I agree! I see her as a huge fan of harlequin romance novels and such; probably the type of books she'd have to keep out of view when Sweetie Belle visits.

i start to love rarity more and more day by day im not sure how or why but everyday i have to listen to this song i think its the her singing voice that makes me love her more and more.

I will also now announce the PONY FAN CLUB BANNER CONTEST!

 

This contest is simple, but as this is the first one I am limiting it to the Mane 6 clubs. Basically members of each fan club will have to work as a team to make a club banner. This must be a group effort, and the club has to decide the banner they submit to me. Whichever club wins gets a 'Award' in a Trophy Case Spoiler that I will also instal into each forum.

 

The Rules

-Each banner may only include the pony that it is representing.

-This is a team effort, try your hardest on this!

-Keep it apropriate

-Creativness/Animation will be awarded more points!

-Have Fun!

-Banners must be submitted to me via PM by whoever creates the final product by Saturday, then I will announce the results Sunday.

 

Now, to more solem news. I would like to thank everypony for giving me well wishes on my brothers untimly death. It was unfortunate, and it still hurts, but I cannot leave my ponies hangin.

I don't know what's taken me so long to comment on this thread. Anyway, Rarity used to be my least favorite pony because one of the first clips I saw of her was from her infamous whining scene. I thought see was like that all the time, whiny and obsessed with her own looks, but after watching for a while longer, I came to see here generous side, fell in love with her cuteness, and laugh at what a ham she can be. In short, I love this little white pony/marshmellow( ).

I have no idea where it specifically came from. I would assume its because of her off-white colour and her soft huggbleableness

What the heck, I'll post my analysis of Rarity too. And then go on to post every analysis. (Except perhaps the one for Rainbow Dash, because I feel like that analysis was a piece of crap.) As with the one I posted in the Twilight Sparkle thread, this analysis was written originally for another forum...if I remember correctly it was written during the break between Hearth's Warming Eve and Family Appreciation Day.

 

I saw a comic once, each of the character's responses to a half glass of water, and it titled Rarity's "OCD precision" - or something along those lines.

 

It was meant as a joke, but ever since then, it's really made sense to me that she's OCD. I mean, look at how she gets in bed on Season 1 Ep.8! We've established she's smart, hates mud and dirt, loves order and designs. It all makes sense, at least to me.

 

I mean, she has a specific routine for getting in bed that involves not creating any wrinkles!

It was meant as a joke, but ever since then, it's really made sense to me that she's OCD. I mean, look at how she gets in bed on Season 1 Ep.8! We've established she's smart, hates mud and dirt, loves order and designs. It all makes sense, at least to me.

 

I mean, she has a specific routine for getting in bed that involves not creating any wrinkles!

 

If she does have a certain amount of OCD in regards to certain things, it would go along with her crafted persona. This is what she thinks a regal pony like her should act like in these circumstances, therefore she does it.

 

I wouldn't really call it authentic OCD though, at least not in the same manner as Twilight's is. It's more a desire for neatness and organization, which doesn't necessarily require her to be compulsively obsessed with it.
