  1. To the moon with them! Though I know I am a tad late, I do wish to congratulate both of you on your promotions. It was only a matter of time and you both certainly deserved it. I wish you both the best of luck, as myself and the rest of the staff will be more than happy to help you guys in any way we can.
  2. About 60 tutorials/references and 600 words later, let's see if I can make this work.

  3. The subject of this topic has little potential to spark discussion between many members and, as such, would be better suited to a status update or a blog. When creating a thread, please remember that the goal is to start a conversation with room for many people to chime in and give their own viewpoints on, and that sharing events of an anecdotal nature would be better done elsewhere.
  4. Oh, philosophy! I know I have several books on the subject, so let me see what I have in my personal library here... 'How to Think About the Great Ideas' by Mortimer J. Adler 'A Brief History of the Paradox' by Roy Sorensen 'An Essay Concerning Human Understanding' by John Locke 'The Pocket Aristotle' These are the books that I could currently dig up that I own, though I still have yet to read the ones by Sorensen or Locke, so I cannot really comment on their quality. The one by Adler, however, I have had a chance to read to completion and I thought it was a very thought-provoking read, as it goes through a wide variety of topics, such as truth/knowledge/opinion, emotion, love, good/evil, beauty, law, government, art and quite a few more. If nothing else, I would highly recommend this one of only on the grounds that it is sure to have at least one section that would perk your interest. Happy reading!

Given that this is such a nice and kind gesture, however, it would be a rather shame for this gift to go undelivered and not appreciated. Rest assured that this lovely image has been delivered to Jin so that it may be given the attention and appreciation that it wholeheartedly deserves, thanks in no small part to . And, I do, would like to thank this kind artist for this, as it is always heartwarming to witness such random acts of kindness and consideration such as these.
  6. Absolutely lovely work here. Just from the warm colors used and the pose Kay is given just sings of tranquility and serenity; I feel a bit more at peace just looking at this. Though I still cannot wrap my mind on how these ponies play such instruments, whether it be woodwind or violin, it still looks good regardless. I will say that living somewhere with a bit more variety in seasons can be a welcoming change as you watch the seasons roll by. But no matter what the season, a nice rain or thunderstorm is simply relaxing and enjoyable to me for some reason. It is a rather shame that you say you only get two months of that sort of weather to enjoy.
  7. Hello ! Just so you know, I have moved your thread to the 'Show Discussion' section, as your topic would be more appropriate there, as the 'Fan Fiction' section is reserved for members to post their stories and other literary works to share with their fellow members. Also, there are already a couple of topics that already exists that discuss favorite episodes of Season 4, here and here, so please feel free to join in the conversation there. In the future, please be sure to utilize the search function to be sure that your idea fr a thread already exists before creating a new one, as this helps keep the forums neat and organized. With this in mind, this thread will now be locked. Take care!
  8. I really did enjoy this one, as this is the sort of music that I simply adore, and your remastered score captured both the mood and atmosphere of this particular scene splendidly. If nothing else, I wish it would have gone on for a bit longer. And 'corruption of a little girl's TV show?' Far from it, my friend, as you portrayed it very well, staying true to the show as well as giving it your own unique twist. If you do decide to do the Twilight vs. Tirek battle scene, I would certainly love to hear what you have in mind for it. Though you say that you feel you would not do that scene justice, you will not know until you try. And besides that, taking such risks are half the fun of such artistic creations. So, I say go for it!
  9. Hello ! Just so you know, I have moved your thread to the Creative Resources section, as it would be more appropriate there given that you are seeking advice and input on your possible story. I would have to say that if you are keen on pairing Rarity with a dragon in general, you may as well stick with Spike as he is already an established character who has a solid relationship with Rarity that you can build from. While introducing a new dragon character would give your story something a bit more unique, you would would be starting from scratch, more or less. This would require you to create a likable character from the ground up as well as providing a decent explanation as to how Rarity came across this other dragon and going into detail to how their relationship progresses,. This is certainly not an impossible task, as I am sure many other stories have done so, it would be just require a bit more work and planning if you do decide to take that route. As far as other ideas, I cannot say that I have many more as I really do not follow any sort of shipping that much so my thoughts would be worth little in that regard. Either way, I do wish you the best of luck with your writing and hope that you get the input that you wish for. Take care!
  10. I must say that these drawings of yours are quite good, and the level of detail on some of these are quite superb with my favorite thus far being the Kamen Rider Core. The way this one is drawn, from the character itself the line variation and strokes certainly adds to the dynamic of the picture and further enforces the aspect that this is an energy-based life form. One thing I must ask though if all of these drawings are done in some sort of ink pen? If so, these are even more impressive in my eyes to how clean the pictures are and how crisp the line work is, as ink is not the easiest medium to use for drawing (or, at least with my personal experience). Regardless though, I do hope to see more of your work soon and I will certainly have to look into your pony artwork thread as well. Take care!
  11. I would have to say that it definitely resembles more of Elsa than Applejack, though that is certainly not a bad thing. All she is missing is her hat, and you may have Applejack yet! The drawing itself, whether it be AJ or Elsa, is still nicely done. As Silverwisp already pointed out, the line work is clean and crisp while the shading is a nice touch that adds a bit more dimension to the picture. The only areas I would to keep in mind for the future would be the ears, as they seem just slightly too far up, and the neck is a bit long. Keep up the nice work and I do hope to see more soon. Take care!
  12. Just so you are aware @Lankman, I have merged your thread with this already existing one for the discussion of everyone's opinion of Equestria Girls and their reasons for disliking the movie. Please be sure to utilize the search function in the future. Thank you and take care.
  13. Hello ! Just so you know, there is already an ongoing thread for discussing everyone's perspective on the Equestria Girls movie here if you would be interested in joining in. In the future, please be sure to use the search function to see if your idea for discussion already exists before breating a new thread. This not only helps keep the forums a bit more organzied and tidy, but helps avoid any confusion that multiple threads tend to cause. WIth this in mind, this thread will now be locked. Take care!
  14. So, I just returned from seeing 'How to Train Your Dragon 2' and I have already purchased the soundtrack as well as the art book. What a way to end an evening.

