Would you make a bad moderator?

Probably not. I personally don't approve of unacceptable grammar, and I can be a little strict at times, but I feel that I could uphold the rules, work well with other moderators and administrators, and make sure that every thread is in the right place and on-topic.

 

Of course, my biggest constraint would be time. I don't post often enough on this site.

I like helping people in all kinds of different ways, which is essentially what a moderator does, but sometimes i break rules myself xD

I can't handle any responsibilities or any pressure. I am emotionally unstable and I let my emotions control over me. I couldn't ban anyone without feeling bad. I'm too soft. I'm too weak. I always think people can change the better and I would give infinite opportunities. I can't make decisions which can change other peoples lives. I can do nothing.

 

I just can't do it ! I have huge respect for all the people who have taken this challenging job !

Yes I would be a bad moderator... I have a complete lack of authority, I know! I used to run a forum years ago and I was absolutely awful at it! People were breaking rules left right and centre and I was such a doormat I just let them get away with it... I don't approve of people breaking rules and I'd gladly report someone if I feel they are consistently breaking rules but I would be terrible at enforcing them and dishing out punishment!

I don’t know if I’d be a bad or good moderator, I’ve never been given a chance to see if I would be any good at it.

 

I would really like to be a moderator on MLP Forums personally though, even if it was on a trial basis just to see if I was any good at it and even if I wasn’t and went back to member, just to have had the chance would be quite nice.

I'd be a terrible mod. I can be both unusually merciful and unusually cruel at totally random times and I won't usually spend the time to do my duties since I'll spend all of my time playing games, posting on this and other forums or working/sleeping.

Probably. I'd either be so timid that I'd give in to the decisions of the rest of the mods even if I really disagreed, or unable to argue my point well and thus not really make a difference to the decision taken. Also, I'd be too lenient for many things and worried about upsetting members (I can imagine myself being a mod locking a topic, and putting a picture of the OP's favourite pony on my post there so as to soften the blow x3)... and then there's the fear that I'd make lots of mistakes that affect innocent members...  -_-

I would make a bad moderator because:

 

1. I am terrible at using forums.

 

2. I Would not be able to keep track of right and wrong.

 

3. I am not very internet savvy as a whole.

 

4. I don't spend as much time here as I used to thanks to a few bad current Moderators I will not mention.

 

5. I don't agree with some rules that are set around here.

I imagine I'd make a great moderator. (There's no other way for me to say that without appearing pretentious). Despite my young age, I'm fairly mature and I know how to handle stressful situations well. Or at least well enough, anyway.

I was a community moderator on a gaming site a couple of years ago. Since the site was rather exclusive, I was the "go to" moderator if you had any issues.

I would probably make a bad moderator, not saying that I would not take my job seriously and not saying that I lack judgement, but I don't know a lot about computers and I think it is required for a moderator to know something about programming  . 

 

I would probably be a moderator that would make sure that the rules are followed, but I would still be asking other moderators for their opinion, since I could not pass a judgement completely on my own :T.

I think that I would be a great moderator... if it was something that I was motivated to do. I don't get emotional very easily (and especially not on the internet) and I always think before I post/make a decision in general. I am good at understanding things, as well as taking and using feedback well, both positive and negative. I also have a ton of time on my hands and could possibly be online at any time that is most necessary, since I have a very flexible schedule.

 

However, I am not really interested in being a moderator, so I most likely wouldn't be able to properly perform my duties.

Hm... Every time there's a reference to swearing (In my opinion), dirty stuff, or violent stuff... I would put the max number of warning on everypony who does that. :3
