open The Town That Friendship Forgot

@Pastel Heart

Pencil lightly giggled at Pastel.

“Sure, you can bunk with me! Just be warned, if we have to share a bed I might steal all the blankets, hehe!” she told her half-jokingly.

Pencil didn’t mean to be a bed hog, she was just like that. Regardless of the matter, Pencil was happy to be bunk mates with Pastel. Before she headed back home to get her things, she said,

“I’ll be right back, I just have to get some things. I’ll meet you guys once I’m done,”

It looked like there were multiple sleepovers going on!
Beryl would be sleeping over at Trilby's place, Keen would be sleeping over at Shadow's place, and most of Samurai's friends would be sleeping over at Samurai's place!

@Windy Breeze 🥧, @CameoShadowness

Trilby notices the glow on Beryl's antenna, but didn't question it. Probably just a breeize thing. "Don't worry, I'll show you." He gets up and takes Beryl with him. "Goodnight Shadow, Keen. See you both again soon!" He leaves first. No doubt, Shadow and Keen will leave shortly after. However, as he leaves, a look of shock hits him. He just remembered something he forgot to do today! He was suppose to talk to Astral!! ...Then he shrugs it off. Oh well. The doctor will just have to be upset with him for now.

@Astral Vision, @Dynamo Pad, @ExplosionMare, @Pastel Heart, @C. Thunder Dash, @Kronos the Revenant

Samurai waves goodbye to the guests leaving, including Kronos. "Thank you all for coming over tonight. I hope we have more parties in the future some day." He then turns back to those still here.

Initially, he only offered a sleepover to a few, but now more of his friends are showing interest. "Oh my! This is going to be a bigger sleepover than I thought. Just don't expect the best sleeping conditions. We have blankets, pillows, and sleeping bags here. I don't keep an assortment of traditional beds. Japonies ponies tend to sleep in a very different way. I have one regular bed, so I guess I can loan it to whoever needs it most." Samurai says, showing his patience. He could limit the number of creatures staying over at his house, but he doesn't. Instead, he welcomes them all with a smile. "Follow me, please."

At Thundy's request, Samurai leads them all to another set of rooms in his house. They are more spacious with very minimal furniture. The doors are grid-patterned, sliding paper doors. With a clap of his hooves, various kurokos come around and set up sleeping bags, blankets, and such for all the guests. It may essentially be sleeping on the floor, but the stuff provided is fluffy and well cushioned. Samurai also notices Pencil temporarily leaving to get some things. "Have a safe trip, and hurry back!"

He looks at everyone else that is still here. "Hopefully, I'll see you all in the morning. If not, feel free to ask anything of my kurokos. They'll tend to your every need, and they'll make breakfast." Samurai wishes them all goodnight for now, and heads to his own room.

DAY 5

@Astral Vision, @Buck Testa, @C. Thunder Dash, @CameoShadowness, @Dynamo Pad, @Emerald Heart, @ExplosionMare, @GeneralDirection, @Jack Baker, @Kronos the Revenant, @Windy Breeze 🥧

A new day dawns over the town of Friendshire. A new start for the citizens, and maybe a new start for anyone that should happen to wonder into this town.

Samurai Equine, like always, wakes up earlier than just about any other pony. Despite staying up later than usual the previous night, he makes time to wake up early, meditate, give praise to rulers of Equestria, put on his training clothes, and practice his swordsmanship on practice dummies. He has a space dedicated to this; training at dawn helps keep him sharp for the rest of the day. However, this time... Samurai seems a little distracted. He can't help but think about some things that happened yesterday. An Origami Shinobi suddenly appeared. Kronos tried to warn him about an upcoming war...

Putting his sword away, Samurai looks out at the town through a window. "...It was bound to come to this, wasn't it? Can't just leave things in peace, can you? Leopard..."

No time to waste, then. Samurai changes out of his training clothes, grabs some supplies, leaves a message for his friends, and leaves. Can't afford to lose a single moment.

