100th episode in the fifth season?

Depending on how good season four does in the ratings, (*Coughs* Unlike Futurama's ratings, which lead to its downfall, man I love that show.) we mightn't even see a season 5.

 

But there's LOTS AND LOTS of Bronies so that's unlikely to happen. So, no real chance of it being canceled. 

 

 

So what do you think the 100th episode would be like? An epic episode or just a 'normal' episode?

 

 

I just hope it doesn't end up like the Simpsons. That show is a perfect example of being on the air for way too long.

Eh, I really don't think it'll be that special, just a normal episode really, it'll be a milestone, but it won't probably affect the episode.

 

I can't say the 100 episode of any show I've ever watched has been that special really, but I have a sketchy memory for episode numbers of stuff I watch anyways xD. 

 

Idk I just can't see them doing a whole lot different, just making good episodes like they always do. Maybe I'll be surprised though.

As long as we give them the ratings by watching the show by official means. I ended up watching all of the episodes off of youtube, I feel pretty bad about that now.

I think maybe something that will change the show will happen, but I highly doubt it.  TV shows will rarely do anything special for the 100th.  It'll be a great achievement, but other then that.

They might probably make an 100th episode but, as long it doesn't go the Simpsons route which I know it won't. Besides, the fans will be happy to see an 100th episode.

TV tends to worry about *seasonal* anniversaries rather than *episodic* anniversaries. So we're more likely to see something special in Season 5, because of the 5th anniversary rather than the 100th episode. Although they might put both together just for the sake of doing something special at all. DHX seems to be that kind of studio.

Yep. Like say, "One Hundred ..." In a line within the context of the shows plot followed by a 4th wall wink or look.

M.A. Larson already confirmed that season 5 is in production.  They started recording voice acting for the first few episodes.

Most shows have something kinda big happen for their big 1-0-0 (especially since most shows don't last that long), but in MLP's case it'll be something medium sized. Though Celestia knows they have what it takes to pulls it off without trying too hard (Shout outs! Cameos! Flashbacks! DITZY TALKING!!!)

I think that they will probably focus on octavia, DJ-Pon3,  derpy and dr. whooves since i think those three are the most favoured background ponies by the bronies, also maybe lyra and bonbon too (although i hate the lyra and bonbon shippings) although what you said about the cello-dubstep mishap will probably get lots of focus.
