It's weird. My favorite character when the show first started was Rainbow Dash hooves down! But now, it's actually Pinkie Pie..

Rainbow Dash represented traits I was very in need of myself: confidence and incredible personal strength. I sort of looked up to her in a way. But now, the thing I feel most in need of is happiness, I'm sort of thinking my preference for ponies kinda depends on what I feel I need most... Pinkie Pie's antics never fail to make me feel happier, and - being as I sort of act like Pinkie Pie sometimes when I get really hyped (and the time feels right!) - makes me feel secure that I shouldn't feel "bad" or down on myself for that trait.

I absolutely love Applejack.  She is my favourite, followed by Twilight Sparkle!

I think Applejack is neglected in general because she barely has any flaws. She's my favourite because of her hard working nature, and an unwillingness to give up.

 

Although, I think everyone has a varying favourite pony, because they base it on their own personality

My favorite secondary character would have to be Princess Luna.

I Absolutely LOVE Princess Luna!

And my favorite Tertiary Background Character would have to go to Nurse Redheart.

I know she's not that major of a character, having only appeared in one/two or so episodes, but she's so GOD DAMN ADORABLE!

Plus lets just say I have a little fetish for nurse role-plays...

Scootaloo and Rainbow Dash are my two favs. They have the most heartwarming relationship in the show. And would you look at that, they have the most votes of their respective groups! Or rather, Scoots has the most of the CMC! Either way, that's awesome!

Darling, we all know it's rarity.

I feel like Rarity never loses her potential, she is just so interesting to me.

While pinkie and twilight, and Applejack, have been a bit exhausted in potential.

 

Yeah she can be vain and has her flaws,

But I feel that it makes her more of a realistic persona. Fluttershy maybe, but she can kinda be a Mary Sue and rainbow dash needs more depth, Like in sonic rainboom.
