They actually said that? It sure would explain why Luna hasn't made very many appearance since Luna Eclipsed even though is just as important as Celestia. I haven't really heard of any effort to remove her completely though, but it thankfully seems very unlikely.

I'm sure I heard it somewhere a long time ago, but I just Googled it and the closest I could find was a joke EqD article about Luna not being pink enough. That wasn't about her scaring kiddies though, which I'm sure was the reason, but I can't seem to find anything... Grrr... Either the source is very elusive or I badly misread something long ago (possibly a forum post).

 

You're right though, it does seem unlikely - I mean, she's in the intro now and some of the NM imagery in season 4 was probably some of the scariest stuff the show has ever done.

 

So, in reference to myself, I believe the technical, scientific term is 'plonker'.

I could sort of see it given the whole Royal Canterlot Voice and transforming into Nightmare Moon thing. In any case, as I said in my reply to EarthBendingProdigy, it was probably a misunderstanding of something I read a long time ago.

 

Also, for the record, I agree that Luna is very wuvable.

Being a DAddict, I stumbled upon this tonight. Had to share it in the official fanclub thread.

 

While we all know, canonically, that Luna aims to allow her subjects to overcome their fears on their own, as she did in guiding Scootaloo to realize her true fear and confront it, I don't think any true Luna fan will disagree that the aspect of Luna the True Dream Warrior is nothing short of the most kick-ass concept ever forged, and that Sleepless in Ponyville's establishment of her dream-escapades is the greatest addition to Luna's character seen so far, and that the prospect of Luna never ever using her god-like control over dreams to vanquish the worst of nightmares every now and again, would be a terrible waste of potential

She's obviously the best princess in the entire Canterlot Royal Family. No disrespect to the other princesses but she's obviously the top favorite of the quartet right now.

 

A troubled and complex past, uncertainty about the new Equestria similar to us humans, and ultra cute; this is what makes Lulu possibly, if not, the best character in the entire show.

I hope we get more Luna episodes soon. Or, at least, some appearances and speaking roles. 

 

Luna may have had scary parts in most of her episodes (when she was NMM, when she was talking too loud, and-most recently-when she was turning into NMM) but she's really just a big softie Like, her thing is coming into everyone's dreams and comforting them. Like, what is more badass than that? Huh? No suggestions? Thought so. She's such a lovable character and I want to see more development of Luna. 

 

 

Of course, you know what Luna has that everyone else doesn't? 

 

Her mane. 

 

Whoever decided that in Luna Eclipsed she her mane should look like the night sky, give that person a promotion! The night sky is such a beautiful thing and I've always been fascinated by it. Naturally, her mane just hypnotizes me

 

Also, I've always been in love with the color blue.

 

Anyway, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to bed now