@Astral Vision, @Pastel Heart, @Dynamo Pad, @ExplosionMare, @C. Thunder Dash

Hopefully, Pastel and Pencil enjoyed bunking together in the same room. More so then that, hopefully Thundy and Chelsea were able to get use to sleeping at Samurai's place. It was only going to be for one night only, so it shouldn't be too bad.

Astral has a lot to think about today. What does he want to do? Where should he begin his research today? That mystery pony he met the other day... That had to be Final Premonition! It just had to be! He said that he wrote the book about the two mayors. And he also said that he'll come back some day to either take the book away, or to take something of equal importance. But what could be just as important as the book? Astral has choices. He can focus on trying to find a good substitute for the book, spend more time with Dynamo to help him with his magic, or perhaps do something else that's equally important. A lot of avenues.

However, as they all slowly awaken and leave the bedrooms, they are soon to find out that Samurai isn't home. In fact, he left them a note in the party room. It reads:

おはよう! Good morning, my friends!
Sorry, but I couldn't join you this morning. I have a lot to do.
Thundy, Chelsea, please feel free to explore the town. Finding a place to live, and a job if you want one, should be too easy!
Astral, Dynamo, Pastel, and Pencil, I'll be back soon. No matter what happens, meet me at the town entrance by late evening.
Mr. Iron Shoal, if you ever want more of that mountain sake, let my kurokos know. There's always more where that came from.
Take care til then, my friends! またね!

Speaking of, the party room is all ready being filled with all kinds of foods to eat for breakfast! The kurokos have been busy preparing food in the kitchen.
The various tables have things like scrambled eggs cooked with soy sauce, rice, natto, misou soup... Okay, maybe there are a lot of asian dishes. But there is also fruit, crepes, muffins, oatmeal, and toast. Not to mention, fruit juice, coffee, and tea. They really went all out to make sure there was enough food for everybody!

@Emerald Heart, @Windy Breeze 🥧

Samurai got to work preparing a hoof-made gift basket filled with things that hopefully Fable will like. If this doesn't convince her that Samurai just wants to be her friend, then nothing will. He leaves it at her door with a greeting card. It says he hopes that she will enjoy everything the town has to offer, and he hopes they can properly spend some time together as fellow friends.

He also makes similar gift baskets for Shadow, Sundae, and Keen. However, each is a little different, custom made for their recipients. Each has an item only they will like like. He leaves it at their doors, offering his good will and friendship.

@Buck Testa, @Ragland Tiger

However, Samurai is the first to report to the hospital. He doesn't request visiting hours. Instead, he just wants to be the first pony to greet Bluebell and the mystery pony (Boulder Dash) as they are hopefully discharged from the hospital. He wasn't there for them before when they needed a hero, but he can definitely be there to help them back on their hooves.

@CameoShadowness

Meanwhile, waking up at a more regular time with the rest of the town, Trilby gets out of bed and freshens himself up a little. He leaves his bedroom and heads down the hallway. "Good morning, Beryl. Sleep well?" Trilby emptied out a cabinet in his hallway and turned it into a miniature bedroom, perfect for Beryl. He fashioned together a quick bed just for her, and a few other amenities. Trilby gives one last yawn. "I'm going to make breakfast. I'll make enough for the both of us."

However, on his way to the kitchen, he hears the phone go off. "Hmm? Who could that be at this hour?" Trilby goes to answer it. "Hello? ... Oh, good morning Mayor White! ... Seriously?! ... Of course, I'll tell him immediately! ... Yes, of course. See you soon, sir." He hangs up and heads back to the kitchen with a smile.

@Kronos the Revenant

As soon as Kronos prepares for a new day and heads to the office, his boss calls him. "Kronos? It's Mayor Black. Hopefully, you got the payment I sent you for the last job. Are you ready for your next assignment?"

@Samurai Equine

Shadow woke up, stretching all her limbs. She slowly opened her eyes.

Only to see Keen, whose leg lay on her belly. Shadow feel something wet on her left cheek. She look to see her roommate drooling dangerously close to her.

