  1. I don't remember where I saw it but there was a comment I read somewhere that said something perfect about her. It was that the fact that she hasn't just up and left Ponyville all together is enough proof that she deserves her element. All that's really holding her there are her friends. Her house is easy to move around (it's a friggin' cloud), she could easily get a job like the one she already has anywhere else, if they needed the Elements she could probably get back to them quickly considering she'd be aware of a major threat to Equestria no matter where she is. Honestly all that's stopping her from ditching Ponyville for something better are her friends... and that's enough for her. Again, I don't remember who it was who said it or where it was said (might've been youtube, believe it or not), but that guy totally gets it.
  2. They're effective, and by that I mean I love to hate them. Plus there's the possibility that there's more to them.
  3. Princess Twilight Sparkle backwards: The mane 6 go super saiyan and steal the magic from everyone in Equestria, then a kind centaur named Tirek goes about giving his own magic to everyone individually, causing him to grow weaker until he becomes old and frail, then he returns to his home in hell aka Tatratus (hell sounded funnier.).
  4. I'll throw in one more: Fluttershy is the worst of the mane 6. I don't hater her by a long shot, I actually have a strong level of affection for all the mane 6. I just don't find her that appealing most of the time though. I won't call her overrated (I hate that word), but just being really cute and nice isn't enough to make a great character for me.
  5. I prefer Dash, though they're both top 5 ponies (Dash #2, AJ #4). Dash is an edgier, more engaging character to me, plus jerky characters are just more fun and entertaining than the nicer ones. Applejack's a fine character, and a necessary one too. Dash is just the more fun one.
  6. I don't see what's so great about Luna. Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo are the most adorable ponies of their respective groups. I think the CMC are more enjoyable than the Mane 6. Rainbow Dash's jerkiness is what makes her the most enjoyable character. A Canterlot Wedding was great until the terrible climax. This is about a fanwork so I don't know if it belongs here, but I'll say it anyway for now (I can delete it if need be): Snowdrop was the most vomit inducing horrible thing I've seen, and I've seen A Serbian Film .
  7. Well Bon Bon certainly seems pretty high-strung sometimes.
  8. Dash and Scootaloo flying together at the end of Sleepless in Ponyville. More heartwarming and adorable then anything Fluttershy's ever done (and that's saying one hell of a lot).
  9. I believe Scootalove was started as a means of counteracting Scootabuse. These days it pretty much outnumbers it greatly (a very good thing in my opinion), and as we learn more about her, I think it's taking on different forms. Also, it doesn't have to involve her being an orphan who's adopted by Rainbow Dash, or any kind of overly sappy stuff. It could just be the two of them spending a day together or just having a good time. It doesn't even have to involve Rainbow Dash, it could be anypony: Her parents, one of the other mane 6, the other crusaders, etc. I (and many others) love it because we feel she deserves happiness and affection rather than abuse and rejection. Even if she's not your favorite, I think you'd feel the same if you saw it that way.
  10. I'm surprised people didn't make that mistake more often with Applejack. Her name even seems more appropriate for a male.
  11. Putting Your Hoof Down. Most enjoyment I've gotten out of Fluttershy the whole series. What can I say, I love jerky characters (it's why RD is my fav of the mane 6). I have a bit of a soft spot for The Show Stoppers if only for the fact that Scootaloo was friggin' great in it! The moment with her on the piano still cracks me up.
  12. Scootaloo's always been the best for me. She's an underdog, and who doesn't love underdogs? Hope her popularity continues to skyrocket. She needs it more than the other two (though they're alright too).
  13. Let me start by saying that I don't have problem with people not liking characters that I like. The only time it becomes a problem is when people lash out and act hostile towards the fans for liking a character they don't like. Fans who act that way are just as bad as the ones who attack others for not liking a character they like. This isn't something exclusive to Rainbow Dash though. This seems to be the case with many characters. A week ago when EQD did Applejack Appreciation Day, a few comments I read talked about how the reason AJ's fandom seems so small is because whenever someone say she was his/her favorite pony, they'd be bullied and harassed for it to the point where they left the fandom because it was impossible for them to enjoy their favorite character. Are you effing kidding me? Why the hell would such a positive and heartwarming show attract idiots like that? Now, I could go on and on about how Rainbow Dash's is one of the most enjoyable characters to me despite her jerkyness (jerky characters are best characters ) and how Scootaloo isn't just a younger copy of Dash (aside from being tomboyish, Scootaloo has a noticeably different personality from Dash), and it might change peoples minds about how they look at those two, or it might not. Really all that matters to is that they understand why I like them, and if you agree with me, great, if not, sorry you feel that way, but at least now you understand. Let's smoke a peace pipe and move on from there. I'll happily debate anyone over a character of episode if they're willing, but I'll do it respectfully without lashing out at the other person and calling him/her an idiot for not liking something I like. Bottom line: It's not character hate that bothers me. It's hostility towards the fans or non-fans of said character that bothers. Basically, whenever I hear someone say "Everyone who likes this character is an idiot" or "everyone who hates this character is not a true fan" it translates to "Excuse me, everyone, but I just want to say that I'm such an emotionally unstable, insecure wreck that I feel threatened by simple fact that somebody likes/dislikes an imaginary cartoon character that I dislike/like!" End rant.
  14. I honestly can't decide. On one hand, having her overcome adversity against all odds and achieve flight could make for one of the most emotionally satisfying episodes of the series. But at the same time having her not be able to fly but learning that it doesn't make her any less of a great pony would be a fantastic moral. In the end, I just want her to be happy. There's not a character on the show who deserves it more than her. Best pony.
  15. She's not related to Dash by blood, but they have a very sister-like relationship, which is good enough for me. Family isn't about where the blood flows, but where the love goes.
  16. Flight to the Finish was a deeply moving episode with a beautiful message. Bats! had a great song, but relied too much on a gimmick to be entertaining. That's not really a bad thing, but compared to FttF, it's not even close.
  17. Trixie's got potential to be a good character. I guess you could say the same for DT, but as of now, she's terrible. Making fun of Scootaloo's possible disability is downright monstrous, I don't care how old she is.
  18. I only see Derpy as being a bit clumsy. Scootaloo I think works better as a character with a disability.
  19. Rainbow Dash still has the most votes on the favorite pony poll on here. I think Rarity and Applejack have the least. Personally I'd rather see those two in the top three along with Dash, but *shrug*.
  20. Just give Scootaloo and Rainbow Dash a great bonding episode. Include some backstory for Scoots and some development for Dash and they could have one of the best episodes of the series.
  21. What a coincidence! I just blazed up about twenty minutes ago. Rainbow Dash would make an ideal pothead, I think, though it would probably get her kicked out of the Wonderbolts if she was caught with it.
  22. Took me all day to work up the courage to type this... I thought Snowdrop was one of the most vomit-inducingly horrible thing I've ever seen in my life, and I've seen A Serbian Film.
  23. The bird is NOT the word. ........................... Okay, for my serious one: Aside from helping to make Scootalove canon, I fail to see what is so great about Luna.
  24. Maud Pie is the one I relate to most. I don't quite have her monotone though.
