THRIVE: What on Earth Will it Take?

*after re-reading this introduction, I was a tad bit biased with blind optimism. However, simply take the information as is and draw your own conclusions. Maybe even follow up with research. After all, keeping an open mind is healthy...but not so open that you let anything in! Decide for yourself:

I love you guys. Why? Because we all share a common interest in a cartoon show that promotes morals, values, and harmony. To be more truthful, I love humanity in general because of our amazing artistic and analytical abilities, as well as our amazing ability to love. Some of us may think a true Utopian society is just a dream, only to be shattered once we awaken to the reality of our daily lives. BUT, do we really know what our reality is? What if we could create free energy, end world hunger, create a fair monetary system, and actually learn to love one another? Why can't we THRIVE?

If the above trailer has gotten your attention, then I invite all of you to spare the next two hours in order to watch one of the most important video productions you will ever see. I ask that you keep an open mind, and imagine the possibilities! What if a world like Equestria (with its harmony, balance, and love) truly is possible? And if so, why aren't we THRIVING? Let us watch Thrive together, and I would love to read your thoughts after words. I have posted the video link, or you can visit their website for more information! And so, the 2 hours begins...

-be sure to watch in HD and/or Full Screen!

I appreciate you bringing this to the table, but here's my problem with this. That trailer just made the whole movement seem, a bit farfetched. UFO's? Secret World Government? Patterns to free energy?

It's a nice sentiment but this wouldn't be the way to bring the proverbial utopia to fruition.

Universally speaking, a trailer for movement XYZ falls on its face when it relies on UFOs to bolster its claims to legitimacy. This is doubly shameful, since many of the fundamental ideas in that film are legitimate. How utterly shameful that it falls back on stupid, contrived cliches to draw in people who (ironically) are supposedly unable to think for themselves before seeing this life-changing film.

A for effort. F for execution.

There is no "simple" answer for the world's troubles. If such an answer existed, it would be well known. Don't be a hopelessly optimistic fool and swallow this crap. Do your own research, rather than eating up 2 hours of somebody else's shtick.

Hahahahaha! I saw a friend of a friend on Facebook post that sometime earlier this year. To this day, I still ask him every now and then if his house is powered by energy patterns the aliens left us, or if he's met any shape-shifting reptilians masquerading as world leaders yet.

All the alien free energy tech in the world won't stop people from disagreeing, which will cause conflict and ruin the utopia.

First of, let me start by saying the response to this is almost perfect! It is much better to be safer and skeptical, than to accept other opinions or "facts" based on some pretty deep speculation.

What isn't farfetched these days? Especially if it is a completely new concept. Albert Einstein was one of those individuals orginal thought to be "out there", but he was able to prove his concept through actual scientific research. Now, my only hope for this video is the quality of the production...they spent a great amount of money on the website as well as the movie, so they must believe in their points (or they are complete scammers trying to make a quick buck) but only time will tell. The actual two-hour video has a lot of interesting points, however. To play devils advocate, this so called "free energy" mysteriously disappears or is seized by the government, and the only good video of said free energy machine is extremely low quality.

I wouldn't call the film "life changing". But in the OP, I did have some optimistic bias (but certainly would never "swallow this crap" without my own conclusions and research) . I should have been more neutral. Regardless, the film does have legitimate points, yet I wouldn't call it ruined based on points they made about UFO's. UFO's are like most things: wildly speculative based off of evidence, but also misinformation. How do you differentiate the two? I would call it "fishy", but not call it "stupid". In contrast to what you stated, I would say this brings in more open-minded individuals who have a great ability to think for themselves.

LOL. We may not have shape-shifting reptilians masquerading as world leaders, but our world leaders might as well be shape shifting, flip flopping...ok I'll end the political rant there! :)

Of course. A "Utopia" or utopian society (relating to what it actually is) depends on the individual. But one of these days (maybe even in our lifetime) it would be nice to see world hunger eliminated, for example. I know that sounds lame, "like we are ever going to solve that mess" but consider the quote:
