  1. I grew up in the area I believe has the best pizza around - Chicago...I've tried NY style and I don't like it So yeah it's fair to say I adore pizza In Chicago I have two favorites Thin Crust - Giordannos Thick Crust - Lou Malnatti's butter crust deep dish
  2. oh wow...ok here we go If we are talking drinks that are legal for most of the membership here...then Decaf Peppermint Mocha Latte. The non-alcoholic drink of the gods On the other hand...if we want to be a bit naughty... The either Sam Adams Winter Lager...divine on a cold night or McCallan 12 or 18 year old scotch
  3. You must have had a few bad horses. They aren't heartless at all. They are loving and friendly. Of course you can find a few bad apples. I've met a few in my time. But I would say a good 95% I have met are so loving Now you mentioned being FORCED. So right there I am just gonna go ahead an assume you are biased due to some poor experiences. Meanwhile, horses can feel your mood too. If you are feeling upset, angry, or whatever whie you are up there they are gonna know it.
  4. Been riding all my life. The ones I rode were kept outside and they love to jump. You can feel the excitement of them when we approach. And no don't try telling me it's fear...when you get that close to an animal you know what he or she is feeling. I won't stop riding until my body quits on me Horses are wonderful
  5. To me there are a few types of I'm leaving threads. I have moderated several forums, owned one that is gone and own another that now exists... This might piss a few people off...sorry in advance 1. The temporary hiatus - Ok I get it. Sometimes people want the forum to know they have a forced or needed break but will be back. Not crazy about the post but whatever 2. The lying dramatic - Claims he/she is leaving but not going to. Just attention-whoring and basically looking for people to bathe them in love and necessity. This really ticks me off because the person knows they aren't leaving, they just want scores of members to throw the obligatory "Oh know we love you here!" or "Please stay!" so they can go on with the dramatic membership. On a forum I moderate we have one member who threatens monthly to leave. Frankly I wish the owner would let us boot her 3. The angry dramatic - This is the one that pisses me off the most. We all know the thread. "I'm leaving, this place has changed." or "I'm leaving, too much drama." People have to have their last hurrah and thing that somehow their magic words will fix the place. If drama exists it isn't going to go away with a dramatic exit. In the end, you'll be gone and the drama will still be there (that is of course if there WAS drama in the first place. Often time it can be imagined or self-created in which case I don't feel sorry for you) Every forum I have ever left because I felt it was falling apart...I just walked out. Didn't need to make a dramatic exit and I didn't need to have legions of people begging me to stay. I just figured either A. It IS falling apart in which case I don't need to be around the poison or B. I am being a big baby and imaging it in which case I should probably leave and get over myself either way it's silent
  6. Until I broke myself I was a pretty good eventer (3-day) some photos Me with Diva G Me with Milla in the cart Can't find my picture of me and Odie...I shall soon though. I have been riding over 15 years
  7. I am gonna go ahead and throw in my adult perspective. I was a child of the 80's and a teen in the 90's. Sorry to break it to some of the folks here but the douchebags, idiots, alcoholics...whatever...they existed in every decade. I like to think the type and style of douchebaggery just changes throughout. When I was in high school, girls would empty and wash their hairspray bottles and put vodka in them to drink throughout the day. Bullies existed then and there were tons of bad decisions made every moment... now with that said...I will also side with the others There is one major difference I see in 2010 teens and 80's and 90's teens...consequences Maybe I am just old and tired and crabby but here is what I see. When I was a teen and did stupid stuff I got messed up in one, two or both ways 1. My mom/dad would whoop my ass (and no it wasn't abuse...it was deserved) 2. I would hurt myself from doing something stupid and that was a lesson learned 3. I would hurt myself THEN get whooped Nowadays I read all these stories and see personal examples of teenagers growing up without examples and without consequences. True stories Here is my favorite...Kid gets caught cheating on his English final in high school. Teachers fails kid. Teacher and school board are sued by irate parents Teacher gets fired Parent spanks kid for doing something stupid. DCFS is called. Parent is now on record It's all crap. Consequences exist to teach us lessons. I kept playing with fire as a kid. Mom told me to stop. One day I burned myself. Mom said "I told you so" then took me to the doctor. I never played stupidly with fire again. Nowadays it feels like parents are too soft and/or have no ability to discipline their kids because it's abusive... well there ya go. I see both sides of this debate TL;DR - kids are kids no matter what decade but we need actual consequences
