I love Doctor Whooves, but I would be really annoyed if he held a large part, I was a little annoyed that he even had a speaking role. I like him as a background character, he is an awesome easter-egg character (like The Big Lebowski ponies).

I do not care how many like the idea .... by the way, even I like the idea ... but the "Dr Whooves" of MLP is nowhere near the Doctor in the fandom!

 

And, by that, the whole idea of giving him a seperate episode, falls TOTALLY!

 

A Derpy episode it at least 10 times more probable, perhaps even a 100 times more probable.

 

There have been some winks from Hasbro to the fanbase about how Doctor Hooves MAY have traveled through time. I'd like to point out several examples... but I can't remember them all.

I don't see any possible way that they could have Dr. Hooves star in an entire episode. I would love to see a little reference to Dr. Who though. I say give him a few lines of dialogue.

I think it's likely that we may see a Dalek or the TARDIS in an episode, most likely for just a couple seconds or so. As much as I would LOVE for Doctor Hooves to get his own episode, I doubt it will happen. Even if the BBC is lenient when it comes to copyright, I doubt Hasbro would feel safe straight-up taking the Doctor's character and putting onto a pony. Also, Hasbro has yet to explore other background ponies such as DJ Pon-3 and Octavia, so it's much more likely that they will get featured in an episode since they don't run the risk of copyright infringement.

 

If we do get an episode where Doctor Hooves is featured, it is likely that they'll change him, in some way, from the Doctor we know and love (again to avoid copyright). But his appearance in any major role probably won't happen for a long time, if at all. Rest assured, though, that the creators of the show will most likely continue to give us little nods like they did in SSCS6000.

 

The reason I say we may see things like a Dalek or the TARDIS in an episode is because another show has already done that - Mr. Bean played with a toy Dalek in the Christmas episode. So, if the BBC allows that, there shouldn't be any problem with putting a little something from Doctor Who in an episode as an Easter egg.

Here's what I'd like to see:

 

There was an episode of the Simpsons a few years ago called "22 Short Films About Springfield." It was basically a big rotating story that encompassed just about everybody in Springfield - from the Simpsons themselves to tertiary characters like Cletus, Chief Wiggum, Moe, and fan favorite Very Tall Man (pictured below).

 

 

Each part of the story was itself an independent 90-120 second vignette and the whole thing culminated in the center of town. MLP could pull something like that off with all of the background ponies like Dr. Whooves, Derpy, Vinyl, Lyra & Bon Bon, etc.

Yes the Doctor needs to appear in another episode and talk again. And this time his voice will be british. Though it would be awesome if he talked like 10th doctor or 11. But anyways all he needs to say is a few words and go Allons-y.

Oh one thing the dr. whooves fans might not realize -- Dr who is into new episodes starting 9/1. Now if only we could get new pony episodes.
