You ever have that awkward moment...

In her defense, MLP ponies really don't look like real ponies... :P They actually remind me more of dogs. Except for the whole mane-thing. Dogs don't have manes. Nor do walruses.

Ya I figured that might be why, anyway I just finished the drawing and showed her and she said it looked nice, that was it tho. She knows it's a pony now, I find it odd that she doesn't seem to question why her son is drawing a ponies. Can't be certain if she's oblivious or just doesn't care.

Hmmm... Oh!So I was super-excitedly watching 'A Canterlot Wedding' on its broadcast date. Big event, and all. But as I sat watching through the beginning of Part 2, my older brother comes in, sees me watching it, and decides to plop himself down on the couch and watch it with me. (He knows about the MLP phenomenon but doesn't much care for it- he's a furry, I believe.) So at first, he asks the question "God, why is this show so addicting?!" and I give him the standard "superb animation, excellent voice acting, marvelously written plot, etc." answer. We continue to watch to the end, and he makes several comments as the storyline goes along, like when Queen Chrysalis reveals herself he says "This show is NOT for children." Finally, we get to the part where Cadence and Shining Armor unite their horns in love, and of all things he says "Touch tips!" This threw me off. Lol, certainly a memorable day. Just not sure if that's the way I'd want to remember it :PBut perhaps the most awkward moment was when my dad saw me watching a rerun of 'Hearts and Hooves Day'. It went something like this:

Yeah, I though of that too, especially how ponies typically don't sit like this; the way Big Macintosh sits rememinds me of a dog

Kind of like the time I wanted to put a pony on my class ring, but I had to choose one of the preset designs. There were real ponies, but I wasn't even close to what I really wanted...

Ever have that awkward moment while listening to pony music (without headphones) , watching, an episode (again without headphones), making a reference, or even accidentally bursting into spontaneous song in front of a bunch of none bronies or some of your friends who just happen to hate us? Or something more simple like humming a tune loudly during a presentation and not realizing everybody is staring at you?

A few days back, my principal came into class to give a presentation about school expectations (it was the 2nd day back). About halfway through when he started talking about drug and alcohol abuse associated deaths, I quickly grew bored and my train of thought left for ponyville. I started thinking about Pinkie and it brought a very obvious smile to my face but when i looked at my principal he gave me the

"Seriously Bro?" look and I stared back at him and said "Eeyup"! Also, right after class he pulled me outside to ask me what was so funny. Just as I was about to explain I drop my backpack but they way i dropped it activated my ipod and SOMEHOW my music was on shuffle or on the "brony made: playlist because Luna (the Eurobeat Brony song) started playing REALLY loud. I did need to explain it to him after that since he saw I was really embarrassed.

What did your principal ended up saying in the end? (if you want to tell that is). As for me and an embarrasing moment...eh...the only one I can think of was when a classmate in college asked me about the two pony pins that I have (I with Doctor Whooves and the TARDIS and another with Lyra and Bon Bon parodying Men In Black). I explained the one with Doctor Whooves, said that it was a parody from Doctor Who, and that the it was done in a show called now My Little pony: Friendship Is Magic. Luckily for me, no one said anything else...or...so I think. i explained out loud, but my cheeks were still red as hell I think.

He just ended up hanging his head low and laughing his way into his office...so as awkward as it stands ponies can get a laugh out of almost anybody.

The mind of the host will desperately try to create memories where none exist. Simple right?

Seems to be the almost normal trend it seems. Well, whatever the case, it could have been worse I guess. Besides, fate and universe wanted your principal to know about ponies if your backpackf ell like that with such bad luck for you. This is why I sometimes invent songs out of this. And considering it was the start of school, I can tweak This Day Aria appropiately:

"This day has not been perfect

The kind of day I didn't dream when I was small

So instead of celebrating, I find myself just breaking

Why life can't be nice for once and stop being such a bitch~"

I think this can apply to many ^_^ .

Today I got a text message at dinner, which caused my phone to scream "HUZZAH" in Princess Luna's voice. In front of my family...

Later, I got a phone call from my sister needing to talk to my parents because they didn't answer their phones. I gave the phone to my mom and left, not realizing that when the call ended that my mom would get a nice look at my phone's wallpaper:

She handed the phone back to me and said "Cute pony." and I was forced to walk away in embarrassment. However I am relieved that she doesn't find Derpy "offensive."

I once attempted a flash mob with a few others, singing Smile Smile Smile. Needless to say, people stared at us, but had no clue what we were singing. So by the time we were finished, it was really awkward as nobody got the reference.

  • 3 weeks later...

I was on the school bus the other day and decided to listen to some Alex-S pony tracks on my phone. It was only after a few minutes when I realised that a few people were looking at me with a strange expression- i didn't plug the headphones properly, so the music played also from the speakers!

Luckily they seemed to forget about it afterwards- an encountertoo close for comfort

LOL i got this...

