I cannot say that I am any sort of writer, but to me, a good and compelling story starts with a good and well-rounded character, as this provides a decent step in investment and interest from the reader's perspective. Another necessity is figuring out what sort of story you wish to tell and brainstorm ideas on how that can be accomplished. Start with a basic premise and work outward from there, adding. more details and depth into your narrative. As I said, I'm no writing, so I'm sure there are many more proficent artists in that field that can provide you with more substantial advice. Best of luck and take care!

Actually, we have quite an extensive League of Legends thread here if you'd care to join in on the discussion there, so i'm sure you'll have no trouble finding some new friends to exchange summoner names and play with. Alright gamers of MLP Forums, game nights are coming back and in a brand new way! As many of you are aware, we had quite a few active and regular gaming nights maintained by the fine folks in PArc through our Steam servers, with a game of Team Fortress 2, Minecraft, and other such fun community games. Though recently there have been server issues, It is our hope to get them back online soon to make these events a normal occurrence once again, as well as possibly expanding upon it. With PC gaming being already well established within PArc and Poniverse with much of the community taking part in the fun and festivities, there may be just as many members who simply don’t have a computer that is up to par to participate (myself included). In an effort to get more of the community involved with future game night events, we are considering the addition of online console gaming to the list of possibilities. Before anything can move forward, however, it is essential to see if there would be enough interest in the idea by gaining a consensus on which console(s) would be best to consider. In the poll above, please be sure to select any consoles that you currently own with the consideration of online play. Keep in mind that since these would be community events, games that would be are team-based and/or sandbox-style games would be the ones most considered to be sure that as many members as possible can participate. Though this would include the normal fare of Halo, Battlefield, Call of Duty and so forth, we are also still open to any suggestions that anyone may have, so please be sure to share any other games that you’d be interested in seeing. As always, if there are any questions that anyone may have, please be sure to share them freely. Though this is still in the very early stages of planning and everything has not been established, we will do our best to address any question that you may have. Take care and game on!

When seeking any sort of help, advice or input on an ongoing artistic/imaginative project, this section would be the ideal place to start. This topic does not contain artwork that was created by the topic owner. Octavia's Hall is a place for showing off artwork and other creative mediums that you, the poster, have made. Memes, pony generator images, artwork that was not created by the thread owner and alike do not belong in this forum. They are significantly more suitable being posted in places such as status updates, blogs or the forum lounge.

I'm no music expert, so I unfortunately cannot give a decent critique that I think everyone deserves, but I will say that I did find myself enjoying this. Very ambient and relaxing. I honestly found myself bobbing my head slightly in beat with the music, which is always a good sign in my book! I also like the idea of seeing the changelings in a different perspective, opposed to the chaos and terror that they can cause, to show their softer and more tranquil side. As for your OC, you could always make a thread in the Creative Resources section to gain further input and opinions from other members in regards to choosing a name. You'd be surprised with the types of suggestions that can be brought up with some that you may not have considered otherwise. Regardless, I do hope to see more of your work in the future! I could take a swing at it. At the very least, it'll give me a chance to practice with a new style. Did you want anything particular as far as pose, expression etc? Either way, it should be fun! Also, would it be an issue if I'll only be able to do this with traditional mediums?

Actually, you can post PMVs and other such fan-made videos in the 'Other Fan Works' section in Octvaia's Hall. That is one of the main functions of OH in general is to allow members to post their work so that they can receive feedback and constructive criticism from their fellow members and improve upon their craft. As it currently stands, any fanmade content that does not fit in the Fan Art, Fan Music and Fan Fiction sections would be place in the Other Fan Works section. This, of course, would include anything from PMVs, games, plushies and other such artistic projects. Perhaps implementing the prefix system similar to the one used in the Non-Fan Art section may help as this would create clear distinctions in threads with different works of art/mediums that art posted. There is also the tagging system as well, which can be quite useful (when used) in helping members find specific content based on which tags the OP used in their thread. If you don't mind me asking though, what is it with the current set up that may discourage video makers and other similar artists from posting? If there is a way to correct this, I would be more than happy to hear any suggestions on this and try to proceed with any necessary changes if feasible. Of course there is always the idea of looking into creating a Fan Video section, but that would have be looked into further.
