Mmm, one could classify me as a war memorabilia collector.  A rather pricey hobby.

• Canadian Naval library copy of 'Mein Kampf' - Unsure of the date exactly, but the library ticket mentions due dates of Sept - Nov of 1945

Next time a market comes rolling around, I'll try and drag myself on over there to see if I can get another wonderful deal.

its really fun to get them because just recently a game shop opened near me and its not a PC/xbax/PS3 game store.
and they are really rare where i live + they are all in English so i know they are good :3

@@MeanBlackHawk, it has been two weeks, but I have finally been able to go home and obtain the collection.  By some miracle, I didn't forget.  However, I was not able to take pictures at home, so I brought the binder with me to school.  This brings about a small error, which I will mention when I get to it (since I do not have the entire collection, only the important part of it).  Now prepare yourselves for over-explanation.

 

For those who don't know, these are pictures of my sister and I's collection of the original 151 pokemon monsters in the card game, taken from Base Set 1, Base Set 2, Jungle, and Fossil sets (as well as promo cards for the mew).

 

(note: sorry for the poor quality.  I was forced to use my laptop webcam for picture taking)

 

 

This is the binder.  Since the day that my sister and I decided that we would finish this collection the important cards have never been anywhere else.  That charmandar sticker was probably put there over a decade ago.  By the way, that's my arm trying to hold the binder upright.  Because taking pictures with a laptop is hard.

 

The starters of course.  That blastoise was one of the last three cards we obtained.  There's actually a funny story behind the charizard too.  It literally came from the last booster pack of pokemon cards that my sister and I ever opened.  There's more to it, but I'll spare you the details.

MOAR POKEMANZ!!!  This one includes alakazam, one of my personal favorites.

 

That gengar was a pain to find.  It was actually a friend from high school that located it and was generous enough to donate it.  He was one of the last two.

 

Nothing terribly special here.

 

Alright, this page requires some explanation.  Before taking it yo school, I had forgotten about that bloody electabuzz.  Notice that it is holographic.  Now, you may say, "Wait, the base set 1 electabuzz was never released in holo!!"  And you are entirely correct, it was not.  We got relative confirmation that this card was a fake.  However we do own a legitimate non-holo electabuzz, but it is back at home.  Getting a picture will take a minimum of 2 weeks.  Sorry...  However, that failure is slightly offset by the card directly above it, the Mr. Mime.  This is our only misprinted card because it was accidentally printed without the jungle set symbol (apparently this happened with a fair number of the jungle holos).

 

And here's the final page, complete with both Ancient Mew and another Promo Mew.

Ok let me tell you something.  I normally tl:dr and skim through and not read the long posts, but I can honestly say I stopped and read through post and looked at all the pictures.  That collection is remarkable. Again I have no idea how you pulled it off but it is basically a trophy at this point.  You don't even deserve a medal, you've already got it.

Hmmm..I have a huge book collection, I also collect Tetley tea figurines whenever I go to antique malls (which is a lot) and I have taken over my Mom's stamp collection. My favorite one is the one we got for the 100th anniversary of the Titanic's sinking

Besides pony stuff, I have a pretty substantial coin collection (oldest being a Large Cent from the 1840s, most valuable being several gold coins) and a large book collection, including some rare meteorology books and a handful of 19th century books, two dating back to the 1830s. Historical items, then, would be the main theme of my collecting.

Well, I used to majorly collect Pokemon things, such as the cards, but a HUGE majority of it all got ruined, so I only have a couple cards, and a few random Pokemon things here and there.. Sometimes I obtain Pokemon things, cause I still love it, but not the cards or anything major...It just.. Makes me feel really sad. 

 

I also used to collect bottle caps, which stopped after a while, then Sonic the Hedgehog stuff, then rubber ducks, and then I got into ponies, and slowly collect them nowadays. Y'know, thrift store ones, or the very rare G4 if I have the money. :U  I've always been a little nick-nack collector. I find it keeps me sane. :U

I thought I'd create a thread to see how many of my fellow Bronies and pegasisters collect the same as I. also just a general discussion o what it is we collect and how many of us there is out there Well I'll start xD I collect Warhammer and Warhammer 40,000. my armies are Space Marines, Grey Knights and Imperail Guard tallying over 8500 points maxed out. whereas for my fantasy I collect Skaven tallying over 5000 points legal army and I'm soon to start Dwarfs once I'v finished my Grey Knight army. I also collect Magic the Gathering and even have a card that lets you win the game automatically xD one of the cards I got in my first and only deckbuilders tool kit