Thank you! I really did enjoy it, though I know my wallet is not particularly fond of me at the moment. Oh well!

      Stellafera

Just saw it today, too. Peace through superior firepower... literally. ;)

So, I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess that it was awesome? As a fan of the first one, I am eager to go and see it in 3D. That might be on the agenda for my weekend. xP

  15. I am neither an expert in Steampunk nor electronics of any kind, though I will admit that I find both the concept and the art I have seen in a Steampunk theme are rather intriguing. Goggles, top hats and gears galore, there is just something about it that draws my attention. Though I will admit that jumping into something as possibly complex as drawing robotics and other such similar subject matter seems rather large leap, you seem to be heading in the right direction thus far. Honestly, with this genre, the only limitation seems to be one's imagination. The sketches you have here do give a basic idea of what you are trying to portray, and the next step to illustrate your ideas further is to try showing the object from different perspectives (for example, show the eye in a profile and 3/4 view to show off more of the design). This can also give you ideas a bit more life to them. I would like to hear more about what ideas you have for the combustion engine as well. And I must say that for a first attempt at drawing a human, it came out remarkably well and far better than what I could produce at my first stab at it. Proportions are nearly spot in, with the exception of the one arm being a tad short, you seem to have a decent grasp of the human form. I do like the idea of the leg brace and I hope you attempt a more detailed version so we can see more of what you have in mind for this. Perhaps you can just do a close up drawing of a leg for that one? My apologizes that I could not provide a lot of insight on this one, but I do hope to see more of your Steampunk ideas soon as I am certainly interested in what you have right now. Best of luck to you and take care!
  16. Both Amazon and Toywiz seem to have the set that you have pictured, but it will run you about $40-$50 for either site. Alternatively, you could try Target and see if they have it in stock on site as it is not currently available online.
  17. Alright then, it seems that this has been taken care of so I will go ahead and lock this thread. I am glad to hear that everything was resolved Baltoist.
  18. I will concur that though Discord can be a haphazard mess to try to draw, it is also quite fun at the same time. And Discord would not be the same without Fluttershy, so of course she has to be there somewhere! Anyway, nicely done with these little doodles here. Other than what mentioned about Discord's arm in the first drawing as well as one of his eye brows being slightly too large and perhaps a little more attention to Fluttershy's tail, these are quite well drawn. The line work is solid, the overall pictures are crisp and clean and you captured both Discord and Fluttershy splendidly. Keep up the good work and I do hope to see more of these doodles soon. Take care!
  19. As both links to these works have been removed, this thread seems to have run its course and will now be locked.
  20. This thread appears to be some manner of random (but strangely enjoyable) nonsense, or something spammy of the sort. Thus, it has been sentenced to the Forum Lounge section of Cloudsdale Colosseum.
  21. This thread appears to be related to the My Little Pony franchise and/or the Bronydom in general. Thus, it has been sentenced to Sugarcube Corner.
  22. Hello! There is actually already a thread discussing this exact topic here if you wish to join in on the conversation. In the future, please be sure to utilize the search function to be sure that your idea for a thread already exists before creating a new one. This helps not only keep the forums tidy and organized but deters any confusion that multiple threads can cause. Take care!

  24. Hello @Gourgeist! Just so you know, I have moved your thread to the Creative Resources section, as it would be more appropriate there since you are asking for ideas on an ongoing project. As far as what you can make from those colors, you have quite a few options since you have such a decent array of hues to choose from. For pokemon, off the top of my head, you can do something such as diglett, gangar, torchic, lucario, sandshrew as well as a bunch of others. For Nintendo enemies and bad guys, Ridley from the Metroid series was the first thing I thought of when I say the purple, though that may be a tad too complicated and the same thing could be said about Bowser as well. Still, I do believe you have plenty of options and I do wish you the best of luck with this. Take care!
  25. Hello @Funpony! Just so you know, the Welcoming Plaza serves as an your introduction to the community by telling everyone a little bit about yourself. And Golden Cross is quite right that your post would be best in the MLP:FiM Gameloft Thread. Just click the blue link that I have provided in the last sentence and it will take you directly to the thread. And, by the way, welcome to the forums! I know that a new community can be quite confusing, so if you ever have any issues or questions, feel free to contact myself and or just about anyone on here (as we are quite a friendly bunch) and we will try to help you as best as we can. In the meantime, here is a Resource Map for the forums lists each section of the forums as well as explain what sort of threads and discussions belong in each. For now, this thread will now be lock (which means that no further posts can be made in here), as you already seem to have a welcome thread and that this discussion is best suited to the existing Gameloft thread. Take care!
