But seriously. Rainbow Is best pony because she's the one that (I believe) loves herself the most out of the rest. All the others have insecurities that kinda makes them standoffish in whatever they want to do and accomplish. She's never stood in her own way like some of the others have.

 

Twilight has doubts about her abilities as Princess and the duties that go along with the title. Even thou Celestia has told her countless times that she has the utmost trust in her and her choices as ruler. She still fears herself and over thinks everything. That's where her friends come in to bring her head back to Ponyville.

 

Pinkie has to have friends around her all the time or else boredom will ensue. And then she can't be happy from makin' others happy. She might have more to her then that. I'm not too sure how to take her in the first right. She's just too spontaneous to pin. XD. Maybe she's just too depressed. And the only way to stifle her own depression and dark thoughts is to make others happy. And in turn, will keep her happy. Perhaps, it keeps the horrible thoughts of the rock farm from reminding her of past evils.

 

Fluttershy has her issues with crowds and large venues. But she knows what she likes. Singin', animals, hangin' out with others. But her excessive lack of courage, holds her back from living as she sees herself doing. Yes! She's gettin' better. But she's not there yet. And with how shy she really is. I see her takin' a lifetime to get better or at all over her fears.

 

Applejack is just like Rainbow Dash in so many ways. They're competitive too no end with each other. Iron pony was the start of their rivaliry. Fun and lighthearted as it is. It just showcases how much they're tied to each other with their strengths. In my mind, they're the same pony. Just different in their apperaneces. And some of their attitudes towards daily livin'. Rainbow likes to take it easy on her duties. Granted, she can complete them in a very nicely done timely manner. However, Applejack likes to get things done as soon as they come to light. But even with that difference, they still work hard on what's important to them. It's just how they use their time gettin' to the same conclusion.

 

Rarity! Rarity is still a mystery to me. She's outgoin' and a drama queen. But when it comes to her as a whole. I can only speculate. As far as I've seen, She's a fantastic dress designer. And a really hard worker. Also a extremely generous soul. She loves givin' to her friends in the manner of friendship and clothes. But I've not seen her go anywhere in the series yet. She's not really done much to accentuate her dreams or her livin' desires. She says it occasionally. But outside of those rare mentions. Nothin' has really pushed her forward in the series.

 

So that's why I said that Rainbow Dash has her life in her hoofs and is the best out of the rest with what direction they're travelin' and/or how fast they're goin' to achieve their goals.

 

I'm guessin' that the reason she wants the best for her friends at this point is because she's already figured out where she's goin' and want's to make sure her friends get's the same out of life.

 

Hence, Loyalty.

Because of Pinkie having the need to make others happy she is able to to keep her jokes to a limit depending on pony. for example when  Pinkie and rainbow dash are doing pranks on other pony's around ponyvill she stops her self and rainbow dash from getting water on fluttershy. Pinkie knew that fluttershy would be upset. if it was not of that rainbow dash would have done that.

@@My Rainbow Dashie: It's cool that you took the time to write out that ample and thorough post detailing Rainbow's awesomeness.

 

The prize of the Wonderbolts will always be what her eyes are always goin' to be stairin' at. 

I'd only like to add that, despite joining the Wonderbolts being her longstanding dream, she's outshone them on several occasions and demonstrated integrity and discretion even when it seemingly hindered that dream or put her at odds with her own heroes.  Though she's always been dynamic, confident, and magnetic, she's grown throughout the series and proved to be more complex than she might have appeared at first blush.