“AIEEEEEEEEEEE...!?” Shadow shrieked at Keen's face, prompting the latter wake up.

“Mmm, good morning, Shadow” she said as she rubbed her ears “Gee, I heard something funny. Was there a Rooster living in your apartment?”

“KEEN FAN, YOU DROOLED ON MY FACE!!!”

Time skip brought to you by Sundae Delight...

After a small argument about proper sleeping, Keen and Shadow ate their breakfast which consists of colorful cereals with hot milk.

“So, how did you got here?” Shadow spoke up.

“I don't know. I probably got lost while I was going to Las Pegasus on hooves(foot)” Keen replied.

“Las Pegasus? That city is so far away from any towns or cities. Why didn't you just took a train?” Shadow felt bad for the earth pony. Traveling on hooves? Even a pegasus couldn't flew to the large city without taking a rest.

“Well, I'm broke, and I have only 45 bits left in my saddlebags” Keen explained before lazily put a mouthful of cereals into her mouth.

“I'm glad we met. I have more bits enough for the two of us” Shadow smiled.They then heard someone knocking on the door “I better go check it out” Keen nodded. Shadow stood up and went to answer the door “Hello, I'm Shadow Trail. What can I do for you?” she frowned when she saw nobody “Mmm... That's weird. Where's the pony who knocked on the door?”

“I think those baskets could tell us” Keen approached and picked up one of the baskets “Mmm? This are...”

While Keen was busy looking at her basket, Shadow shouted “Oh my Luna, I've always wanted to own this!”

Sundae's POV

As the sun hit Sundae's face, she swat at it as if trying to hit a fly. She finally opened her eyes “Another day” she uttered. As she was going to stood up, she heard somepony knocking “You can come in!” she yelled. The door opened revealing one of her servants.

“Madame, somepony left a basket for you” the servant told her.

“From whom?”

“Sir Samurai Equine” the servant replied.

“Let me see that” she gently grab the basket from the servant's back using her magic. She gasped at the sight of what she always liked “This couldn't be the...” she looked up at her servant “Veggie, be ready to go outside. We'll be visiting Samurai Equine”

Fable was confused to see the gift bag the next morning. As far as she could think, nobody has ever given her a gift basket unless on Hearthswarming. And even then, it was Emerald Heart who would be so thoughtful.

A part of her hoped it was Emerald, actually. So when she read the gift card she was a bit surprised to see it was from Samurai.

Sighing, Fable brought the basket inside then left the hotel, confronting him immediately.

"Hello." She greeted in a emotionless tone of voice.

Upon hearing his friends wanting to stay for the night, Dynamo smiled as he turned his attention over towards the asian pony. "I guess that pretty much settles it, then. It sounds like this is going to be a pretty awesome and pretty fun sleepover." He started to say, before he suddenly heard Pencil yawning. Without any warning, he closed his eyes as a yawn escaped from his lips. He shook his head to try and make sure that he would stay awake. "Nobody try and yawn too much now. It'll be contagious." He chuckled slightly as he opened his eyes. He turned his attention to Pastel, who seemed to have been bouncing on her grandfather like a trampoline. It looked as if she was trying to wake him up, but he was out like a light. He held back a chuckle as it was a funny sight, but he didn't want to try and incur Iron's wrath. However, he tilted his head slightly upon Pastel's request, before giving her a nod. "I might not be able to draw a pony well, but I suppose I could give it a try. I'll make sure you have the most flashiest and most stylish weapon possible."

He would say, nodding as Samurai had brought up the sleeping conditions. As some of the guests were beginning to take their leave, Dynamo began to follow Samurai as he showed everyone to their rooms. After getting his room situated, Dynamo turned towards the asian pony. "Thank you for letting everyone stay the night, Sam. I guess we'll see you in the morning." He waved goodnight as he started to settle in his sleeping bag, before finally falling asleep.

