I had the exact same reaction. You reckon it's just for today, because I thought The Hub was going to change its schedule?

Would hate to see FiM end anytime soon. Two, three, and even four seasons just wouldn't be enough. I mean, it's the most popular show that The Hub has, and we all know new channels struggle to get new content that gets ratings. I just hope that the popularity of this show prevails, even if The Hub doesn't get anything new that's good. Though it's a good network, and I wish the best for it. =) MLP FiM is to The Hub as Spongebob is to Nickelodeon and what Adventure Time is to Cartoon Network. I sincerely hope to see this show spawn well over a hundred episodes or more in its life time. Sure, that might mean G4 lasts longer than previous generations, but if it's this beloved by people, then might as well! Yet I SO agree on the merchandise issue. You'd think they'd be milking the series with any and all products imaginable, yet there's not that much, and what there is, is quite unimpressive. Oh well, give it time. And uh, back on topic. I must say once Twilight melted down in ep 3, from that point on every single scene became an instant favorite for me. This episode caused me to actually laugh out loud to myself. Rarely does that happen to me, ever. FiM has always had charming humor, but now it's 20% more hysterical than ever.

Oh boy, I cut up watching this episode. It far exceeded my expectations in every possible way. I was not expecting such hilarity. There was so much that went right with this episode, it was well worth the wait. The long list of highlights in this episode I think we can all agree on: - Great new intro. It gives us that fresh feeling that this is truly a new season. - Great animation. I noticed how much better it was. It was already good, but now I can't wait to see more! - Twilight. Oh. Em. Gee. This had to be the most hilarious Twilight centered episode in history. Her facial expressions and behavior were the main source of humor. - Rainbow Dash being awesome as always. Destroying AJ's barn and then wearing those "Deal With It" shades. Just cool. - Rarity. "This. Is. The. Worst. Possible. Thing!" Good to see more dramatic humor from Rarity. - Big Macintosh and the doll. Cutest, funniest thing ever. - CMC's! They were fun this time. "I really like her mane." - Derpy cameos! - Spike. Because the little fella's always looking out for that adorkable Twilight. - DAT WHEAT IN AJ'S MOUTH. I might have missed some, but my point is, this was a fantastic episode. I watched it twice already, and I'm tempted to begin round three. Between this and The Return of Harmony (which might as well be called season 1, but alas) I would say season 2 is off to a tremendous start.

What about the inevitable love story episode? ..... Please no.

Yeah, I suppose that is true. And I also love AJ's interactions with Applebloom, as seen in Show Stoppers, Call of the Cutie, and Bridle Gossip. I hope the two of them have plenty of screentime in Sisterhooves Social. I know the spotlight's on Rarity and Sweetie Belle, but here's hoping for a good one. =D

Lookin' forward to a good Rarity episode, and I think it's about time we see a bit more Rarity + Sweetie Belle stuff. I am probably more anticipated for this episode than the other two, but arguably so. I do hope the other crusaders and their sister/idol will also be making appearances.

Only my family really knows that I like it, but if someone ever pops the question about it, I won't be ashamed to admit I like it. I guess it's easier to admit it if you're a girl. Still, there's always the "You're too old for that" rebuttal. Now I don't run around wearing Pony tees nor do I collect the dolls. Not that I won't pick up merchandise based on the show, but it's gotta be something special.

I think I like every episode a whole lot, well with the exception of Stare Master. That's my least favorite episode thus far. I can't pick one fave, but here's the ones I like best: - Friendship is Magic - Dragonshy - Bridle Gossip - Fall Weather Friends - Sonic Rainboom - Green Isn't Your Color - Over A Barrel - Cutie Mark Chronicles - The Best Night Ever Yeah, I picked a lot, because the show's quality is so consistent. =D

Gosh, already a year of this stuff and I ain't got into this until just a month ago? Glad I am here now at least. Here's to many more years of FiM! Happy anniversary!

Not enough AJ, and I say this because she only really had one episode where she was the sole focus, and that was Applebuck Season. Sure, she was big in Look Before You Sleep and Fall Weather Friends, but she shared the spotlight between Rarity and RD respectively. AJ needs more solo episodes, eeyup. I could say the same thing for Dash too. After that I got nothin'.

Funny you should say that, as RD was also my initial favorite. However, I had a very hard time really picking a favorite in the end. Once I thought I figured out who I liked, I started admiring somepony else. I think I finally settled it with AJ. Any one of them would make a great favorite though.

The quality of the show as far as its jokes and characterizations would essentially be the same, but I think it wouldn't have near as much charm. The art style of the show and the character designs are a huge part of the reason the show is so beloved and successful. Now, I might not mind an episode or something where they turn human for a short time due to some spell or whatever, but I must admit I'd be scared to see what they'd all look like.

That's a mighty fine observation. I forgot all about that. I think Fluttershy might just be the oldest.
