(and that's canon) ~ I hate the idea of Twilicorn, i didn't seem as negative about it at first, but now more than ever, I despise it. The whole "hurr hurr, trust the writers" crap too, if for the so very famous sells they decided to make the whole Mane 6 Alicorns, of course, the ones in the fandom who'll eat up anything with the word pony on it will support and again post "lel trust the writers." Is it wrong to have faith that the writers will do a good job? No. What is wrong is expecting everyone to think the same way. I liked MLP for being about friends, they'd have sleepovers, and babysit and make dresses, that seemed like an awesome show, not because doing that stuff was interesting, but the way it was delivered was. Remember those jokes from the first season? What happened to those? One of my favorite scenes was when Fluttershy was "spring cleaning" the library during Summer, or when Pinkie was in the hot air balloon talking with Spike about Hot Dogs or when that scene in the train when they were heading to Appleloosa. The show was meant for little kids, but the charm of it was what got me to watch it, not the "Epic super dark adventures where they have to save Equestria." The reason the show got this amount of attention was because of that first season, the writers weren't aiming the show at us, they were aiming it at little kids, my 6 year old brother doesn't even understand the plot of the episodes, he'll wind up asking me "what's going on now?" every 5 minutes. I don't even hate the idea of Twilicorn, the way it was delivered was horrible. I could say i even loved the idea, I'd read fanfics about it, and I wouldn't be bothered by them because i didn't think of them being bad. One of them was just Twilight waking up as an Alicorn, consulting Celestia about it, Celestia talking about a prophecy of a third sister to be royalty. There was two endings for it, one where Twilight lives seeing her friends pass away, and the other one, a more "fair" one in my opinion, that as the friendship wielders they also become immortal. I hated the Season 3 finale, no, I hated the whole season, every single episode. I still do hope for the best, and that Season 4 will hopefully make up for the finale. But i doubt that now that she's a princess it'll be like the old episodes of friends learning about friendship, which is what the series was about in the first place. I'd like the Finale to be that Twilight grows away from her friends, villain attacks, they can't use the elements of harmony, they have to bond or something along those lines to save the day. I doubt they'd turn her back into a unicorn, it'd make things even worse s:

Maybe if they did something Alicorn-worthy one'd be an Alicorn? Instead of saying that they should be, pitch on ideas about what they could do to achieve Alicorn-hood :v

I like the place better than this forum. I like the discussions there, and the threads more, I spend more time there than in the forums too, and no, it is not full of Rule 34 (it is there, however, i dont mind it much), and whoever says they have "unintelligent discussions" are just getting it from the crap they hear from others and the Pony thread simulators (which are meant to poke fun at the board, not to make it look like it's full of idiots) I still consider the forums my internet "home" because I've met most my friends here, but i like the /mlp/ board too much for my own good :3

It didn't convince me on why Hasbro needs more money, sure, if the company is going downhill and they might have to cease production of more toys so they don't go bankrupt, I'd understand, but they're in 2nd place, they're making EqG to get back in the lead.

Soooo, I was going through the /mlp/ board on 4chan. A thread came up titled "Why we need Equestria Girls" with a screen cap of a post on Reddit explaining why Hasbro made Equestria girls. It talks about the controversy between Hasbro and Mattel, and how Hasbro is the "underdog" because Dolls for girls are in demand, and Mattel has gained lead thanks to Barbie, Monster High, and American Girl. The post goes on and on, basically repeating the same thing over and over, and then it reaches the TL;DR which i quote "TL:DR; Mattel owns Barbie, Monster High and American Girl. Hasbro wants their own line of dolls, so we're stuck with Equestria Girls. My hope is that the humanized versions of MLP are able to revitalize the stagnant genre of Highschool drama. Hopefully, this new series will cause people to change their perspectives, in a similar fashion to how Friendship is Magic redefined what cartoon shows for little girls could be." What i got out of this is "Hasbro is getting butthurt by competition so it goes to fuck some shit up in an attempt to gain lead" So after this article my opinion and perspective of EqG changed. I am for sure it was for the Toy Sales, it always was, MLP itself was made for the Toy Sales, does that make it bad? No. What does make it bad is the effort put into this. Making an animated movie isn't easy, and does require effort, and while i still haven't watched it (but i will watch it as soon as it airs) I honestly don't expect anything better than the series. Honestly, if you've seen me talk about how much i hated Season 3, well, I expect the movie to be worse than it, especially after those leaked images, eugh, that Celestia and Luna s:

Oh god no. This just got worse, i really didn't mind EqG, I said "Writers trying something new? Okay" Instead there's the same thing we get in every episode "oh no, twilight, save equestria again" Now it's worse with "Save a parallel universe we could care less about" plot, Sunshit Shimmers is now a demon, because they're trying to target an older audience, which is stupid to begin with. So we get the same thing as always, with crappy looking designs, and with the school drama. Fuck this. :3

Will an episode about Sleepovers be boring? Will an episode about making dresses be boring? Will an episode about babysitting be boring? Will an episode about a wedding be boring? If someone told you those were some of the episodes from MLP, would you watch them? Don't call it boring until you see it, saying "oh this'll be boring" without even knowing if it'll happen or not, or what will happen. Not saying that you have to watch it, just don't jump to assumptions.

Listen. There's idiots in both sides of this thing. If you wanna join the idiots in this side, be my guest, i wont stop you. I don't care about the whole love and tolerance crap either, because you know what works better? "Ignoring the shit out of them" It works like a charm.

I keep saying that too, not in this thread at least, but i agree with him. I loved her arrogant personality, while people might not agree with me, that's what got us to love her in the first place, i love it when i see characters develop and mature over the series, but seriously, all that sudden love and maturity came out of nowhere, literally, no where