As a new day had begun in the town of Friendshire, Dynamo was woken up by the sun shining through the windows. He scrunched his eyes shut to block out the light and to fall back to sleep, but it was to no avail. He gave a yawn and slowly opened his eyes. He looked around the room to realize this wasn't his normal room he was in at his home. Upon thinking back to what happened the night before, the blue unicorn soon concluded that he stayed over Samurai's house. It helped that he was still in the sleeping bag that was offered to him. Making his way out of said sleeping bag, Dynamo began to fold the bag. He left the sleeping bag next to Astral as he wasn't sure where to put the borrowed bag. After stretching his back and limbs, Dynamo began making his way out of the bedroom. All the while, making sure that he didn't wake anyone up from their sleep. As he left the guest bedroom, Dynamo sniffed the air as something smelled delicious. He followed the scent towards the party room to see that the kurokos had prepared food in the kitchen. He took notice of a note that was left in the party room. Upon further inspection, he saw that the note had belonged to Samurai. 'Sam wants us to meet up with him at the town entrance at night?' He thought as he wondered what was the reason. He didn't have an exact guess, but it must have been important. For the moment, he decided not to worry about it until the others were awake.

Seeing the food that was available to be taken, Dynamo decided to make a plate to eat breakfast. The gamer pony made a plate of eggs, toast, a crepe and a muffin, and some fruit juice. After taking an available seat, he thanked the kurokos for the breakfast, before he began to eat.

@Samurai Equine

Kronos was peacefully meditating in the streets of Friendshire. He breathed slowly as the wind passed through every crevice of his armor and flowed through his body. He pulled out his zither again and began to play, once again manipulating the wind.

Suddenly, he gets a call. Kronos activated his communicator and replied to his client, “Standing by and awaiting instructions, sir.”

Of course, I'll tell him immediately! ... Yes, of course. See you soon, sir." He hangs up and heads back to the kitchen with a smile.

Little did Trilby realize that Beryl hadn't slept at all. After seeing Trilby poke his head in, she simply got up and out. She flew towards the window and stared outward. Seeing everyone one else made Trilby anxious. This wasn't a good place for breezies. They often have to be secluded for their own health- it's why they had their own pocket dimension but she knew if she was with books it would help somewhat. Sadly she can't make a dimension- not on her own at the very least- and she can't be at the library just yet.. Haring the phone made things worst. That eerie ring agitated her worst and she tried to slip out the window but her little Breezie self was too weak even without the lack of sleep. The world just seems to be falling apart again.

She banged on the glass a few times before stopping and just staring out again. She hated this feeling of being scared. As much as she thought she can trust Trilby, he invited griffons over to the house. She looked around and found some vents and crawled in there. It wasn't a tight fit but it was more comfortable knowing it would be harder for giffons to get in... at least slightly harder.

Remembering the Griffon Breezie wars was one hell of an emotional trip for Beryl. It was an intense subjct in school and she laid in the vents wondering it Griffons ever bothered to change. Sure it's been generations but it was nothing new to have people hold cross generational hatred for groups. She wonders how the Griffons wrote it, she wondered if the Ponies ever even learned about it! With so many thoughts. Beryl traveled the vents until she saw a tight spot. She still easily squeezed her way out and she found herself outside. Still bumbarded by the thoughts and the lack of sleep, she hadn't realized the danger she just put herself in.

@Kronos the Revenant

As she aimlessly flew around letting the stupid breezes do what ever, she eventually crashed into Kronos. Lightly falling on his head, she yawned.

As Kronos played his zither waiting on Mayor Black, he felt a light tap on his head. Not wanting to disturb what landed, he carefully scooped up what was on top of him.

When he saw it was a breezy, he asked, “Oh, hello there, little guy, what brings you here? My zither winds?” He resumed playing his zither with the breezy on his shoulder, this time not trying to create wind so as to not disturb his guest on his shoulder.

If you needed more evidence that Pastel didn't brush her mane, she looked messier than usual but really not much different as she sat up lazily.

"funya... smell food..."

She rolled out of bed lazily, landing with a thump before picking herself up like nothing happened and throwing the loose blanket back on the bed.

"Heeeyyy Pencil there's like, food or something?"

