Trixie is literally perfect and there is no way I could think of changing her besides her mane and eyelashes. Best pony. 

If you were to imagine Trixie in the Dancerverse, just imagine regular Trixie, but crank her narcissism up to 11, and sprinkle in just a little bit of ambition. 


In the Dancerverse, Trixie is the former student of Hero-Queen/Princess Flurry Heart. She took immense pride in the fact that the Flurry Heart chose her to be her protege, to the point where she'd flaunt her privilege whenever she could (though the latter lasted briefly, near the end of Trixie's time with Flurry Heart). Trixie believed herself to be the only equal to Flurry Heart in power, and that it was only just that she would be ascended into alicorn status, like her teacher. Obviously, Flurry denies her, leading Trixie on a self-imposed path to prove her wrong. Eventually, her path leads her into the human world. 

I'm not so sure about the Dancerverse in Equestria Girls. On one hand, I like the cliched highschool setting, on the other I don't like how the Princesses are represented as Principles. One idea I've had for a while is that Flurry Heart is the freakin' President and just so happens to spend a lot of time near this unrealistically well-funded School. Would make it even weirder for her and Cadence to go on a camping trip with the School, though.

    Anywho! Equestria Girls starts off like it does in the main universe, Trixie steals Moondancer's piece of the Crystal Heart and flees into the human world, where the rules of magic are not yet shaped, and she is allowed to use this powerful artefact bound to somebody else. Dipper and Moondancer are in pursuit, while the others just sit back and wait, or something. HIGHSCHOOL SHENANIGANS OCCUR until the climax, where Trixie finally gets her hands back on Moondancer's Crystal Heart piece, reshaping it into what basically equates to the Alicorn Amulet. She attempts to transform herself into an alicorn, briefly turning into the human version of the picture above, but then quickly deforms into a raging she-demon, attacking Moondancer and her new human posse. Instinctively the new group rushes to protect their pretty pony Princess, and through the power of Friendship, Moondancer realises that the rules of magic have yet to be set in the human world, and proceeds to rewrite the magic Trixie fired at her. Magical girl power up ensues, Demon Lullamoon is smote, Moondancer returns home with her Crystal Heart piece, and a very loose rule is set in the human world: Friendship is Magic. 

    Jump to the Dancerverse equivalent of Rainbow Rocks, where Trixie is giving a good attempt at reforming, while also trying to regain her former confidence. The main girls are apprehensive around her, but support her endeavours. After their run-in with a magical pony princess, the girls find that they all have their own pieces of the Crystal Heart, with the exception that their pieces aren't physical like Moondancer's was. Cue the Windigoes, the original three spirits that forced Queen Cadence to use up all of her power in the Fire of Friendship to banish them into an alternate reality, later on triggering her transformation into Mournful Frost, and subsequently starting the chain of events that was the Dark Ages for Equestria. Putting the pieces together nigh-instantly Trixie and co. rush to call Moondancer for backup, and attempt to friendship-laser the fudge out of the the new girls. It fails, putting Moondancer in a twist and getting a good laugh out of the new trio. Being in such close proximity to two Equestrians and five magically-enhanced humans, and apparently being friendly enough with her sisters, the leader of the Windigoes is able to state a second rule of magic in the human world: Music bends Magic.

Thus the Battle of the Bands begins, culminating in the Heartstrings versus the... Special Snowflakes? In between, the main girls share their insecurities and the like, namely Trixie and Moondancer. The Princess admits that she could've written a less vague rule for magic to follow, and Lullamoon expressing her doubts. The Heartstrings lose against ancient spirits, but bolster up for a second round, this time with Trixie as their seventh ranger. Through song and dance, Moondancer unites her piece of the Crystal Heart with the others', Trixie manages to call the Fire of Friendship created by Queen Cadence, and reunites it with Moondancer's Crystal Heart, unleashing the full power of the Alicorn Queen. The Windigoes are stripped of their power, Trixie now has her own unique source of magic, and now everybody finally trusts her. 

    Friendship Games is, for the most part, the same as it is in the main universe. Except for the end, where instead of Moondancer getting peer-pressured into unleashing the magic by Principal (President?) Chrysalis and the school, she frustratingly releases it against an equally irritated Trixie. Think that one scene where Sunset Shimmer snapped at Sci-Twi after the motocross incident, but with two nerds fighting over the ethics of magical usage. Moondancer's transformation into Midnight-Dancer is actually a lot like Trixie's. She sprouts an ethereal set of wings and a horn, even a floating crown, and she stays that way for a while before she powers up and gains their solid versions. The girls and Trixie have a chilling realisation, could this be the result of a rule of magic that was written without them knowing? But enough of that, Trixie instantly feels the need to out-do Moondancer while simultaneously showing her the error of her ways: after all, she didn't stop being a narcissistic, she just watered it down. It's a re-do of the ending of the first movie, but this time Trixie succeeds in transforming herself into an alicorn, and goes even further beyond and transforms into Daydream Lullamoon. It's a magical girl fight to the tenth degree, and even more evil smiting happens. Sci-Dancer and Trixie apologise and become friends, and the former transfers to Crystal High (from Midnight Prep Academy?). 

TLDR: 
Trixie is cool and there are two Rules of Magic, and maybe a third: 
-Friendship is Magic 
-Music bends Magic
-Loneliness plus magic equals corruption?
