  1. Perhaps it's a new rule, created to help solve the problem caused by Best Night ever.
  2. so i was listening to music, and I started wagging my finger like some kind of old-timie cartoon character...

      You're welcome =P lol

  3. Sounds interesting. I'd like to apply for Hum Drum using my OC Gold Standard: https://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/gold-standard-r8340
  4. Gold Standard
  5. The only two characters in disney's animated canon that have the same name are chip from chip and dale, and chip the teacup from beauty and the beast.
  6. My dog seems to like the music of Rebecca Sugar. I have a dog with good tastes.

  7. Okay, crazy theory time. I believe it's a spell designed to change ones destiny. Imagine the following: Starswirl is approached by his future self, who reveals that he is slowly dying of an incurable disease, and that it is his destiny to die. Before he can continue explaining, Future starswirl is teleported back to his own time. Present Starswirl then begins to experiment to change his destiny, but something prevents the spell from working. Mere hours before his death, he recieves a vision from a twilight sparkle far in the future, who reveals that his death is unfortunate, but necessary. If Starswirl never dies, his student Celestia can never become master, which would prevent Twilight from making friends. As such, the spell is blocked by the magic of friendship. Realizing he's wasted his last months, he attempts to go back in time to prevent himself from wasting that time, which kicks off the entire thing.
  8. More wishes But seriously: 1. To teleport instantly to any place that I want to, including different times and even fictional worlds. 2. To have a pocket that holds a nearly, but not actually, infinitie pocket dimension that holds no life, but does contain the exact currency (including correct time period, geographic location, and in the largest unit that I need). 3. To have psychic paper, as from doctor who, that says whatever I want it to. Come to think of it, I could make do with only the third one
  9. I did.. sort of. Applejack and I are both hardworkers, but while she always does things the hard way, I chose to work smarter, not harder.
  10. I just came on to post this. You beat me by three minutes lol
  11. I want to review the latest epsiode, but I just can't seem to get the energy -_-

  12. One Piece, due to the themes of friendship. Star Wars, due to the themes of redemption and friendship, and how world building is handled. (We're given bits and pieces of a larger world).
  13. I really don't think MLP should last forever, as it always ends badly. Look at the Simpsons....
  14. I don't have a problem with them, in theory. I think that it can make the character seem more interesting. That being said, I have to add a few qualifiers: 1. They have to reasonably work within the confines of the universe. To elaborate: Princess Celestia and Princess Luna are the only two known natural Alicorns. The other two became alicorns by earning it. As such, it's better to have your character earn being one, rather than being another 'long-lost brother/sister/niece/nephew' of the sisters. 2. They must be creative. This means no "Princess of Dusk" or "Princess of Relationships" or something like that. If you're going to make a new alicorn, actually make a new alicorn, not just a rehash of Luna. 3. There must be a story. A character should not just be an alicorn because you want them to be an alicorn, they should be one because it makes sense for the character. This means they have to work for it, and earn it. Look back over your character's story: If there's no reason for them to be an alicorn, they shouldn't be one.
  15. Well, this is going to be difficult, considering he is a breezie.... (I'm imagining a sort of joke character) Fighting Strategy: Incredibly fast with good specials, but extremely fragile. Pros: High special Damage, High Speed, small hit box. Cons: Weak normal attacks, Low HP Specials: Stone Cold is a story teller, and as such uses magic to attack with story telling tools. Everyone Makes Mistakes: Fires a comically sized eraser at the opponent Slay the Dragon: Illusion forms the outline of a dragon around the opponent, then charges towards them. (High damage w/ delay) Final Draft: Stamp appears hovering in foreground of the stage, before slamming into background. If opponent is hit, they are briefly immobilized. Normal Moves: A: Pollen Dust (Flutters pollen at opponent) B: Pencil strike (Stabs with pencil) C: Inspirational Jolt (Fires small blast of magic) Super Combo/Finisher: The Pen Is Mightier: Forms Giant Pencil hovering over opponent, which slams down. Taunt: "You're more of a magazine pony, aren't you?" Music: Graceful Ghost Rag Stage: Library (Specifically in front of the bookshelf he calls home) Story / Anything else: Born in a small town, Stone Cold became fascinated with the art of story telling. He now travels the world, searching for the next great thing in media.
  16. Of course not. As others have already said, MLP has several glaring holes: The characters are round, but not dynamic. To elaborate, while the characters may be deep, they don't change/grow much throughout the series. Plot. Many episodes have had interesting concepts, but the episode itself falls flat, usually do to poor pacing. Continuity. The show frequently has events that contradict other events, and oftentimes, characters learning the same lessons several times over. This being said, the show is still quite good, and I do enjoy it. No show is flawless, but they can still be considered good.
  17. I'm cautiously optimistic. On one hand, this is an imporant milestone for the show, and I believe the cast and crew of mlp are talented enough to tell a good story, even with all the predicted homages to the fandom. On the other hand, I realize there's no way they'll be able to make everyone happy, no matter how hard they try. As such, I'm just going to strap in and enjoy the ride.
  18. The Total Drama series. Yeah, the comedy can be bland or predictable, but that theme song just forces me to wear my nostalgia shades.
  19. Probably Applejack. As I've said before, someone needs to talk some sense into that pony's business choices!
  20. I've played Shadowrun, GURPS, and new World of Darkness, but mostly pathfinder. Of course, I've been doing this with my best friends, who just so happen to be a bunch of good-for-nothing min-maxing, optimizing, munchkins. (not that I'm any better ) Now that I've taken over as DM, I'm trying to help them roleplay, as opposed to rollplay.
  21. Honestly... no. MLP does slice of life well. Amazingly, in fact. Part of what makes the adventure episodes so interesting is that they are a departure from the average episode. If every episode was an 'adventure' episode, they just wouldn't have the same episode. Also, considering this is set in the mystical world of equestria, even slice of life episodes can still hold adventure aspects. (I point to episodes such as "Spike at your Service" and "Somepony to watch over me", both of which are slice of life, and both of which feature monsters of the week.)
  22. It has occurred to me, but the more I think about it, the more I think about how much I don't care. Yes, it's about multi-colored horses learning the values of friendship, but it's also about complex characters developing in a rich and interesting world, filled with dangers and mysteries.
  23. I'm now a parasprite? Well, golly gee, looks like I've been posting here more than I realized

  24. Not sure how odd this is, but I like tall women and short hair.
  25. No, all of my teeth are chalky and tasteless Seriously though, yes, very much so. I love sweets, especially Twix and 3 musketeers. Oh, and pancakes, I really do like pancakes. (Not Waffles though, oddly enough)