She said like some character in a 90s high school drama before walking into the living room, shaking her hair into place, somehow.

@Dynamo Pad

She saw Dynamo already up and eating before smiling wryly.

"Eating without me, Dyny? You better not be taking all the good stuff for yourself!"

She giggled and hopped up to the table. She glanced over to see Iron Shoal still out like a light. He usually didnt wake up until later, this was fairly normal. She turned her attention to the food and glanced around.

"Where'd all this come from? Are we like using up our lifetime supply of luck!?"

@Pastel Heart

Pencil woke up groggily, the exhaustion from staying up past 1AM still weighing her down. She shook her head around lightly to get rid of the fogginess that was surrounding her brain. When she got up, she saw a very messy looking Pastel flop out of bed and towards the kitchen. She had to admit the sight was humorous. Pushing the stray strands of hair out of her face, Pencil said,

“I’ll...I’ll meet up with you in a...in a minute. I wanna draw...stuff first,” Her words were incredibly slow and short, but she figured Pastel would understand what she meant.

Stretching and getting herself comfortable on the floor, Pencil began to take in the beautiful decor of Samurai’s house. She started with the walls, gently stroking the pencil up and down. She worked her way down towards the floor where she carefully sketched out the sleeping bags and the one bed that sat in the house. She gave the room plenty of free space to highlight the choice of space over furniture.

Pencil analyzed the drawing thoughtfully. She wished she had brought her watercolors to really give the piece a light and peaceful tone. Unfortunately, all she had were colored pencils, so she had to settle for those. She precisely outlined each line and curve and made sure to color as light as possible to make up for the lack of watercolors.

Once she was finished, Pencil put away her things and joined Pastel in the dining area. It smelled incredibly good, almost like a breakfast buffet. Pencil breathed in the scents, feeling instantly relaxed from all the heavenly smells. She looked around at the food options and saw many things she recognized and many things she didn’t. She grabbed a plate of muffins, eggs, and toast, and was confident enough to try the soup. The soup was a bit strange to her, but regardless, she still ate it.

@Samurai Equine

Pencil started to strike up a conversation with her friends, but was distracted by a strange note on the table. It said that Samurai would be gone for a while, and that everypony should meet at the center of town later tonight.

“I hope he’s okay, whatever he’s doing,” Pencil muttered. She knew it probably wasn’t a big deal as far as where Samurai was, but the note he left was rather vague. Pencil couldn’t help but being a little concerned. It was just how she was.

The hospital had some excitement in the morning when a certain Colt awoke. Fear had gripped the groggy Boulder when he had awoken in the hospital. He was only vaguely aware of where he was, but now that he was awake he was not sure if he could Trust these ponies. The second he had arrived in Equestria he had been met with one hardship after another from those creatures called Diamond Dogs, who was to say the ponies were any different? In that frightened state he had decided to try to make a break for it.

Try being the operative word.

He managed to get through a floor of the building before he had been caught. Ponies had been rather surprised by the young colt's strength, which easily sent some of the security flying with a shove. He scrambled along the floor, walls, and even ceiling to try and make a break for it, employing both his strength and those strange hooves he had to grip and adhere to those surfaces. Even some of the flying ones had a hard time trying to nab him with how he spiraled around the corridors, trying to find an opening to escape.

This attempt at an escape was cut short however by some of the horned ponies. Those Unicorn creatures had some kind of telekinetic ability that was able to halt the fleeing Boulder in mid jump, rendering all the strength he had in his tiny colt body useless. It didn't matter if he was physically stronger than a lot of ponies here if he couldn't get a foothold, or a hoofhold he should probably say.

"Easy there." The Doctor said, "You're not in any danger, you don't need to try to run away okay? Nopony is going to hurt you."

It was true from the looks of it. Even when they had been trying to catch him it didn't seem like they were trying to cause him harm. Hearing it spoken in that calm way helped calm his nerves a bit and loosen his body. It wasn't long before he was back in his bed, talking with the Doc about what had happened to him.

