I was watching again the episode Grannies Gone Wild and i noticed this:

Yeah, personally I think it was an animation mistake. Like 2 different animators were working on it. One was told it was a Unicorn. The other was told it's supposed to be a Pegasus. Either that or the test screeners just simply overlooked one or the other body part.

His simple horseshoe cutie mark and body size does bring to mind "Earth Pony" though

Big Jim Miller has already commented on that. It was an animation error that was left in, as the mistake wasn't considered bad enough to justify the costs and effort required to fix it.

that's far from the only animation DERPS  that makes ponies into alicorns. Even Rarity was victim of it once  (I doubt she'd mind it tho  )

It's more understandable with background ponies but it's really random when somepony from the Mane 6 (other than Twilight, obviously ) suddenly sprouts wings.
