So I am kinda surprised they still use vector art style, with a lot of more shades. To me, this is a very good thing! Check it out (if you haven't already)!

If the center of the world is Sugarcube Corner, a bakery, that's not saying much.  It's a small world after all. 

That's not a joke with mean-spirited intent, I'm still impartial towards this show. I'm just glad that there's some information being shared about it since we've barely had any so far.

I was very surprised with the design. This is so much better than any 3D animations we have seen so far. Hopefully DHX will do the animations, please Hasbro!

 

I think the commercial used hand drawn animation? Or do I have a bad memory? How are they going to keep up with that extra shading? It's so heavy work for animation x_x

Here's seemingly more artwork. Iffy on the over-the-top expressions but for Pinkie it works. A, B, F, and H look genuinely adorable

I mean the art's all good and well, but if the stuff in the show is for 4 year olds like my brother, than I probs won;t like the show too much. Yea, FIM was for children as well, but it contained stuff that everyone of all ages can relate to. But this doesn;t seem to have that.

That's so much more work than FIM's basic outlines. This is probably just for poster art. There is no way they will be able to animate that, with the crazy expressions!

They probs could animate it, but it'll cost way too much money and take too much time lol. The poster art is just to draw viewers in

I am still thinking about Rainbow Roadtip. How they managed to do the shading for that special. There is one difference though. That animation was way too loose and felt like a trick (to me). I am sure there was some 3D program doing work in the background. I don't like the pony design from that special either. But the quality is there somehow.

 

And to get to the point, I don't think they can even get close to the quality for Rainbow Roadtrip using this style (Pony Life). The Pony Life style is extremely cool, I am in awe. I just don't think it is possible even with having more money. I hope I am wrong!

If that is from the show, it is still very good!

EDIT: Question though... Where are the extreme sparkles in her eyes? That's Hasbro's new thing.

I do have a problem with their cheeks though, never been fond of cheeks.

Ftfy. Never seen a smile poke into someone's eye, anime or not. It makes their mouths look like they were copy pasted onto their face. Chibi figures never had such problems with facial anatomy.
