I don't fault the guy for making an honest living, it just pisses me the fuck off that mindless screaming is somehow enough to make someone the most subscribed person on Youtube.

 

Epic Meal Time makes giant-ass uber-creative meat dishes on a weekly basis. Only 5.8 million subscribers.

 

Freddie Wong is an SFX/choreography genius who frequently collabs with other Youtubers. Only 6.7 million.

 

Idea Channel and VSauce are philosophers and cultural analysts who make perhaps the most insightful videos I have ever seen. 400k and 5.6 million, respectively.

 

Cr1TiKaL is a witty and sarcastic improv commentator. Funnier than shit! 800k.

 

Sandy Ravage doesn't bother as much with commentaries. He just adds music and lets his unbelievable play style speak for itself. 443k subscribers.

 

EloG is a masterful game reviewer who puts more work into one video than PewDiePie put into his entire career. Only 600 subscribers.

 

And on the brony front, Jan is a career animator whose solo work rivals or beats that which can be done by an entire production company. 150k.

 

But PewDiePie screams at a camera and makes rape jokes. Totally deserving of 16 million subscribers.

I used to be a fairly big fan but now I don't really care too much for him. I don't hate him or anything, I just don't watch him anymore unless it has to do with Stephano or if he's doing co-op with someone like Cry. My mother finds it funny how much he screams but my father wants to punch him in the face, sad, really.

I have never seen any of his videos. But if he's anything like other prominent Youtube celebrities (RayWilliamJohnson, Shane Dawson, Jenna Marbles, Egoraptor and JonTron, TheAmazingAtheist and so on and so forth) I would not like him. Most Youtube celebrities basically ARE Hollywood and television celebrities. They have identical temperament, i.e. superficial, entertainment-obsessed, attention seeking, self-important...perhaps the ones on YouTube are a bit more intelligent and less drug-addled. Those are the only differences. But they're still highly irritating.

I don't watch his videos, but I don't hate him. His style of humor doesn't really appeal to me, but it doesn't bother me that he's so popular because he actually seems like a nice guy when he's a little more calm. Plus the stuff he's done for charity is pretty cool.

Some of his videos are funny, but sometimes it just ruins the flow of everything. His jokes aren't funny, just his reactions.I think his co-op videos with Cry or Ken are funny because well, Ken and Cry are funny.

I've watched a lot of his vids and... it's a big 'no no' from me.

 

Poor jokes, usually having to do with obscene or vulgar stuff; over-reacting purely for the publicity; screams; and obvious lack of ability of connecting facts (it's unimaginable how many times he gets stuck in his 'Let's Play's... finds locked door, picks up a key laying next to them after 5-10 seconds, doesn't know what to do next...)

 

I guess I'll stick with Mark. He's also annoying at times with dumb behavior, but somehow it's not as irritating as Pewds is. And well... he really appreciates his subscribers

I don't like his videos but I don't personally hate him either. He's a pretty cool guy if he isnt behind the camera. His jokes can get old pretty fast though but I do keep in mind that he has his audience and that he tries to appease his audience.

 

Also, that's his job, as far as I know. Hell, if doing what pewdiepie does puts food on my plate and keeps me under a roof, then I'll do it.

 

I remember this quote from someone. But its about music. Just put it in the context of the topic at hand.

 

Some people hate certain genres because they simply do not know how to enjoy it. Its either that or they're just jumping on the hate train.

I find him to be obnoxious and annoying with his screaming and yelling..Not really funny or anything.

 

Also,why are comments disabled on a lot of his videos?  They have a million plus views but comments are disabled.

 

The only "youtube gamers" I follow are Driftor, because  he actually provides real information to help you in a game. Not stupid random screaming and yelling. I also follow Francis because he can be informative sometimes. and AlphaOmegaSin, who also has informative videos...and epic rants.

he was hilarious for the first month or so, but his humour got tired pretty quickly, now i just find him incredibly obnoxious.

On every single YouTube video, there's always comments that say "PEWDIEPIE DID THAT FIRST U HATER BARREL BURN IN HELL YOU LITTLE DOUCHE HAHAHAHA BARRELS." or even a simple "Go die you barrel." when a simple "Why so many bros?" comment is placed on a non-PewDiePie video.

Horribly, horribly annoying. I have nothing against the guy personally, but I'm at a loss for why he's so popular. And his fans. Don't even get me started on his fans. I struggle to think of a more rage-inducing, immature, and unintelligent fanbase (at least, the vocal members of it. If you like Pewdiepie, that's okay. If you're the type that rages and throws a bitchfit whenever someone says they don't like him, that's not).
