Bronies being disappointing

Overdaul

Recommended Posts

There are those goofy-assed antibrony youtube videos make me squirm from the ignorance coming from their mouths. That doesnt bother me but what does are the minority of bronies that feel it's needed to lash out against the uploader. They are in my opinion as bad as the people mindlessly, ignorantly ranting anti's. The mentioned bronies make the group as a whole just look childish. Does a little phrase 'love and tolerate' ring a bell? What do you guys think?

Lashing out is sometimes acceptable... when it's a more grievous crime. I've said it before and I'll say it again, bronies are hilarious and silly and that's one of the main reasons I consider myself one.

Us bronies hate anti-bronies. They nasteh. But I agree with some bronies being a little immature in the YouTube commenting section. They were probably just defending their fandom. If not, well.... Whatever. :P You can't really do anything to stop them since, after all, it's THEIR account. Hopefully someday they'll mature. :)

It's sort of difficult to love and tolerate little douchebags who resort to ignorantly judging someone's entire character by their TV show preference rather than their personality and merits.

The whole thought of something that foolish puts me into a raging fit too.

It's certainly wrong to fight fire with fire. Not only does it fail to make things better, it also exacerbates the issue. Don't stoop to the haters' level; instead, either prove them wrong through actions, or ignore them altogether.

Hey, I've moved your thread to Sugarcube Corner, where threads related to the brony fandom belong.

You can reply to jerks without being a jerk. If someone says something ignorant or hateful (maybe to troll, maybe not), you don't have to stay silent. Just don't overreact either. A simple "you're kind of an ass huh?" and nothing else, would do just fine.

It seems to me like far too many bronies get far too defensive about it a little defensiveness is understandable considering all the unjustified hate we get but there are some who take it a bit farther than they should and some of the responses to haters is a good example of this. So some loser wants to go out of their way to bash bronies, I want to fall asleep just thinking about it. They use the same tired arguments over and over and over again "bronies jerk off to ponies" "they are gay" "they are pedophiles" which makes me more bored than angry. I don't lash out at these people because it is exactly what they want us to do so I do the one thing that drives haters more crazy than anything else and that is absolutely nothing, I just enjoy my ponies as just one in a list of many different hobbies I have and not take their bait.

Um, dude... It's youtube... Nobody ever expects to get reasonable or civilized comments on youtube... So you kinda answered your own question right there.

I would just straight up ignore them since I would lose the argument anyway.  I certainly don't want to be a part of a community that thinks having a 'life' is fast cars, fast women and fast drinks.  Sometimes having all three at the same time- woop, car accident.  DUI.

I never knew judging individuals of a community counted as 'Love & Tolerance'!

Anyways, the best thing to do is to just ignore them instead of wasting your time whining about it.

Don't feed the parasprites is the more apt term. Love & tolerate is mostly an internal term for keeping the community working together. It's important to be nice to others but trolls and haters don't have to be loved or tolerated, They are not part of our community. You just need to move on and ignore these people.

I have made brony music since 2011. I like all kinds of music and genres. I'm sure you'll like some of it..

Here's My YouTube..I have several albums on Bandcamp and Pony.FM.

Hold it down to one last breath, bud :D

Fighting in that form solves nothing. I hate it, honestly, and lashing out at people like that, whether it be a brony or an anti-brony, is simply going to create problems and nothing more.

Of course, not much can be done in this regard. Our community seems to have a pretty negative reputation already :P At this point, it shouldn't be trying to stop people who make our community look bad, because people are simply going to pick and choose at whatever they can to take us down a notch.

So, yeahh, it is disappointing when bronies get all defensive like that to people who are clearly trolls, but it doesn't matter; they'd still try to find things to do be pricks to us :D

That's the internet for you, man.

Does a little phrase 'love and tolerate' ring a bell?

Nope, because it is NOT PART OF ANYTHING RELATED TO THE SHOW...

If it were, than the ponies have done a terrible job of it after making Trixie run off in shame, gilda in humiliation, sombra in death, forcing the dragon from his home, and forcing chrysalis out and away from her changelings food source. Heck, until Twilight straightened them out, everypony was very content in fearing and making up stories about Zecora. (of these, only the Zecora and Trixie ones ended on decent terms. Though Trixie took a second episode, and still was shamed into submission)

By ending without a conflict resolution that involves both sides being on the up and up, they're not showing much of the concept of "Love AND tolerate" outside of their own friends.

Its about FRIENDS, sticking by your true friends, and what makes them true friends. As well as how you can be a real friend to others.

That just some schtick thats been thrown around WAY to much, and it needs to be ended.

As to the people going ape on the haters.. sadly thats just how it'll be. Despite it feeds the trolls, some people just can't seem to understand that they aren't helping their cause by making fools of themselves.

Trust me, you'll adapt to this annoyance.

Besides the best retort to their stupidity is your very existance, without saying a word.

You're a brony and you are none of those stupid stereotypes, so ignore their words.

You are your own example of a real brony a "prime example" if I dare to say.

Be the brony that proves them wrong.

As I once heard it put regarding one of the more infamous detractors on Tumblr calling out someone for calling out their bullshit:

"A personal blog with information and posts about various topics from social issues to horror movies vs. a blog that exists to mock and belittle bronies. Which is the obsessive one here?"

That reminds me of a qoute I saw(talking about both ways up the street)