So the night i told my parents i watch my little pony

I had sent a text to my mom

"hey mom, i couldn't say it earlier but i like my little pony, it's an awesome show."

*i couldn't say it all day because of clingy sibilings that won't leave their sides*

So she comes home like 10 mins after i sent that

"I didn't understand your text"

*mind that she's saying this in front of everyone...*

"what do you mean mom?"

"what did you mean in this text?"

"what text?"

"You like my little ponies, what?"

*i look around*

"ummm yeah... come here and look at my computer"

*go to my room and turn on computer, rainbow dash mark on it*

"what is that?"

"it's rainbow dash's mark from the show"

"what is the rainbow supposed to signify?"

"ummm... nothing? it's the character... it's not gay..."

"well it sure is weird..."

*dad comes in*

(and i'll save the rest for another time ^^

I've mentioned this in an other thread but, it was in art class everyone including me were concentrating on our work. It was really quiet until- My little pony, my little pony ahh ahh ahh ahhhhhhhhhhh....

...my dad called.

I ran out of the class room to answer it, my friends just looked at me and kept on calling me cute.

there was an other time when it was really quiet in digital media class the teacher was talking and I forgot to turn my phone on silent. SOOUUPS ON EVERYPONY!!! not only I got a text message, I startled the person right next to me and I think I may have had a few stares too...

Last year our cable went out just in time for the first episode of season two. Since it was out for a couple of days, (I couldn't use my neighbor's WIFI, the whole street was out!) I went on down the the public library. I watched part one of "The Return of Harmony" right there on a library computer in their internet area. There's a slight difference in how I felt, and others that are posting here. I didn't give a flying feather if people looked over my shoulder to see what I was watching! So no, I guess I never had an awkward pony moment!

I make pony references all the time without realizing that none of my RL friends like the show xD it's the same thing for Doctor Who.

It's always odd when people walk I to my room because I have the mane 6 (all hair is styled like the show) sitting on my bookshelf, which is the first thing you see when you walk in. My family was really understanding when I told them I was a Pegasister but I know my older sister thinks im stupid. I got her son into MLP as well. :3 she was not pleased when he said he wanted to be Doctor Hooves for Halloween. xD

No offense, but if you find your ring tones and alert sounds to be embarrassing, why did you set them up with My Little Pony sound bites in the first place?

I proudly show that I'm a brony! No one wants to make fun of me. I'll crush them under my long boring lectures about the show. Also I'd beat them up. I already had to beat someone up sadly. I hate violence but it was unavoidable. WOO I'M A CRAZY SOVIET PROFESSOR!!

The only time I would ever pull out my smartphone is the Lunch period, but sometimes theatre class when we're allowed to. Well I would usually love to play MLP:FiM music without my headphones and watch pony videos, but the worst comment I've ever gotten was "Boy ponies are gay,".

It's pretty okay at my school since the Elements of Harmony was mention during a school PA channel.

My parents always see me on this sight and they don't really mind at all.

Well, me and my brother were at youth conference (it's a fun 3 day activity with the young men and women), and he dislocated his knee during the dance we had.

We went to the hospital to relocate it, and he was wearing a brony shirt at the time. The doctors kept looking at him weird and I was slightly embarrassed.

That wasn't the worst part though... When we came back to the dorms (we were 2 hours away from my house so we had to wait for our dad), the leaders let him go on the internet with the laptop.

He started to watch MLP on Netflix, and I knew the young men were going to come back from their activity soon... When they came back, it was SO embarrassing! After him getting injured in front of everyone, and after going to the hospital, he is found sitting in the lobby watching My little Pony.

I stood there helplessly as they laughed at him on the inside. I wanted to run away and hide in a corner...

I was eating dinner with my family and I decided to put some music, for y'know ambiance. Anyhow, I plugged my iPod in the speakers and put it on shuffle. All was fine until the iPod chose to play Pinkie Pie's Smile song. That was ..awkward. Especially since this isn't like the kind of music I usually listen to. My younger sister liked it though, she said it was catchy. I don't think she knew it was a my little pony song though.

I was humming Winter Wrap Up during a test. Turns out I sung it out loud.

I met no pegasisters that day...but a lot of humiliation. Then I turned on my haters gonna hate mode and started singing Smile Smile Smile. LOUD.

I was humming Fluttershy's version of the MLP theme song in my college class while we were doing stuff on the computer Luckily nobody noticed me

So you were hummed that about three times, and then you gagged and threw up some orange stuff? That would of sucked if anyone were to see you.

Just kidding. :)

And I thought I was the only person this happens to. This happens constantly to me at completely inappropriate times. Such as the time when my phone, which has So Many Wonders as a ringtone, went off during an assembly.

I didn't call it embarrassing now did I? I just find it awkward having my phone go off during class when it's all quiet, doesn't matter which ringtone I have. http://mlpforums.com/public/style_emoticons/default/dry.png

besides I forget to turn it on silent...