Thank you Ziggy Belongs To RD. I forgot about her and the Wonderbolts. And how she put her friends first instead of throwin' them to the curb when she was offered the position of a wing pony. And fly with them in the Wonderbolts Academy episode. I'd like to think that everypony out in OUR world would do the same as she did. But in all reality, who would? Except for the people that have everything in life and aren't worried about loosin' anything. Work or life related. Friends are the utmost important items to cherish in life. But some take them for granted and expect the words of "sorry" and "Please forgive" to help them save face. But sometimes you have too show more then just an apology. You need too show them that they mean more to you then just a collectible toy that you can pull out and show around. But in a RL settin'. If you're lookin' at a high payin' positional job. Which would you choose? Friends? Or monetary gain and financial freedom? THAT's a tough choice on a good day. If you have decent enough friends. They should be able too let you go for a spell and get your life in check. And not make you choose over one or the other. Without worrin' about loosin' them in the process. However, some friends throw your loyalty into the argument. And keep holdin' you back. Just for their own pursuits and personal greed. Maybe even for them to say that they have friends that will choose them instead of takin' care of themselves first. It's all about the water cooler and not about friendship at all. It's almost like the devil tryin' to collect souls. You're their hostage and mindslave. They can tell their other (real) friends that they have you under their control. Their just not as dramatic as the Devil comin' up to get you.

 

I've always tried to be a wonderful friend to others. But with (I'll go so far as sayin' "decent") friends comin' into my life. And not really showin' me that I mean anything to them. I've become a little hard around the heart. And a little more untrustin' or others. I need more then just an occasional visit. Or someone to say that we're friends to others. I need personal proof of what I mean to them.

 

I'm slowly loosin' the wrong and pickin' up the right friends. However hard it is. I'm still hopeful that I can pick up tidbits of unknown or non-thought-of ways to get fantastic life long friends that I've never thought of before from the show.

 

Sorry. Got off topic for a spell.

 

When Rainbow Dash first came on in the first few episodes. She was into herself and not really carin' about friends. She was folowin' her own pursuits. Just like Twilight. But like you said. She's gettin' better and startin' to think of others instead of just herself. Rainbow has demonstrated this over and over again in every episode. She's lettin' friends into her heart instead of keepin' them at bay. You make and keep friends. Of course. But there's more too a friend then just their name and a word in the dictionary describing what they are to you. A friend will give unselfishly to another without a moments hesitation. And with that said. You take what they'll give you in return. Not just what everypony thinks about when that comes up in discussions. Money. But much more then that. Love, kindness, trust, loyalty, carin', support, compassion, understandin' and a forgiving heart. Everypony does something to upset the other party members at times. That's a give in. However, It's all about how much they mean to you and reversed to see if y'all can forgive and forget the other and then move on. Everypony in the show has done something stupid or said something ill tempered. Testin' their friendships. But like a true body of friends, they talk to one another and come to the same conclusion in the end. Friendship is more important then frivolous hardships and unwarranted strife to the other. They all know one another's critiques now. And understand what makes the others tick and upset. It' takes time to learn. The other won't just tell you everything that makes them sad. Most of the time, they don't even know what does till it comes up in life. Like us as humans, they're still learnin' about themselves. And they won't know the full details till their deaths. It's a life long learnin' session. And if you, I, or them are thinking that we are out of school over this topic. Then surprise. We're never goin' to graduate from this class. It's just another one of our life long teachin's. Some of sociable standin's and others from a personal standin's.

My birthday's still like a week away, but I went ahead and baked the RD cutie cake(s) I was planning on making:

 

I cut the cloud piece out of a white cake, and I cut the lightning bolt piece from a yellow cake; I used templates I made out of poster board for both.  Then I assembled both pieces, frosted the thing, and topped it with specifically colored jellybeans. xD  There's a lot of darn cake leftover; we sent the white cake scraps to our neighbors.

 

At least we've enough for an impromptu cake fight.

I'm learning that any detractors (I mean the outright "haters," not simply those who favor another pony or what not) in the fandom are simply suffering from Rainbow Jellyitis.  Fortunately, there IS a cure!

 

And any who claim they wouldn't be friends with Dashie...  Are clearly kidding themselves.  I know full well that, were that vibrant, winged mare to bust out a dazzling Rainboom overhead before lighting with expert and unrivaled grace in front of both Brony and non-Brony alike, the first word out of their mouth would surely be:

 

"GuhhhwwuuuhhoooaeediiiiyooouuuuWOOoooiiiow!"

 

Which isn't an actual word.  Because they'd be sooo impressed and dumbfounded that their tongue would fail them.  Then, after a few minutes of Dashie waving a hoof in front of their face, they'd somehow manage to ask for an autograph and buzz around her like a fascinated, big-eyed satellite.