The night went by smoothly. Thundy woke up earlier than Chelsea and saw the letter. He then gathered some electricity and stretched, sparks crackling loudly. He shapeshifted into his bipedal form, now standing about 5'10". He hoped that this wouldn't freak anyone out. He heard some chatter and went to seek out the others. He soon found some of the others. "Mornin' y'all. What's for breakfast?" He asked.

Chelsea was still sleeping in a little.

When he saw it was a breezy, he asked, “Oh, hello there, little guy, what brings you here? My zither winds?” He resumed playing his zither with the breezy on his shoulder, this time not trying to create wind so as to not disturb his guest on his shoulder.

Beryl yawned. As much as thoughts kept her awake, they seem to be finding away to put her alseep as well... But maybe it wasn't her thoughts doing it but the wind magic Kronos was using. After all it felt a lot different than normal wind the moment Beryl realized what he was doing. She yawned and got herself cozy on his shoulder unconsciously... "wegah.... debah.... yog...tyon..." she spoke nothing but nonsense as something was too comferting about this... Something about his magic reminded her of home causing her to finally drift off. "byon"

The mayor continues the call. "I am thinking of causing some less-than-organized chaos for the town, today. I am thinking stink bombs, bee canons, glitter showers... Nothing lethal, just something to shake the citizens up and keep them on edge. What do you say? Got anything in your arsenal that can do anything like that?"

Meanwhile, Trilby was too lost in his own world having just woken up and all. He went straight to the kitchen and began making food. "Maybe I should ask about that glowing stuff... Would it be rude?" Trilby asks himself. However, after a while, he notices it is taking Beryl to come down for breakfast. "...Beryl? Mini Horse? You okay? ...Need any help?" When he gets no reply, he leaves the kitchen and starts walking down the hall again. "...Beryl?"

He checks the cabinet. Gone. He checks some other rooms in his house. Gone. He checks up and down and all over. Still gone. "BERYL?!?!" Trilby runs outside his house, still in his jammies, and looks around. "BERYL?! WHERE ARE YOU?!?!" He checks shrubs and hedges, looking around desperately. "...Please, be okay. Maybe she just went back to the library or something? Oh, but I remember reading that breezies can't even handle the slightest breeze. She could be halfway to Canterlot by now!" Trilby knows he should try leaving his home and checking all around town, but Friendshire is still a big place. If Beryl isn't somewhere on his property, and she's not at the library, then he has no idea where to begin looking.

@Emerald Heart

But Samurai was in a hurry, and halfway gone by the time she opened the door. "Sorry! Can't talk! Places to be! But I think you're awesome, and I swear I'm gonna find a way to make you smile! Okay, BYE!!!" Samurai says rather quickly as he dashes off to complete all the things he wanted to do today, including visiting the hospital.

@Buck Testa

The staff work with the doctor, doing their best to calm him down. Once they have him back in his room, they let him know that he is in a hospital, that he was found in desperate need of medical care, etc. They ask him for his name, if he remembers how he got in such a bad condition, and so on. All the normal questions any medical staff would ask.

And also, they mention that he has a visitor in the lobby, when he is feeling up to it that is.

@Samurai Equine

Fable's neutral expression shifted into a generally sad frown. All she had wanted was to thank him for the basket.

But apparently, it was unacceptable to have trouble expressing your feelings. I never smile. Fable thought to herself, but that doesn’t mean I'm always unhappy.

But now she truly was unhappy. Fable sighed and dipped her head, a small tear dripping down her face.

Why did I even bother?

She saw Dynamo already up and eating before smiling wryly.

"Eating without me, Dyny? You better not be taking all the good stuff for yourself!"

She giggled and hopped up to the table. She glanced over to see Iron Shoal still out like a light. He usually didnt wake up until later, this was fairly normal. She turned her attention to the food and glanced around.

"Where'd all this come from? Are we like using up our lifetime supply of luck!?"

