Your opinion on Molestia?

YOU'RE PRACTICALLY WRITING OFF A CHARACTER WHO ACTIVELY RAPES AND SEXUALLY HARASSES OTHER PASTEL COLORED PONIES AS "A JOKE"

First of all, stop with the excessive caps lock. It's dreadfully painful.

Secondly, molestia is a joke. Saying it as you do makes it seem bad, but then again, so does everything in its base form. I literally could use that argument as a way to shut down almost anything with the tiniest of negative connotations.

Merriam Webster defines a joke as 'something said or done to provoke laughter,' which is exactly what the molestia blog is. While it may have absurd and explicit basis for the jokes, it is nothing illegal, nor against the rules of tumblr.

The people doing this are simply worried about the face of the community, and how others view us. My thoughts on this.

1. There are more pleasant ways of putting this, but here goes. Fuck that. I am here to watch a show, and enjoy the fanmade content. If your goal is to make this fandom grow into a world dominating force by shutting down parts of it that people like, you're doing it wrong. 

2. The only people who even care enough about the brony community to hate us already view us as a bunch or pedophilic rapists who have a strong desire to 'do it' with horses.

3. People who find out about the fandom and are interested enough to check it out are going to do so by, get this, watching the show. The show does not have molestia in it,  it does not have pony porn in it, it does not have grimdark, or sadfics, or cupcakes, or any of these weird fandom creations. by that point, they are either not interested, in which case they will leave and not look any further, ignoring molestia style content, or they will have been intrigued by the show, and, already being bronies at that point, can choose to ignore or enjoy such things, depending on their interests. 

 

I don't know about you, but I became a brony because I watched the show. All the other stuff didn't drive me away, i just ignored it, or laughed at/along with it.

I mean, honestly, how many of you checked pony tumblr's, and paheal before you watched the show?

 

TL;DR, I know.

I honestly still don't see what the big fuss is about when someone brings up Molestia. 
Molestia is just a parodied version of Celestia, yet some dorks like to take it too seriously and automatically dislike it. I ain't saying they have to, all i'm saying is that all I have been seeing today is "Molestia this" and "Molestia that."

Meh....all in all, I find Molestia to be pretty hilarious, despite the sexual inuendos. XD

Even though the Molestia supporters are defending themselves, that doesn't give them the right to send hate mail to the DWM supporters. They can still defend themselves without resorting to this deplorable E-war tactic.

 

Also, you're wrong about who started the Molestia drama. It began because a few tumblr users who disliked Molestia grew tired of the Molestia fans trying to silence them with excuses like "learn to take a joke." As a result, they spread the word and gained more supporters.

 

If the Molestia fans would have been more mature with handling criticism, the whole drama probably would never have happened.

Or maybe if those who don't support Molestia took a millisecond to close the browser window or just go to a different webpage, the whole thing could have been avoided. Seriously, it's easier to just not look at it if you don't like it.

 

I am going to actively fight DWM until it either goes away or I go away, and I don't ever plan on going away.

Do you think that if you wave your anti-Molestia protest art in their faces for long enough they're just going to stop doing it? No, they won't. It's completely stupid. This guy is right. Molestia  is a kid thing if you compare it to things I have seen on 4chan. Why attack molestia and not try to clean up 4chan a bit? Ask Princess Molestia is a hilarious blog especially with Gamer Luna. And these days it's tamer than ever. The last cartoon was about eating cake.

I have to admit that it kinda leaves me on edge to most of time thinking that is pretty much is one of the most popular pony blogs out there besides Moonstuck, and It's pretty much strictly about Celestia being a horny whore. (And lots of 'em go there for clopping) But I've also gotta admit it that It's all pretty much for the fun, and It was never really intended for seriously provoking any kind of serious sexual acts towards ponies or setting an image about the fandom, so it really doesn't matter. Anybody who is responsible for trying to take down Molestia is responding to a legitimately funny joke in a childish, unreasonable, and petty way. If somebody doesn't like something, they should ignore it, the world does not revolve around their ideals.

 

In fact, I think I should start posting Molestia jokes MORE now that people dislike it.

I think it's actually kind of offensive that people find Molestia to be a serious problem while there are people out there being murdered in the street. Could they not be devoting their time to fixing that instead of complaining about something that's really not a problem?

I just remembered something my history teacher told me.

The ages between 15-20 (perhaps 25) is when we feel most righteous, and know what we want the world to be.  We preach and try to change it, although rarely people will make big big steps.  He then said, outside that age, we realize we cannot change the world.  We give up, and learn to tolerate the world. 
On tumblr, I follow a lot of fifteen year olds.  They scream about all of this stuff and make online petitions.  The petitions will most likely get ignored.  Petitions, are like job applications.  Just because you hand one in doesnt mean that it's going to get noticed, or not thrown out.  You have to do something- go in multiple times, show your face, be there when important people will take notice.  Do something instead of get signatures.  Signatures, esp online ones, can be faked too.
But I digress;  most of the people on tumblr are barely in their teens and dont know anything about the real world, because they never leave their houses.  Taking down a blog isnt going to help, it isnt what could help.  There are more productive protests and ways to spread awareness.  You need to get out there to do it.

Sorry if this has been brought up before, but I am a little confused about what's hated or not in the fandom.

 

We have Sad Pinkie(I know what the fandom calls her, I don't know why they call her by her full name in her psychotic state) who kidnaps and tortures other by chopping them alive and adding them into baked goods, and people flood the internet with so much fan art devoted to her.

 

And Rainbow Dash who runs a secret, blood harvesting factory(Sorry if I got that wrong, I never read that fan fic, the only reference I got was from "Captain Hook, The Biker Gorilla,") and someone makes a song devoted to the fic.

 

But a molesting Princess gets a misguided group who are devoted to wipe her off the internet...

Only the creepiest haters of molestia blog remain. The odd vitriolic attack here and there comes up, but the DWM movement is without a true captain because I don't know it's been over 4 days and that's usually how long the internet takes to move on from one needless drama to another. Next week PS4 drama...or something

The cartoon ponies on Ask Princess Molestia are comedical, not genuinely designed as dodgy R34 stuff at all. Really it's nothing to fret over at the end of the day, especially with how tame the blog is now.

For as the future goes, nobody knows what is and what isn't going to happen the next day, hour, minute, etc. But I do think that becoming a part of a new fandom is a hard job, and getting used to its ways, is an even bigger challenge.

 

I don't think that some people are dedicated to loving and tolerating...
