It was an interesting experience to say the least. The projection quality was that of an old CRT TV, and the sound was,,, odd? Speakers were on posts next to each spot, but you lose any possible surround sound feeling due to the openess of the outdoors. The movie was Finding Nemo and I thoroughly enjoyed it despite my description. Visited the lot frequently since it was also used for a flea market.

I've been a couple times.

This was years ago with my family where we went like 3 times.

I don't remember all the movies we saw but I know we saw Fast 5 which was pretty good.

And Paul which is one of my favs films of all time now!

Def. a great experience, but wouldn't watch anything too serious there, do to the tons of people and noise.

No. Apparently there used to be one around here before I was born but it closed. So there aren’t any around where I live now.

Twice actually, but that was years ago. And both times our car battery ended up dying after the movie and we needed a jumpstart to get going again.

I'm lucky enough to live less than ten miles from a drive-in, actually! The best part of the experience is always having a double feature. It gives you a lot more value, even if the second film isn't one you're too interested in. It's a regular summer visit for me!

Many times. Last time was for Wonder Woman and the last Pirates of the Caribbean movie. It wasn't very good because because of poor sound, a dim projection and we had to park way in the back. Because a mini-SUV is under the same designation as a van or a truck in terms of parking. Oh and mosquitoes.

Never seen in person. For all I know they only exist in fictional media like the ending credits of Cars, an animaniacs episode, and Scooby Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf

There are about five or six drive-in theaters within less than an hour's drive from my home. Before the pandemic I had been to one of them once, just to see what it was like. Over the past summer, with the regular theaters closed, I've been back a number of times. I saw "Bill and Ted Face the Music" at one of them, as well as a number of older movies which I had been interested in but hadn't gotten around to watching.

I’ve never been to one, sadly. I saw one from a turnpike once, playing some movie I couldn’t identify, and it looked like fun. I think they’re a great idea; you can talk, eat, make noise and bring your own refreshments if you wish and no one can be disturbed by it. I don’t really see a downside.
