The ultimate 'tfw no qt gf' song. I think we can all relate in some way or another.

She didn't know that I'd be hanging around
So one day she took a stroll to town
And walked in front of a Greyhound bound
For New York central staaaaaaaaaaaate!!!

HNNNNNNNNNNNG

I find myself feeling along to Sigur Ros from time to time.

Not only that, but this piece from Philip Glass as well. Such a beautiful soprano voice on this.

A lot of genres make me feel (IF YOU GET MY SAYING), but the ones that make me feel the most are Post-Dubstep and Liquid DnB

Post-Dubstep

Liquid DnB

OST tracks from games such as Oblivion make me feel as well

EDIT: I have posted in this thread already? Really?

Melodies resonate more emotion with me than lyrics do (in general; some songs with astonishingly great lyrics also "make me feel" :P).

  • 3 weeks later...

I have two songs from Coldplay that always make me feel. They are both so beautiful and it's a real shame there not as popular. First off is the more feel-creating one.

Christmas Lights.

This song is just so beautiful and the lyrics always make me cry. They are beautiful. I just can't really explain them. Just listen to them yourself.

Second one; Gravity.

This song is also quite pretty and I love the piano in it. But what stands out is the vocals. Chris Martin does a great job singing this and it always makes me feel. And the instrumentals are gorgeous; perfectly accompanying the vocals.

I think I would have died a long time ago if I hadn't found music.

It hurts every time I hear this song, but in a good way, hard to explain. This song is what feels are made of.

So many feels.

I would definitely have to go with Landslide by Fleetwood Mac.Especially the Backbeats version of it

I know this is cliche but I also am still moved by John Lennon's Imagine

Welcome to the NHK has one of the best OST's in anime. This song makes me feel hard, and if you've seen the series, you will feel even harder.

Call me a puss, but I find this particular song from Minecraft to be particularly beautiful. I just sounds so... Young and innocent, I don't really know how to explain it.

Also, Skyrim's OST was a bit under-appreciated, I think. The game itself was over-appreciated, though... This track here was my favorite.

Non-video game feels:

(Bleed - deadmau5)

(Eminence - Falling Stars)

(Rundfunk - A Dream)

(Ghost Hardware - Burial)

They are both so beautiful and sad at the same time.

  • 1 month later...

The songs that impact me emotionally the most are My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic songs and BGM. There is something special about those songs that just moves me deeply.

But, there most certainly are many other songs not related to MLP that have a strong emotional impact upon me as well. Here are some examples. This is by no means an all inclusive list, but these are songs off the top of my head that I know to have had a strong emotional impact upon me in the past.

Song of Myself by Nightwish:

Celestial Spheres by Obscura:

Ocean Gateways by Obscura:

Mourning Tree by Leaves' Eyes:

Incarnated by Obscura:

Toccata and Fugue in D Minor by Johann Sebastian Bach:

Hey Ya...Obadiah Parker. Scrubs showed me that song and it is very beautiful in my opinion.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ejeEBlDESc

Hallelujah....Jeff Buckley. Very depressing and emotional.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WIF4_Sm-rgQ

Brendan's Death Song...Red Hot Chili Peppers. There are many emotional songs by that band but this is the song that I listen the most lately.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uxJncigqdGk

Disenchanted...My Chemical Romance. I loved the Black Parade and also Three Cheers and it was a pretty hard decision to choose a song of these Albums. Early Sunsets over Monroeville would probably be close second when it comes to feels for me

I LOVED the Fullmetal Alchemist series so freaking much, it's one of my favorite animes. It also has good opening songs, like this one. I don't know why but this song almost makes me sad. It makes me thing of all of the good things in my life, so it makes me happy also. It's weird.

Wake Me Up When September Ends - Green Day

Vanilla Twilight - Owl City

Both of these songs really give me the feels since they were both after the two artists' girlfriends died.

Here's a sad song from my favorite folk artist of all time (and a true Canadian hero), Stan Rogers. The song is about an old fisherman who watched as a young man fell overboard and drowned during a storm. The chorus always gets to me.

But I told that kid a hundred times "Don't take the Lakes for granted.
They go from calm to a hundred knots so fast they seem enchanted."
But tonight some red-eyed Wiarton girl lies staring at the wall,
And her lover's gone into a white squall.

Well, let's put this simply as I can:

Almost anything by Coldplay, Almost anything by The Fray, Almost anything by Owl City, and a few other random songs...

So yeah, it's much easier to just say that then name off all of them.

lyrics

Loving, over and over again now
It ain't nothing girl, till you've felt the pain
Up against the wall, why does love always have to hurt
Your scratches run across my back and then a tear

Chorus:
Dear Lover, I can't take the pain no more
Dear Lover, I pick my heart up from the floor
Dear Lover, I can't believe its come to this
Dear Lover, give me one last painful kiss

There ain't nothin', in this world for free now
So how high of a price will you pay
Hear the screams so loud, wake up to the broken glass
It's a scene from bad to worse, and many more tears

This whole entire album has a very dark and angry theme to it. Like the feeling you have after a heartbreak or when someone has broken your trust. The anger you have built in the lost of trust and trying to get by day to day enduring the pain. This song captures that emotion and anger. We all have times where I hearts have been played with and you hurt for a while due to someone else's selfishness.

Songs, huh? ... It it had been just musics, I'd have quite a few ones on my mind.

I don't have that many songs that make me feel on my mind right now and not in particular order so I'll be a bit random here.

Anyone who has seen classic Garfield specials should know this particular scene.
So Long Old Friend

http://youtu.be/bag48VyrOpI

The song that plays here is just so... heartbreaking. I can't remember the last time I DIDN'T actually start crying during this. The song is short, but very sad one.

Another one that makes me feels would be...
Sailor Moon OST - Moon Revenge

http://youtu.be/S-w64_6Udgw

I think movies and cartoons have the best musics and songs ever. Much more feel is usually put to them than to normal ones. Animes are no exception. This particular song is great and the scene where it plays is full of emotion that make sing song sound even greater.

Also, as the newest song that made me feel...

Children of the Night

Civil Twilight is my go-to for music to listen to when I'm upset. They're not uplifting, but they're powerful enough to make my mind wander and eventually turn sadness into inspiration. This song makes me feel the most determined to bounce back.

Also, I've heard the original version of this song by Nirvana, but I think this one packs a lot more emotional punch.

Everytime I hear Melanie Safka's Ruby Tuesday I turn into a complete blubber ball, anybody with a heart probably does get feels from that one though.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:

Scrumpy is cider made in the West Country of England,[1] particularly a band through Devon, Somerset, Gloucestershire and Herefordshire, though it may also be found in Kent, Sussex and East Anglia. The term is especially used to distinguish those made locally in smaller quantities and using traditional methods from mass-produced branded ciders.

Wait, seriously? I never knew that about those two songs... (And yet they're two of my favorite songs of all time)

If anything I expected Lonely Lullaby by Owl City to be a song after his girlfriend died though...
