But honestly I like all the mane 6, so i don't really know how much of a difference this whole thing makes to me to be honest xD.

It is more about bragging rights than anything else and I like all the mane 6 too but some a bit more than others and even though this dosen't technically mean anything it is still a lot of fun.

 

With that said ahem, Twilight fans you are failing your exam miserably come on you guys should know that Rainbow Dash is like Applejack on steroids she is popular and has fans that from the looks of things are just as dedicated as the Applejack fans and I as a longtime Applejack fan know.

Come on Twilight Sparkle fans! Bust a move! I don't want to see Twilight get hammered by Dash after she beat Applejack. That just... doesn't make Applejack look good at all.

 

But those Dash fans know just how to corral other Dash fans and make a huge impact. This isn't even a close battle. And EQD has proven on multiple polls that Twilight can beat any other pony not named Luna, so let's go Twilight fans! Make this interesting at least!

Remember all the Derpy fans who decided to root for Applejack after she defeated her? And for Twlight after she defeated AJ? And for RD...

I think I've made my point. Derpy might have led a fabulous battle in the third round, I don't think the road ahead would have made it any easier for her.

Oh I mentioned in an earlier post that I love both of them, and really didn't want to have to choose between them, so I really needed some reason to vote against Twilight, and bitterness was really all I had.  I hate choosing between the Mane 6 and always try to maintain equal love for all of them; if AJ had ended up in this round, I would've voted for her largely because she would've been an underdog.  So yeah, my bitterness only applies to this particular tournament, and due to my love of all of the Mane 6, honestly is the only reason I could come up with for voting against Twi; still love 'em all just the same as before.

This was a really difficult choice for me. I like all the mane 6. People would ask me who is best pony and I'll say I really don't know. I like applejack, rainbow, fluttershy, and Twilight. I really don't know what this is exactly, but I did vote for Rainbow dash only because of Double Rainboom coming out.

Aaaand Twilight fans are failing to show up. Tails, you are devious for sending your entire legion on here overnight and giving Dash a huge lead when I was sleeping.

Rainbow's awesomeness was not yet showing through in the numbers. Drastic action had to be taken. You understand.

 

Plus she's my only favorite remaining in the poll, although I have a soft spot for Pinkie Pie as well.

Wow, I didn't know it would turn out like this. Like I said before..... this was a really hard decision for me. Because I love Twilight Sparkle/Fluttershy AND Rainbow Dash and they have been tied for favorite pony for weeks now. In the end I had to go with the pony who was my favorite for the longest followed by a coin flip.

Nice!    I had forgotten that you said the semifinals and finals would last two days each.  It was strange to log on just now and see the Twilight-Rainbow Dash battle still raging.  Oh well, I have to wait until tomorrow for Pinkie Pie vs. Discord.  That's fine as these high rounds go very quickly.

I wonder: just how effective a tactic is posting pictures of a pony you want others to help you in supporting? I mean, unless one really is 100% 50/50 in a particular match (See what I did there?), I don't think any fan of any pony is suddenly going to look at a picture and go "Oh, how foolish I was not to see how wonderful a pony Y is! X cannot compete with that picture! I shall change my mind at once!"

 

Has it happened to anyone? And if so, how common is it?

I think it's really more for fun and one-up-man-ship than anything serious. Of course, maybe everyone else is TOTALLY HARDCORE about posting pictures and I'm the only one fooling around, but I rest my case.
