The dearly departed Mitch Hedberg (1968-2005, drug overdose) is my favorite stand-up comedian. Thank you for making us laugh, thank you for making us think about the world in a different way.

-I hope the next time I move I get a phone number that's real easy to remember. Something like 222-2222. People would say, "Mitch, how do I get a hold of you?" I'd say, "Just press two for a while and when I answer, you will know you have pressed two enough."

-If carrots got you drunk, rabbits would be fucked up.

-I want to be a race car passenger. Just a guy who bugs the driver. "Say man, can I turn on the radio?" "You should slow down." "Why do we gotta keep going in circles?" "Man, you really like Tide..."

-I like rice. Rice is great when you're hungry and you want 2,000 of something.

-Whenever I go to shave, I assume there's someone else on the planet shaving, so I say, "I'm gonna go shave, too."

-Last week I helped my friend stay put. It's a lot easier than helping them move. I just went over to his house and made sure that he did not start to load shit into a truck.

-I’d hate to be the headless horseman’s dentist. You wouldn’t make very much money.

Two of my favorite comedians are Stephen Colbert and Bill Hader. The former is the host of The Colbert Report, and the latter is a former repertory cast member for Saturday Night Live

In my opinion, both of them exemplify the art of comedy. They are truly masterful. Their mannerisms and their overall mode of comedic delivery are unique and profoundly hilarious. In the contexts I have seen them in, while some of their jokes are of an inappropriate nature they, for the most part, do not rely on incessant and pervasive vulgarity for the purpose of shock value in order to drive their comedy. It seems that many modern comedians do rely on such shock value, which is regrettable.

The Colbert Report is an inherently political show. While I do not always necessarily agree with Colbert's political standpoints, I love his comedic style nonetheless.

Dave Chappelle.

It's a shame one of the only few remaining God-tier comedians called it quits... :(

I'm okay though, I guess...

In one of his last stand-up in Hartford, Chicago, he was heckled so bad, he walked off stage.

The lst one he did, he said that he hoped North Korea would bomb Hartford, that in the future he would not stop in Hartford for gas and and then wrapped it up nicely by shouting "Fuck Hartford!".

I have watched George Carlin forever, and I love his comedy, of tell it how it is, tell people what they should hear, so after I came home from the military, I enjoyed George even more, because what he made fun of way back, is coming true for that is the making of the organism we became, now I see Doug Stanhope as my current favourite comedian, he is pretty close to George Carlin, playing on social and political satires, that make up our present, some might see them as profane, but they have a lot of wit, so not only are they funny, but they are insightful and wise.

Lewis Black, John Fugelsang, Joe McHale, and John Stewart. I can't think of any more at this time.

If you are reading this you clearly have sometime on your hands, or you just like to read. Lets be honest they can be very related, you are on a forum dedicated to pastel colored miniature equines. Though if reading this is a waste of time, what would it say about the person who is writing it....

also The Game, Consult the Helix Fossil, /0, and other such maymays
