Scorpan in season 5?

Scorpan was mentioned in the season 4 finale. He was Tirek's brother who betrayed him and befriended Starswirl the Bearded. Do you think he will be in season 5? Will Tirek return?

The only way Tirek could return is if he gathers dark magic from Tartarus, defeats Cerberus and steals his magic. Hope we see Scorpan and Starswirl. That would be awesome!

I'm not that sure what role Scorpan would play in the new season. I wouldn't mind seeing him, but didn't Tirek say that he befriended the ponies? What would we see in such an episode? Maybe Scorpan will free his brother, but I can't say for certain.

I was wondering where the heck he was during S4 finale.  I would wanted to have seen him appear then.

 

S5 would be good. I believe it would only be important to introduce him if he holds relevance to the plot.  How old must the guy be anyways? Is he still alive or dead?  Is he like Celestia and Luna, apparently living for years upon years ?

I'm not certain what role Scorpan might have in the series, and I doubt he'll show up in season 5 (I won't discard him showing up in a later season though). I think he'll appear in the comics first though

Tirek returning in season 5 is very unlikely Scorpan though is a possibility. Seeing Scorpan would be awesome, as Tireks brother it is likely that he quite powerful and could potentially aid in defeating the next big bad. With the precedent set by Tirek we could see more G1 villains like Grogar and the Smooze be brought into G4.

Yes and so was Tirek except Scorpan was the former prince of a kingdom that Tirek had conquered and cursed by turning into a gargoyle and making him his minion. Of course Tirek was just as power hungry even if the nature of his powers was different in G1 (rainbow of darkess was his main weapon).

I'm glad folks are mentioning Scorpan's relationship to Spike, I'm hoping big time he does make an appearance of some sort because I really want to see the two of them hit it off or something.

Yes! I'd love to see Scorpan in season five, be it a flashback or in the present. He was always my favorite character Rescue at Midnight Castle. I find it interesting how they worked him into the new generation as Tirek's brother, very clever. I also loved that they kept very close to his original design! Having him befriend Spike would also be cute and a nod to us old folks.

I'm definitely hoping there are at least callbacks, even if Scorpan never really ends up becoming important to the overreaching plot narratives DHX seems to be trying now. Maybe he becomes another Discord? Like an extra member of the group who appears in some episodes.

I would really like to see Scorpan explored in Season 5. One thing I that has bothered me since the finale -- If Tirek was still alive at that point, is Scorpan still alive, somewhere in Equestria? I feel like a lot of people make the assumption that Scorpan is dead...
