South Park

The Simpsons

Those would be my top two favorites. Those ones are the only adult cartoons that I have seen that actually made me laugh. Family Guy is meh, and I haven't really watched any others that are worth mentioning. I have yet to watch a full episode of Futurama though.

Hmm. Ren and Stimpy before it got tuned down for kiddies. Family guy is also good but not quite as delightfully blunt as Ren and Stimpy were.

My favorites probably have to be Futurama and American Dad. I like the humor and the plots are interesting and easy to get into.  Family guy is ok, but I absolutely LOATHE the boondocks with a burning passion.

The Simpsons is my all time favorite, because its so cleverly written, the characters are ones you come to really care about, I love how it lets the humor flow into it, and doesn't just shove random shit in your face and expect you to laugh at every last drop of toilet humor, which it does have a bit of, but just a bit and that is what makes The Simpsons great.

Second all time favorite is South Park, because though it does have a lot of toilet humor, it can actually be a pretty smart show!!! I love how it simply refuses to show any celebrial mercy(if thats even a word). Its humor is so random too, I mean, one minute you're celebrating Easter, next you uncover a secret organization of hare dressed men sworn to protect true prophet Easter bunny. I love the way it's plot has this very layered one minute evrythangs ok, next your sucked in on this great adventure.

So yeah, those are my all time favorite adult cartoons.

Does Robot Chicken count, due to it being stop-motion? Sometimes I get lost in all the categorization and subcategorization of entertainment.

  • 1 year later...

My favorite adult cartoons are:

- South Park

- Beavis and Butthead

- Bob's Burgers

All my life needed was a sense of someplace to go. I don't believe that one should devote his life to morbid self-attention. I believe that someone should become a person like other people.

I can't be the only one who remembers Home Movies, right? Because that was seriously one of the best adult cartoons ever!

You gotta love Coach McGuirk. I used to quote this show so much back in the day. XD

Aside from that I really love Futurama and Bob's Burgers! Ironically Bob is voiced by the same man who played McGurik, H. Jon Benjamin. Boondocks is also a really great show! I'll pretty much watch whatever is on and catches my interest. The Simpsons, King of the Hill, Family Guy, etc...I've watched them all. But Home Movies, Futurama and Bob's Burgers are my favorites.

Beavis & Butthead all the way. That's the funniest cartoon ever created in all history.

OK, I'm going to go old school here, but it was a little show by MTV called Celebrity Deathmatch (Yes, claymation counts as a cartoon).

I am going to take a look at some of the frequent ones I see on here

Family Guy
While it was pretty good at first, I agree with the fact it has gone downhill. Most of the episodes seem to be there just to piss people off. A classic example of that is Not All Dogs Go To Heaven (in which somepony should make a CinemaSins type video like that, but that's just me), in which Brian's reasons for atheism aren't that good. At all

Boondocks
I honestly haven't seen much of it, but, from what I have seen, it's ok, I guess.

The Simpsons
I love the Simpsons. If I'm ever Goodwill or some place like that, and I see a thing relating to the Simpsons, whether DVD, VHS tape, shirt, board game, or something else, you know I'll probably buy it.

South Park
Like the Simpsons, I really enjoy it. Though, I wouldn't buy every piece of merchandise related to it.

Futurama
Basically, same as South Park

Robot Chicken

I do enjoy this show, alot. Thank god it's on Hulu now.

Now that I have got those out of the way, I shall give you my top 5.

Number 5
American Dad
This show, as many on this have said, is eons better than Family Guy. I like this show mainly because Stan actually seems like he really cares for his kids, unlike Peter. And while, yes, he is very strict and a bit mean at times, I still find him, and all the characters, actual characters.

Number 4

Robot Chicken
I really enjoy parody when done right, like Weird Al Yankovic, hell, he's even been on the show. What I like about Robot Chicken is that it doesn't resort to just tacky one-liners or meaningless nothings. Though it does have alot of sex jokes which usually turn me off of a program, this one actually does them well.

Number 3

South Park

Not much to say that hasn't already been said. So, screw you guys, I'm going home.

Number 2
The Simpsons

So what it's ben going on too long? Does it look like I care? It's still extremely funny and has amazing writing. I don't get why people hate it nowadays, other than episodes like Pay Pal, most of them are pretty good.

Number One

Bob's Burgers

I can't really describe it, you'd just have to watch it yourself. I will give you one thing, i'ts absolutely my favorite sitcom to come out of this decade

I've recently really got into Rick and Morty.

It actually kept me hooked long enough to watch the entire season in one sitting ha. It's definitely taking adult cartoons in a great new direction, and showing writers they don't need to rely on gore, sex and pop culture references to draw in adult attention, although the show is a good fraction of that...

During my early teen years I watched my fair share of South Park and the Simpsons too, but I haven't kept up with them since the 10th season debuted and for Simpsons pretty much anything post-movie.

And I hate to admit that Mr. Pickles is a guilty pleasure of mine.

American Dad, but that's mostly because of Roger and Stan.

I also like Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Ugly Americans, and Drawn Together.

I've always had a bit of a liking towards The Simpsons too, even the newer episodes.