  8. Precisely...what I hate about the Conservative side is that they have this mindset that if they give their opinion the liberals will call them racist, bigoted, blah blah blah. Then they seem to ignore that when a liberal posts their view or (goddess forbid) that I like Obama, I am a socialist pig that comes from the blame America first crowd who wants to destroy some so-called American values simply because I want to give what should be pre-made rights to people who are held back. Guess what Conservatives...you are just as guilty at the name calling as our side is. Your side is just as guilty as the other side at making personal interpretations and assumptions that might very well be wrong (gasp!) Both sides need to get over it and learn how to debate without making attacks or getting beligerent Also, as a fellow Socialist I will agree with the above comments
  9. I am not saying this to be rude by any means I promise I guarantee you when nothing happens on the 22nd another theory will take its place and new or old supporters will then follow that end-of-the-world theory. It's been happening since day 1 Nostradamus, Harold Camping, the Mayan Prophecy...I would put my next paycheck on the fact that the next doomsday will have a fine share of followers. If it weren't advertising, I would tell you to go to this one forum I used to be on. You'll see this in action Again this wasn't to be confrontational to you I am just saying it like it is
  10. I don't think I fear dying per se but I would prefer to not suffer for ages before going so I try my best to take care of myself as best I can
  11. I got your request and accepted Raptor. Tomorrow night I will be on and ready to play if you are up to it I only play hardcore as well so we will be good there
  12. On December 22nd I totally plan on being banned from a certain forum I used to frequent. What I will do will be petty and immature and well beneath me but I simply cannot help myself. It's a massive forum revolving around conspiracies and the so-called "truth." The reality of this forum is a bunch of tin-foil hat wearing people who don't leave their basement who will attach themselves to one shred of what they call evidence that has been disproved many times over and then call the skeptics closed-minded. The shear mass of the I-told-you-so on the forum may likely cause a local earthquake
  13. already got it...a Lemonbrat brand Rainbow Dash hoodie. It has her colors, cutie mark and mane. I highly recommend this website...they are fantastic and do customs as well DONE!!!
  14. easy peasy Atari Football on Atari (1978 version) Beat my friend 199 to 0 and then the game never worked again. It's pretty much the only epic moment I have had in gaming Otherwise the closet I can come is going 33-3 in Black Ops I...but let's be honest there are a good 5million people better than me at Call of Duty
  15. My wife of ten years. The only women I have ever met that was special enough to understand me. Bear in mind this is not a statement of ego, I am nobody special. What I mean is that she accepts and loves the collection of behaviors, beliefs and whatnot that makes up me
  16. Thanks a ton! I just registered. I can't wait to see if they become big. I think it is hard to be an open brony in the military but it's getting easier.
  17. I see no reason to have the issue at all. The military (and I know this will be unpopular) needs a bit more sensitivity. I spent 8 years active and 2 years reserve and frankly I was appalled by some (see: most) of the viewpoints in the military
  18. Anyone here want to join a game together on XBox? You can add me at Derpy Hooves DA I will say that I prefer to play hardcore...I like my bullets to actually do damage

  22. Hey something I have experience in finally. I have been riding hoses since I was a kid and jumped competitively. I for one adore ponies in real life and used the ride them when I was younger. Love em!
  23. I would want to hug Rarity. She gets such a bad rap.and I think she needs a hug. She's all soft and sensitive deep down To the original question...probably a good 6-7 times a day. Pretty much any time my wife passes me in the apartment
  24. First off...your emblems are amazing second...I am actually pretty pleased with the game with one exception. The campaign did nothing for me. Boring and just bland IMO The multiplayer though I like
  25. I study Zen Buddhism...my meditative practice is my peace of mind. Simplicity and living in the moment is how I survive each day. It has done much for my anxiety
