I don't have anything against him as a person, he seems like a nice guy and all. His videos really don't appeal to me though, there's way to much overblown over-reacting and screaming for my tastes, I prefer let's place with kind of a more casual tone, the kind that just feel like the commentator is friends with the whole audience and just wants to share a good time with them.

Honestly, i see alot of people that say that they outright hate him. I don't hate him, seeing as i don't know him personally. From what i've seen, outside of his channel he seems like an okay enough guy. He was in a couple of the Youtubers react, and i thought he seemed like a cool guy there (when he's just casually being himself, and not a screaming manchild.) I genuinely enjoyed his presence there and liked to hear his input on whatever the topic was.

 

However, I DO hate his "rabid" fans, the ones that go to other channels and type malicious comments. They have such a close minded, devoted, sheep like mentality. Mention a single thing wrong with their god, and they'll swarm all over you like angry fire ants. And then there's also those who are simply too fanatical to the point where they just get creepy.
 

As for his actual videos, I did not enjoy them. I tried watching a few of the amnesia videos, and i'll admit i laughed maybe once or twice. But it got old....really fast. The screaming wasn't funny to begin with, its just annoying. My headphones are broken, so every time he screams my left ear dies internally. He used to make a lot of references to rape and sex, which i found disgusting and immature.

 

Style wise, I don't like gameplay videos that lack...substance. For instance, he apparently had started a playthrough of kingdom hearts, one of my favorite games. I don't mind if he tries to be funny once in a while when progress is slow, but he was so preoccupied trying to be funny that he was outright ignoring the game, especially during important cutscenes and moments. I wanted to hear him actually talk about the game, i wanted to hear his thoughts. Instead all i got was stupid fake voices and his stupid attempts at humor. Doesn't matter i guess, cause he just randomly dropped that series without explanation.

 

I don't like how pushy he is about getting people to subscribe. No pewdie, i don't want to be part of your stupid bro army, i'm not ready for a commited subscriber relationship. No means NO, DAMMIT!

 

So yeah, i don't like his channel, personally. And i want to push his obnoxious fans off a cliff I might actually like him if he acted like the same person he is outside the videos.

i really really do respect pewdiepie in my opinion he is the first youtuber that deserves #1 subscribers he can be funny but when he plays a story related games like beyond two souls he makes it more interesting and thats why i respect him. oh and gamerluna check your inbox i thought your pewdiepie signature was a bit stretched so i made you a new one .

I recently watched some of his Stanley Parable play-throughs, and I think he's alright. He gets slightly loud or exaggerated at times, but I'm pretty sure he only does that because some people might find it funny.

 

Other than that, he seems like a pretty decent person.

I used to watch him quite a bit but the humour gets dry and stale fairly quickly. Everything he does and says is so unnecessarily over the top and exaggerated. I can see how that is some peoples sense of humour but my interest in him died a long time ago almost as fast as it began.

I watch him for the comedy now, more or less. He's got that funny touch to where Felix can make something quite hilarious if worded right :3

That and his voice/face contributes to laughter too. Swears I find generally funny sometimes since it never bothered me, but it can either be an added plus or minus to any person who has their own opinion of cussing.

 

Anyways, to sum it up, I do like him a decent bit. Now i'm not one of those bros who generally tend to rage if someone begins hating on him, since MLP's taught me to Love and Tolerate (lol). That and my favorite thing to do is brofist/hoof at the same time :3

I'm entertained by him. In the immortal words of my mother for describing people like him, "He's a nut." I like a few of his reactions to games that I'm familiar with, and I don't think I'd be playing Scribblenauts had I not watched him play the DC Universe one. Because his Cthulhu is FAAAAABULOUS. Otherwise, yeah, his screaming and carrying on can take some time to get used to if it's not something you generally approve of.

 

...also I love his Surgeon Simulator videos for some reason. Because.

A friend told me to check out one of his videos and I hated every second of it so in other words he is the bane of my existence he is literally well in my opinion the worst youtuber there is as of right now but one day someone will be worse but everyone has there own opinions if your a pewdiepie fan good for you but I think he's a pathetic excuse for a commentator.

I'll probably do that and if people hate on me for it so be it. Honestly I've been hated on for a lot of things so I can take it plus if someone decides to leave tons of hate on my comment that would just be time asked for them not for me.

Not much, I watched a few videos of him playing games and it didn't grasp me.

 

But apparently others do.

 

 

The only "complaint" is that he shows up a lot in the recommended section.. but.. considering a lot of us who get recommended usual like video games it isn't much of a surpise..

he's funny from time to time and he's a good person for what he does, but sometimes I feel he gets too much attention for what he does and his fans give him a bad name and end up having people hating the user rather than the fandom

Oh boy, time for my opinion. I find him annoying and obnoxious. Tried watching his videos, had to close the window because of how irritating it was. I honestly don't see what is so appealing about him. The fact that he uses that stupid scarecam gimmick annoys me too. I wish that would just die. It serves no point.

He's awful. He does nothing but SCREAM OBNOXIOUSLY even at the most mundane, non-scary things and YELL ABOUT RAPE BECAUSE IT'S SO FUNNY. He has too many Happy Wheels videos and other various dragged-out things, and his scarecam is dumb. All scarecams are dumb. Nobody wants to see your ugly mug staring blankly at the screen for a half-hour, interspersed with moments of obnoxious hamming for the camera when something "scary" happens. That goes for everyone, even if you're not ugly. You become ugly on a scarecam.

 

 

Plus he looks unclean, the faces he makes in his thumbnails are stupid, and his clingy, obsessive, overly-defensive, cultish fanbase is one of the most awful and disgusting things to ever come out of the internet.

 

I've seen legitimately great videos with less than 500,000 views. I enjoy incredibly entertaining and insightful LPers who sometimes get less than 5,000 views on a video. This inane, screaming, lowest-common-denominator waste gets millions per video, without fail. The existence of himself and Fred are a sad proof that appealing to brainlessness will get you further with people than actual talent.

I don't care for his videos. Out of character he's a decent and respectable enough fellow, so it's nothing personal, but his content is just exhaustingly bad and overhyped beyond belief. I guess if I was a little kid I could maaaybe see the humor in it, but as it stands I just fail to see the big deal behind some nut screaming rape jokes at Happy Wheels day in and day out. I just simply prefer watching LPers who are legitimately entertaining and insightful, and who have a genuine love or passion for the game they're showing off. As opposed to someone just yoinking a popular game and screaming at it to make some quick youtube money.
