I hated AJ at first, then I saw Applebuck Season. Now I love her.

 

Also, Apple Bloom is the most adorable character ever. Also voted for Diamond Tiara because her Citizen Kane arc was awesome in every way.

My second favorite character in the entire list of favorite characters of MLP is Princess Celestia, since she seems to be despised. She needs more love though.

 

I would of picked Gilda but she's not there. Damn it!

 

I hate Fluttershy and Rarity. Fluttershy doesn't seem to change a lot, she is afraid of her own shadow and is still shy even after three seasons. I don't see the need of why Rarity is a favorite, sure, she is generous but she is spoiled at the same time.

 

I'm most related to Twilight Sparkle but I like Rainbow Dash. Since my home state gets a lot of rain, I like the weather.

I think she would get more if it showed a big more of Celestia outside of her roles as princess and mentor to Twilight. Despite my misgivings about it though one good thing that could come out of alicorn Twilight is Celestia could get some much needed character development and my favorite princess being Luna getting a bit more attention as well. I have a feeling that Celestia and Luna are at their best when they are together.

I do like Luna, but I don't see the problem with Celestia. What's with her fanon personalities of Trollestia, Tyrantlestia, and Molestia? I feel like there's nothing wrong with her character.

Celestia is a great character, in my opinion.  She is kind and humble and funny.  I think my favorite moments with her were in "Best Night Ever" and "Bird in the Hoof."  I would like to see Celestia kick some butt sometime.  We know that she is powerful, in theory, but she is always the one that gets taken out by the bad guy so that the Elements of Harmony have to save the day.  The same thing happens to Superman and Charles Xavier.  They are too powerful, so they need to be removed from the action to give other characters a chance to shine.

My favourite of the main 6 is definitely Fluttershy, but our personalities are by no means alike.

Probably the 2 ponies I am closest to are Rarity and Pinkie.

But I don't know... I guess she's so cute and adorable.  But she's also really kind, which is something I strongly aspire to be among my pears.

Dashie all the way. I've been a fan of her from the start. She would be a great friend to me because we both like to do extreme stuff and we are both very loyal as well.

It seemed like a good idea to c&p my response to a different thread, here.

 

The qualities that make her great are very subtle-I overlooked them at first. She is by far the most mature out of the group and the easiest for me to relate to. She's loyal, brave, usually honest, hard-working, independent, kind, caring, helpful, athletic, down-to-earth, competitive, strong, slightly stubborn, has nerve ("I didn't learn anything!), and friends and family are important to her. She doesn't hide who she is, unless she's hiding a great secret of some kind. She's also never shown jealousy when her friends all have impressive abilities. I'd be a pit of misery if I was an Earth pony instead of a unicorn.

 

I thought it was a huge character-building moment when Applejack planned another route with Fluttershy in Dragonshy while her other friends were going to continue on the same path. That is something a true leader does, stepping up when it is appropriate and not always the popular decision. Of course, the Apple Family Reunion showed she still has to work on her leadership skills.

 

She is very much in harmony with herself, her family, and friends.

 

Unfortunately, conflict creates stories. AJ's inner and outer harmony make it harder for her to have stories and grow more, compared to her less harmonious friends.

 

I like to imagine that in the future, AJ considers the whole town her family and becomes something like a Sherriff. She could also do well as a shaolin monk, hahaha.

wow, hard call cause i like just about all of them but Princess Luna is my top pick overall cause i see alot of myself in her.   other ponys on my top list are fancy pants and fleur de lis cause he a boss and haveing a supermodel on your back when talking is cool, Princess Celestia and Princess Cadance because there kind and just rules,  Zecora cause she is my people and the way she talks, and last  Nightmare Moon and Queen Chrysalis cause i think there sexy and i like bad girls with a plan. but as i said i like all the characters besides Gilda,Trixie,Flim and Flam, Prince Blueblood and Garble.

In season 1 my favorite was Fluttershy. This mostly stemmed from her being the only pony I didn't find overly obnoxious. Besides Twilight, but only because I could relate to her frustration of dealing with the other obnoxious ponies. Fluttershy was quiet and adorable, and continued to maintain her status as best pony. Then of course came the finale, starring Flutterage. Her maniacal adorableness was so adorable :3 Come season 2 however, I certainly didn't find the mane 6 obnoxious any more. With all of them at a level playing field, Fluttershy's constant level of quiet adorableness wasn't quite enough for best pony status. Season 2 really picked up for Pinkie Pie in my opinion. She had so many great episodes, gags, and songs. Season 3 hasn't changed my opinion too much, although Twilight is definitely higher up on my list now. The ending of Magic Duel was probably my favorite scene of all of season 3. Pinkie's gasp before finally being able to talk again, only to be cut off by the credits, was wonderful.

My favorite is Big MacIntosh. I just like how he's a pony of few words.

 

Out of the mane 6, Pinkie is my favorite, closely followed by Twillight and Fluttershy, because they are the 3 that I have the most in common with. Pinkie represent my crazy side, how I can be random, how I love to have fun and how I want everybody around me to have fun, laugh and smile. Twillight represent my bookworm side and how I like to learn new things. Finally, while I'm not as shy as Fluttershy, I do have my shy moments but the main reason why I'm similar to Fluttershy is because I'm very kind and extremely hard to anger but if somehow, you manage to anger me, you will wish that you didn't. I can do the Stare as effectively as her...

 

Granny Smiths is also one of my favorite for being a lot like my grandma.

 

Out of the background ponies, my favorite would be Derpy, DJP0N3 and Doctor Whooves.

 

I also like Flim and Flam a lot, 'cause they were fun, but they weren't choices in the poll so...

Favorite CMC is Scootaloo her moves with the scooter are amazing! 

 

Favorite Background pony is Vinyl Scratch because I love all the fan music associated with her.
