  1. I can see maybe alicorns ruling over other pony nations, like wherever Trottingham or Prance is, but not within the regular cast or in Equestria.
  2. Just For Sidekicks can go die in fire. Cathy Weseluck's attempts to interject humanity in Spike when the writers did not and the little Mane Six moments in the beginning and end are the only highlights in this mean spirited, OOC, and pointless episode. /Rage.
  3. I think it's safe to say that Twilight, and for that matter Cadence, are not immortal. I know there hasn't been any evidence to support this, but that's truly how I think it will go down. Why? Because not only would it be the elephant in the room that'd be impossible to write around, but it'd be way too depressing a turn of events. I'm already sad about Spike having to outlive all his friends, I don't need or want to think about Twilight having to go through that, and i don't think the writers want to either. This is something you'd see in one of the darker episodes of Adventure Time. Not saying FiM can't be dark, but not like this, man. But pretty much what everyone else is saying (Dash is a Wonderbolt, Rarity is famous, AJ, Fluttershy, and Pinkie are pretty content with where they are). I was wondering, though, does Celestia ever say that Twilight will inherit the thrown of Equestria? My headcanon is that a princess in this universe isn't necessarily a ruler of a country (that sounds stupid when I say it out loud). I'd think Twilight would continue the sorceress/scholar thing she's got going on if the writers insist that she's still living in Ponyville.
  4. Eating some jalepeno poppers. Buck yeah.

  5. I don't think you're giving Fluttershy enough credit. Perhaps at first Angel was manipulating Fluttershy into stealing to feed his cherry problem, but after awhile, her thieving ways have taken on a life of their own. She keeps saying that she's only stealing to get enough money so that her and Rarity can run away together and live the rest of their days as high society lovers under new names, but we all know she's just fulfilling a desire to play fast and loose with the law.
  6. Noir mystery with Spike as the protagonist and Rarity as the femme fatale. Cadence and Shining Armor on an adventure together, for whatever reason. Witty banter ensues. Wibbly Wobbly Timey Wimey epic in which the CMC are transported to the future and realize a simple mistake they made caused the world to get screwed up. Not my idea, but it's a really cool one, so there you go. Equestria sends the Elements of Harmony travel to the Griffon Kingdom (which I shall call Halcyon, because birds and stuff) to take part in a celebration to renew a peace treaty that ended a war between the two nations. But attacks and accusations are made between both sides, leading to tension that could end the treaty. The Mane Six try to figure out who is trying to start another war before everything goes to crap. Rainbow Dash is the protagonist (because I said so, that's why) and bumps into Gilda, whose still kind of pissed off. Both have to set differences aside to save Equestria and Halcyon. Themes of regret and forgiveness abound, both regarding the international conflict and the relationship between Dash and Gilda. It's kinda sorta like The Undiscovered Country, but with ponies.
  7. My current assumption is that Starswirl was before Celestia and that his spellbook was just one last mystery she kept around to test the pony she felt may have a shot at being an alicorn. I do not think that Starswirl was trying to become an alicorn, or rather, I don't think that'd be particularly interesting. The spell that Twilight wrote didn't directly turn he into an alicorn either. The spell that helped everyone recover their cutie marks was simply a signal that she was ready to reach a higher plain of enlightenment. As to why Starswirl was even messing with a spell that could change cutie marks...well, that's the interesting part.
  8. This, pretty much. I always assumed that they have no homeland or culture or anything because they have no desire to do so. They don't really care about anything else accept feeding on others and obeying their queen, who's sort of a bitch.
  9. I really dig the idea of the kingdom's cities only being accessible via flying. After looking through Equestria Prevails's portfolio, I can't help but think of the Griffin Kingdom being inspired by Medieval Europe. One conceptual idea I thought would be cool was if the capitol city was a giant, ancient tree that's been hollowed out and turned into a castle. Like if Minas Tirith was made out of the White Tree. You know, cuz they're birds!?
