I have a few headcanns, yes. Some of which are:

Pinkie is smarter than Twilight

Starswirl is the mastermind behind all of Twi and friends' trials, and he's using Sunbutt as a middle mare to push them.

Sunset Shimmer WILL return to Equestria, become Luna's student, and eventually rule alongside Twi, BUT decline the Princess position

Spike is most mature out of the mane 6

Pinkie and Discord share some relation to each other.

Vinyl and Octavia aren't roomies, but were just artists recording together

Sunset Shimmer and Star Dreams are sisters

Pinkie Pie can teleport, but chooses not to tell anyone in order to maintain her grand standing as the ultimate surprise party planner. That's why nobody can ever escape her when she needs something, be it wanting an explanation or to apologise for something. Even Rainbow Dash who practically breaks the sound barrier and soars over rough terrain can't escape.

 

That's my theory anyway.

A new headcanon to explain why Big Mac is so strong compared to other Earth Ponies: he's got yak heritage.

If that were true than Apple Jack and Apple Bloom would also have yak heritage.  Sorry, but I don't buy it.

When Sunset Shimmer first went through the mirror portal to the human world, her human counterpart was already a freshman student in Canterlot High.  pony Sunset killed human Sunset and took her place.  That's why we've never seen Sunset Shimmer's human counterpart.  She's dead.

Clouds in Equestria are different from clouds on Earth; They are made out of water suspended and held together by pegasus magic. This magic gives them a certain degree of solidity; Things such as inanimate objects can sit on them. The reason earth ponies and unicorns fall through them is because their inner magic causes the magic inside the clouds to fray, making the cloud dissolve. Griffons, who are mostly nonmagical, can also stand on the clouds. Cloud cities are made of more compressed cloud that is smooth, though that substance doesn't float as well. Without magic to hold them up, clouds simply dissolve into rain.

Spoiled Rich and Cookie Crumble are sisters. I think Spoiled refused to associate with Cookie, though. Spoiled Rich is Diamond Tiara's mother, and Cookie Crumble is Sweetie Belle's mother. So Sweetie Belle and Diamond Tiara are cousins. 

 

 

I know, Cookie Crumble and Spoiled Rch do not look that similar, but Rarity and Sweetie Belle don't exactly look similar, either. But to me, these five look like they could be related. Diamond Tiara and Sweetie Belle do have similar color schemes.

One of my headcanons states that the term 'Blank Flank' is not just a schoolyard taunt, but is actually a full blown insult.

 

Now, let me explain: I'm sure of the idea that the term, 'Blank Flank' is not what we thought it was, but was instead a term used to put somepony down, similar to how we have the words 'faggot', 'gay', if you wanna count it, and even though I don't wanna think of it as being that bad, '[racism 1]'.

 

My only piece of evidence for this is Spoiled Rich. I'm sure I'm not the only one who was confused by such a "mature" mare saying such taunts. However, if the term, 'Blank Flank' is what I think it is, then her saying such a thing makes much more sense, wouldn't you agree?

Three involving Shining Armor: 1. Despite being former captain of the royal guard and a happily married stallion, Shining Armor is still very much a foal at heart and often pranks his wife and guards, if only to help them lighten up after a long day. 2. Twilight is not the only magical powerhouse in the family and Shining Armor's foalhood magic surges once nearly leveled the house. and 3. Shining Armor got his cutie mark protecting Twilight. This is why the shield has the same starburst she would eventually have, and why he decided to join the royal guard. So he could protect others like he protected her.

Well, I'm not as good as the other', but here's my theory:

 

The Sirens weren't always the sirens, in fact they had prominent roles in Equestrian History. Aria was taking care of the Unicorns in their times of need whilst her father ruled the tribe.

 

Adagio helped the Pegasus Soldiers prepare for any and all military applications

 

and Sonata was the undisputed leader fo the Earth Pony tribe.

 

YES! You guessed it. I'm saying these brats are the leaders of the tribes before Equestria's founding. I needn't have much to show except the unnecessary, and rather oddly placed argument at the climax of Hearths Warming Eve.

 

If I may quote:

 

"Earth Ponies are numskulls!"

 

"Unicorns are snobs!"

 

and, "Pegasi are brutes!"

 

Do I make a connection? Sonata's obviously an idiot, Aria's a snob, hands-down, and Adagio grabbed Aria twice for acting up, and caught Sunset's arm when she tried to touch her amulet. The aforementioned argument also had three familiar faces surrounding them: The Windigos. They are the piece of this puzzle that made the sirens.

 

After the fight, and Equestria was founded, the founders were acting as test subjects for Clover's newest spell. The result ended with three new enemies, and Clover almost losing her life. This is when Star Swirl comes in and stops the trio by locking them away inside the Alternate Dimension.

 

But I won't end there, I'm just getting started. Later, Clover is arguing with Star Swirl that she should have been the one to defeat them, or at least save them. Star Swirl explains the spell she used couldn't if she tried allow them to be saved, and dismisses her.

 

In retaliation, Clover steals the Elements of Harmony and tries to use them on Star Swirl. The failed result is her being sent through time and space to about a millennium later, where Celestia finds her without any memories and takes her under her wings.

 

Once she witnesses the beauty of Celestia's sunset, she decides to name herself Sunset Shimmer, after the brief, yet glorious moment of a setting sun.

 

This took way longer than it should've to create. I went through about 40 messages with some guy just to perfect this theory. (I'm still going insane over the time travel. It's just too touchy a subject to interfere with.)

Since the Hearthbreakers episode, I now have a new head canon about the Apple family and the Pie family.

 

Deep on the inside, they are connected to one thing besides the magic of friendship: Both families have a history of fighting vampire ponies.  They're both well-known for taking on the evil count DraColtula, a vampire pony who long ago utilized the power of Nightmare Moon after losing his beloved.  Celestia intended on taking on DraColtula.  But it was an ancestor of both the Apple and Pie families that defeated DraColtula and sealed him away.  But ever one hundred years, DraColtula breaks free and begins to wreck havok across Equestria again, resulting in the Apple, Pie or both Families to combat DraColtula.

Not only is Shining Armor one of the most powerful Captains Celestia has ever had, he rose through the ranks at an extraordinary rate and was in fact the youngest Captain of the Guard that Celestia has had in centuries.

Princess Twilight Sparkle and Princess Cadance won't outlive the Mane 6 or Shining Armor just because they're Alicorns. They started out as a Unicorn and Pegasus, respectively. After extraordinary circumstances, they became Alicorns, where Twilight gained Pegasus wings and Cadance gained an Unicorn horn. Despite this accession, they are not given eternal life.

 

Princess Celestia and Luna, despite being natural born Alicorns, are also NOT immortal. They just have a much longer lifespan than all the other ponies.
