Would you like to have a pony pet? If so, which one?

I wouldn't want one of the ponies as a pet, I'd treat them more like a friend living with me due to their similar intelligence. As for the pony, I'd want to say Fluttershy. After she got used to me, it'd be nice to have her around.

I don't think I'd go that far. Having one as a pet is a no-no, but befriending one is cool. If they were my pet, they'd have to adapt to most every rule I personally lay down, and I'm sure that wouldn't like that. But, if we could live together in harmony, that would be ideal.

Yeah, they're too intelligent to be pets. If we go by that then I'd be Twilight's pet! Ha ha, yeah, but if we could by friends then I would say yes in a heartbeat

I have a feeling my stepdads little dog might not like that.. also is it just me or do I always imagine that the ponys would be smaller then actual ponys in real life?

Still I'd proably treat them more like a friend in a way, but I'd love to have a fluttershy to cuddle with . I'm not meaning to sound like a freak. I just want to cuddle with her . Hug her when I feel sad. Even if she couldn't talk back.

Even keeping her from being discovered would be easy as she's bound to have some kind of illusory magic that could keep her existence or identity a secret. My only concern would be providing her with an appropriate bathroom. I don't know what she would need but I get the feeling that ordinary toilets won't get the job done. Going in the yard probably wouldn't be the best of ideas either.

I have to admit, that idea has always been at the back of mind simply cause shows never touch on subjects like that. Although MLP actually did once in the episode where Pinkie Pie has to use the outhouse Applejack comes out of. But we never see what the toilet looks like on the inside....

As to what Vicke said, the attention would be massive, which would probably lead to unfortunate happenings.

 

Plus, raising a pony wouldn't be the best thing currently. Considering I have school, to which it would be left alone 7 hours a day, 5 days a week. Plus, I'm kinda lazy, but idk, if something was cute and kind enough, I might be able to rip out my laziness's jugular vein.

 

A talking filly fluttershy would be the ideal organism to do just that. But for now, I guess not, due to all the attention and the lack of interaction due to school (and later in life work).

See, I'm usually the guy who's all about over-analyzing, but I really don't see the point in a quarter to a half of the posts in this thread being about 'Well their sentient blah blah blah that'd be weird blah blah'. We know I know I at least take topics like this with a grain of salt, and answer it purely from a 'which pony would you like to live with you, be an object of cuddles, play time and companionship', similar to what we have as pets. If people would prefer to call this roommate, or would like to alter their definition of it, then go for it. I just find the same point being brought up over and over again, oh so redundant.

 

Dashie, as I'm sure I've said somewhere before. She's IMO the cutest and most huggable, she likes to take naps a lot so watching TV or chilling with her would be cool, and then at the same time, her athleticism would be motivation for me to get my ass outside more often :3

If I lived in a rural area in Wyoming, then I don't see why not.  As Vicke said the attention would be too much, and bad things would happen.  I would want the pony to talk.  It wouldn't be a pet it would be a friend.