@Pastel Heart @ExplosionMare @C. Thunder Dash @Astral Vision @Samurai Equine

Dynamo's ears perked as he heard Pastel was addressing him. He looked over to see that she and Pencil, who had both made their appearance in the party room. "Good morning Pastel and good morning Pencil. How are you both? Were you able to get any sleep?" He asks, tilting his head at Pastel's question. "Oh, no. I just woke up. I was going to wait for everyone, but I wasn't sure if anyone was awake. I wouldn't be too sure on if everyone was a morning pony or not. I'd say I'm cursed to be a morning pony as I have a habit of waking up super early." He chuckled with a sheepish smile. "Also, I wouldn't plan on doing that. I try to take what I can eat and I'm actually pretty hungry. If there's something I'm not able to eat. Say for example the muffin or crepe, then I'll put it right back." He smiled as Pastel hopped up into an available chair, before taking a bite of his food.

"I was just as surprised as you are when I saw all of this food. I think Samurai had said last night that the kuroko's would make breakfast for everyone. If not, then I think he left a note explaining everything." He explained, turning to Pencil as he thought he heard her mutter. "I just hope he's okay too. He's a pretty competent pony. So, I know he'll be able to take care of himself. I just wonder why he wants some of us to meet him at the entrance. I hope there's nothing wrong." He nodded, starting to feel worried and curious of what would happen in the evening.

The gamer pony's ears perked once more as he thought he had heard the crackle of electricity. It didn't help that some of his mane began to stand on end from the electricity. He heard a new voice making it's presence as he turned towards the source of the voice. At the moment, he was caught slightly off guard as he saw Thundy, who was standing on two legs. At the same time, the blue unicorn was shocked to see that Thundy was very tall. He had never met anyone who either was that tall before. He shook his head to try and get his mane under control, before giving the griffon hybrid a smile. "Good morning, Thundy. How are you and how did you sleep? It seems like Samurai's kuroko's went and cooked us a breakfast feast. We've got crepe's eggs, fruit, oatmeal, toast, scrambled eggs and other stuff."

DAY 5

@Astral Vision, @Buck Testa, @C. Thunder Dash, @CameoShadowness, @Dynamo Pad, @Emerald Heart, @ExplosionMare, @GeneralDirection, @Jack Baker, @Kronos the Revenant, @Windy Breeze 🥧

@Astral Vision, @Pastel Heart, @Dynamo Pad, @ExplosionMare, @C. Thunder Dash

@CameoShadowness

@Kronos the Revenant

As soon as Kronos prepares for a new day and heads to the office, his boss calls him. "Kronos? It's Mayor Black. Hopefully, you got the payment I sent you for the last job. Are you ready for your next assignment?"

@Samurai Equine @Dynamo Pad @Pastel Heart @C. Thunder Dash @ExplosionMare

As the dawn peered through the dancing window drapes, Astral slowly awoke to greet the morning sky. The sun shone brightly across Friendshire, and the wind was brisk and clear; the unicorn could tell that today would be very enjoyable, weather-wise at least. After a quick analysis of his surroundings, Astral noticed Dynamo's absence, though he was probably just downstairs getting breakfast. It was hard for Astral to believe how much had occurred in the past 4 days; he had discovered another mystery cloaked in magic lore, he had made good friends with many ponies, and he had even met a REAL dragon! However, there was still so much to do. The prior night's abduction had an impact on Astral. The pony he met MUST have been Final Premonition, there couldn't be any other explanation, but why had he appeared? If he was the author of the book, it made sense he would wish for its return, though only confusion plagued Astral's mind at his latter statement.

'I will come to take the book back someday, OR something of equal importance. I hope to see you and your friends succeed where I failed.'

What could Final possibly want other than his book? Either way, if the elder had been involved with the mayors' divide, then his advice regarding the book was probably truthful. Astral only hoped that his friends were prepared for the challenge they would face, and that any resulting loss was a minor consequence.

"I suppose I'm going to have to find another route of study? Perhaps I should go visit that Trilby Hatter pony again, maybe his boss will agree to meet?"

Astral put his grey jacket back on, grabbed his satchel bag, and slowly trotted back to the main living room. The aroma of many great breakfast delicacies filled the room with euphoric joy, and the blue unicorn was quick to fill his plate whilst joining his friends.

