Favorite Pokemon - Pichu - I love Pichu because I am a huge fan of the Pikachu evolutions and prevelutions, and I never stopped liking Pichu.

Favorite Starter - Bulbasaur - I just think Ivysaur looks adorable. 

Favorite Legendary - Dialga - Its appearance explains it all.

 

Favorite Generation - Soul Silver/Heart Gold - You can let your pokemon actually walk with you. 

Favorite Type - Grass - Most of the cutest pokemon are grass

I was playing Pokemon Black when I thought of this. I wondered what everyone's favorite pokemon for every type was and their favorite and least favorite type overall. So, I figured why not make a thread to get answers? It can be pokemon from any of the generations. Have fun!

 

Note: If the pokemon has two types such as Bug and Flying for instance, then pick either category for it.

Normal: Togekiss

Fire: Magmortar

Water: Lapras*

Grass: Breloom

Electric: Jolteon*

Ice: Mamoswine

Fighting: Heracross

Poison: Weezing

Ground: Swampert

Flying: Aerodactyl (HECK YES! 30% flinch, over 500 attack w. CB, 394 speed, a freaking beast!)

Psychic: Unown Latios* / Latias*

Bug: Scizor* 

Rock: Cradily (I still have no idea what his weaknesses are)

Ghost: Rotom*

Dragon: Dragonite*

Dark: Umbreon*

Steel: Metagross

 

Favorite type: Flying

Least favorite Type: Fire (so many common weaknesses...)

 

Note that pokemon with a little * next to them were picked because of a little personal attachment rather than pure competitive edge. They were likely used on my teams at some point (at least the ones gen 3 and below.)

 

EDIT: and if anyone was wondering what my strongest single-typing team was, it was either water or flying, both were pretty awesome and feature many diverse types of pokemon. My worst was probably fire, not many options and earthquake one-shotted everything.

These favourites are not for competitive play. They're heart favourites!

 

Normal: Wigglytuff. Mainly because of his role in PMD2, where he reminded me of Pinkie Pie. n.n

Fire: Torkoal.

Water: Piplup. My faithful partner in PMD2. Piplup is so damn cute I can't stand it.

Grass: Grovyle. Grovyle is also my favourite ever Pokémon. Again, it's for his PMD2 role... <3

Electric: Electivire.

Ice: Glalie. He looks so cool.

Fighting: Lucario. Mostly because of Smash Bros. Brawl, but there you go.

Poison: Drapion.

Ground: Gliscor.

Flying: Salamence. It's so adorable, spending two evolution stages wanting to fly, and then suddenly it grows wings

Psychic: Celebi.

Bug: Shuckle. Learned to appreciate it after watching a ton of EmperorZNB.

Rock: Shuckle again.

Ghost: Chandelure.

Dragon: Salamence again.

Dark: Sableye.

Steel: Escavalier. It looks like a Lego figure. n.n

 

Favourite type would definitely be Water. My first Pokémon game was when I picked a water starter, and I've loved all the water aspects of moves and its specific type strengths.

 

Least favourite type would be Poison. I just never thought it was much fun. It's good against Grass and nothing else... and those evil Haunters from PMD2 were part Poison, so yeah. :3
