I've always enjoyed Science Fiction and Fantasy. I have a wild imagination, and those genre provoke said imagination. Plus ponies are nice too. I like reading fanfics, those get me thinking.

I get inspired for web design by reading books on the basics of web design and reading interviews. I try to avoid using other people's designs as inspiration because I tend to find that bits of their designs show up in my own design unintentionally.

 

I've heard that music works for a lot of people, but I can't ever seem to convert my feelings for music into visual art.

It depends on what direction I'm going with my art (pony art or my other projects) But usually Music is the consistent provider of inspiration. I love to just think, and music is able to give a little twist to those thoughts

I find it easy to get a picture in my mind of things... but the actually putting in on paper (or well, digital paper) can be a different story But those rough ideas are a great way to start.

And I don't think ideas always turn out like you imagined, so I also expect the lesser ones out on paper. Nothing is bad if you can learn from it to make other better.

 

And well, besides music, I just go with the flow in life, look on the internet, watch what's new, click links or just looking for more info on something. Sometimes you find things you don't expect.

 

In the end I embrace all experiences, because they all have a chance to influence me and my art. Let them be good or bad

Once I went to the room where I play with my band, it is in an old factory. But the door was locked and I didn't have a key, so I was outside and some stairs went to some kind of balcony, so I went there, sat down and just watched the old and a little bit rotten factory when I started to think about a song, and some minutes later I had the idea for a great new song

Definitely calculus. The way calculus made all those years of seemingly pointless graphs click just makes me want to study more and more. Especially when I apply other aspects of maths to find out an answer from a few bits of information I initially got. It's a fantastic feeling and just motivates me to find other things like that. How everything just clicks to make so much sense. It really gives everything I do purpose.

Well, I haven't done a whole lot of Pony art, but whenever I draw I normally listen to some type of music.

 

Especially Instrumental music. I find that if I listen to a instrumental song that matches the mood/feel of a picture that I'm doing, I tend to draw better.

EDIT: Also I would say I find calm electronic like the style on Summit, by Skrillex ft. Ellie Goulding to be powerful as well.^^

Movies man. Especially the ones with epic theme songs like BTTF or Indiana Jones. I would like to create a comic or animation that can capture people's hearts like those films.

I am inspired by a wide variety of things... such as ponies, a few comics I see on the internet, Final Fantasy, some forms of anime, and Pokémon, and Digimon. These are a lot of my main inspirations. Though honestly, I usually don't need much in the way of inspiration as my mind often comes up with crazy ideas on its own out of nowhere. It just comes naturally. I kind of self-inspire even though that sounds really arrogant. (I don't really mean to! I'm just saying my mind's usually just... brimming with all sorts of ideas.)

Well i'm inspired by Runescape alot, since most of my drawings are based off of it. Then i' m also inspired by MLP. and then im inspired (tired of typing that (inspired), so I won't anymore) by games I play (other then Runescape) like Bioshock, Assassains creed, Gran Turismo, Battlefield. I don't think I really listen to music, I just think back to what most of my life has been about.