"Good morning everypony, and griffon as well, how did you sleep?"

Astral quickly darted his head to the left, and then to the right; it seemed they were a pony short.

"Has Samurai left already?"

Dynamo turned to give Astral a smile as said pony had finally made his appearance. “Good morning Astral. I was able to sleep pretty well. How about you? How did you sleep?” The gamer pony was about to ask why was Astra was looking around, but stopped as he suddenly got his answer. “Yeah. Apparently he left earlier.” He nodded as he pointed towards the note that was on the table. “I didn’t see him, but I saw a note he had left. He said he’ll try and be back later. However, the. It’s said Sam wanted you, Pastel, Pencil and myself to meet up with him later tonight. We have to meet him at the town entrance. Do you happen to know why? It just seemed out of nowhere, but I hope everything is okay.” He would say, giving a look of concern to Astral and everyone else that was in the room.

Thundy looked at Dynamo whose mane was apparently standing due to his sparks. He chuckled quietly to himself. "Those all sound good but, us griffons do eat meat...so...eehehe...any chance you could fix us some sausage?" Thundy asked scratching the back of his head.

Suddenly, a sound like flowing water was heard and a puddle sort of made it's way into the hallway. The puddle slowly materialized...and there was Chelsea, still looking half asleep. "Hey sleepyhead." Thundy said stroking Chelsea's mane lovingly. Chelsea purred and slowly rubbed herself on Thundy as her physical way of saying good morning.

As more ponies (and griffons) appeared in the room, the sleepiness Pencil felt began to dissipate. The light chatter woke her up enough to form coherent sentences, which she was grateful for.

“Morning, guys! How’d you guys sleep? I’m still a little tired cause I had to get up early to work, but I’m more awake now that you guys are here,” she told the small gathering.

Upon seeing the griffons use their special abilities once again, Pencil couldn’t help but be in awe at the display of such raw talent. She personally thought it would be cool to make a dramatic entrance the way the griffons did.

“I don’t suppose there’s a unicorn translation for the teleportation spells you guys use?” she asked Chelsea and Thundy.

"Hehe, I haven't had a breakfast this big in a long time! Usually it's just me and grandpa, well, if he's awake which he's not this time... Still! I think Sami will be okay though, he's tough! He kinda almost skewered grandpa so I think he'll be okay even if he got attacked by a dragon or got kidnapped by pirates!"

What a crazy imagination.

Pastel waved to her friends, both old and new.

"Hello, everycreature~! Come get in on this breakfast party! Dyny said Sami will meet us later or something? I should wake grandpa up before then, nyahaha."

The kurokos are doing a pretty good job of tending to everyone that stayed at Samurai's place.

However, when Thundy asked for meat, they panic. They make no noise, which is part of their custom. Silent as ninja, and always cloaked. But their body language expresses panic as they look amongst each other and quake in fear. Eventually, one shakes their head no and waves their hoof back and fourth before pulling out a miniature dry-erase board and writing a message on it. The message says:

Sorry, but that would be very troublesome for us. Ponies don't usually eat meat. If you wish to eat sausage, you'll have to go somewhere else for that.
The only thing we can provide is fake, imitation products.

@Emerald Heart

If Fable looks at the letter attached to the gift basket, she'll notice it has a lot to say. Somewhere in it, Samurai writes that he regrets he hasn't spent much time with Fable, but he truly wants to. Also, he wanted to invite her to the after-party, but he couldn't find her when the race is over. But he promises he will do his best to make sure no one goes forgotten.

@Kronos the Revenant, @CameoShadowness

"Then I leave it all to you, and I expect quite the entertaining report by the end of the day. Also, don't be afraid to cause some minor collateral damage here and there. I'll pay that off myself." The mayor ends the call.

If Kronos listens carefully, even with enhanced hearing, he might be able to faintly hear Trilby calling out for Beryl. They aren't exactly next door or anything, but then again, his house isn't extremely far away either.