  10. Just drove on a highway for the first time.

  11. There's an official comic book published each month by IDW Publishing. Thus far, the book has been structured as adventure story arcs (4 issues each), telling stories that are considered canon. The first arc, which was completed last month, was about Queen Chrysalis kidnapping the CMC, prompting the Mane 6 to journey into her newly acquired kingdom (which she took by murdering its former inhabitants "on screen"!) to rescue them. The current arc shows that Nightmare Moon, the evil force that turned Luna to evil, survived its encounter with the Elements and has been residing in the moon. Luna must lead the Mane 6 against the spirit when it possesses Rarity as its new host. So Rarity is gonna be Nightmare Moon. Awesome.
  12. Or they were just searching for random Gangnam Style imagery and came up with that. I doubt the shmucks who make those types of ads are putting any thought into who they're appealing to.
  13. Just watched the video. Ugh. I'm less directly offended by the statement and more disappointed that the most widely seen shout out we've gotten so far jokes that we're pedophiles.
  14. That's actually really awesome. I mean, of course it's not for real, but if it was... You know, we really need a villain like this. Not necessarily Luna or Celestia, but a antagonist whose treachery does not become clear until later on.
  15. I like Digipony. He always presents his views in a concise and well written matter, and even if I don't agree with what he says, he does a good job selling his ideas. I'm about half and half on this explanation. The idea that this is simply a milestone in Twilight's life to show how far she's gone is a nice one that I think it ties in well with the overarching theme of character growth and actualization in the show. I've warmed to the idea that this all happened because Twilight just deserved to be an alicorn and not as a reaction to some threat or something. But I dunno, something about the way it played out seems kind of off to me. If she became an alicorn to everyone's surprise, it would have been cooler because it was like the universe itself was like "Okay, she's badass enough to be a princess now". But having Celestia be the one to seemingly grant her princesshood in that mysterious realm of plasma screen TVs makes it seem less like Twilight's destiny was organic and became apparent on its own and more like she is just jotting off boxes on Celestia's Princess Checklist. It doesn't really mesh well with my personal view on destiny, that it isn't something you were born to do, it's something you develop over time. Like, you could easily end up with any cutie mark in your lifetime, and it's less about finding what you are good at but rather what gives you best sense of self actualization. I think it would be more interesting if it was emphasized that while Twilight's initial interest in learning magic and path to becoming a princess was set in front of her, it was the choices she made and her evolving relationships that led to her custom-made destiny, and not Celestia secretly guiding her to becoming a princess.
  16. Something like that, I'd suppose. The one thing I seem to be consistently good at is ranting on a myriad of subjects, and its all thanks to watching endless AVGN and Nostalgia Critic during my formative years.
  17. My sister asked me to watch SNL with her tonight, and of all nights I had to skip it, um, this night. If only I didn't hate my sister!
  18. What a incredibly dark but apt way of putting it. Yeah, so what this guy said. It's basically a contest between Tribbles and Toilken Orcs, except with lasers, flying, and the ability to shapeshift.
  19. MOTHER OF GOD. This radically changes everything I thought I knew about the series. For you see, this reuse of music conveys a moment of thematic similarity, and the theme of the latter event was of the characters being thrown into despair because of shattered destinies. And... and... ...crap, I thought I'd have some mind blowing, obscure thing to say, but I've got nothing. I just wanted to use that gif. Pretty funny observation, nonetheless.
  20. Changelings, hands down. Think of it this way: Parasprites may be bad news, but they are more or less mindless, adorable eating machines that can be led away. They're just pests. Changelings are sentient creatures. They are an army raised up for the sole purpose of feeding off you and ruining your day. They are designed to eff your crap up.
  21. I drew this is five seconds. Not gonna color it because it'll look even crummier. Drawing ponies isn't a regular thing for me. Usually it's just doodles on my Econ quizzes.
  22. And with Bronycon coming right to my hometown this year, there's nothing stopping me from creeping you all out in person! Victory is mine!
  23. Finally got around to SLIGHTLY editing the profile. Still sucks, but better than before.
