CUTIE MARK: a Pegasus head looking left, unicorn head in the middle and earth pony head looking right HOBBIES: trying to escape his interdimensional prison HISTORY: he is the first pony, progenitor of all equine life on terra. after he went mad and his personalities split he was locked in the void by his alicorn children, but not before he killed almost all of them.

WELCOME TO CELESTIA'S SCHOOL OF MAGIC! this is where you can post theories, debate headcanons, discuss science and magic in the mlp universe, inquire on the origins of equestria, argue the divine nature of alicorns, predict the future, seek the knowledge of the universe ect ect ect. if you don't know the difference then let me explain, theories are ideas though not proven have a basis in the show and a possibility of becoming canon, headcanons are ideas that though they have a basis in the show they have a low chance of becoming canon and have very little to no evidence supporting them. ill start this thread off with some of my own theories and headcanons which you are welcome to debate if you wish. THEORIES 1. the alternate timelines in cutie remark are now alternate universes thanks to starlight and twilight messing with the time stream. the tree of harmony and the map are connected to each of the created universes. when you go back in time to fix some thing and succeed then there never would have been anything to fix in the first place, the multiverse then creates a alternate universe where you did not succeed in your quest. 2. twilight has unlimited magical potential evidenced by her cutie mark being the very symbol of magic displayed upon the element of magic, she will eventually be the most powerful pony in equestria. 3. changelings are a dark offshoot of the alicorn race. there deformity probably came from turning to dark magic and symbiosis is how they keep there immortality. 4. unicorns use math in magic spells, as evidenced by all the different equations twilight is constantly drawing on her chalk board. magic is inextricably entwined with telekinesis and quantum physics, except for emotional magic. 5. starlights cutie mark is nullification magic, as evidenced by her ability to steal cutie marks and dampen twilights magical ability to put them on even ground in the cutie remark HEADCANONS 1. the tree of harmony is a mystic lock keeping some ancient evil from invading the world. the only way the lock will open is if the balance of harmony is shifted and there is more evil than good, because the tree of harmony is now connected to more evil universes than good as of the cutie remark. the tree will open soon and whatever is lurking beneath will burst out. 2. tartarus was created by the consciousness of the great evil that is locked up by the tree of harmony. I hope to see the finest minds in equestria enter CELESTIA'S SCHOOL OF MAGIC. I hope we can work together to make great breakthroughs in all things mlp. debates are encouraged.

all friendships matter as without friendship the tree of harmony would turn into a tree of disharmony, but the mane 6 friendship is the most important and there is nothing wrong with that. the mane 6 are the elements of friendship and twilight is magic itself, she is the nexus point of all magic in the universe, thus anything she is a part of is important. if the cmc split up whats the worst thing that could happen. the mane 6 are the most important ponies thus there friendship is the most important.

actually alternate universes were created in the finale, let me explain. AHEM. each time someone travels back in time to stop something a paradox is made, for if the thing you went back in time to stop never happened in the first place you never would have went back in time, that is the paradox. in order for the multiverse to repair itself a separate universe is created where the events you went back in time to stop are left unchecked, this law of time traveling has been used in marvel comics and other media for quite awhile. according to this theory, each time twilight stopped one of those futures from coming to pass a new universe was created where the villain was left unchallenged. SCIENCE!

because she knew twilight was magic personified, and if she was not led down the right path dark things could happen. she probably also was trying to make up for luna.

because the map was in every alternate universe created by starlights time traveling. the map was a creation of the tree, thus the tree must have been there, or is at least connected to each universe. also just because you cant see the tree does not mean its not there. the tree may be dormant and underground in certain universes. theory undebunked

equestria is like asgard. sure there are other lands but there basically all controlled by asgard, the same goes for equestria.

I have heard people say that they think celestia should go bad, well what if celestia, luna and cadence went bad at the same time! you may wonder why any of them would go evil. I think the only way for any of them to go bad would be for a more powerful villain to be pulling the strings from the shadows, perhaps the movie villain. this is my idea for that villain PROTOSIPPOS THEOS (first pony god) protosippos has 3 heads, earth pony, Pegasus and unicorn. he also has wings and is 100 feet tall. HISTORY in the beginning there was magic, and from this magic was born the universe. from the chaos came forth protosippos, the first pony. from his very essence he brought forth his children, the earth ponies inherited his strength, the Pegasus his wings and the unicorns his magic, over them he set the alicorns, made in his very image. other creatures were born upon the same day that were not his, they were the dragons. wise and powerful the dragons lived in the mountains far from the ponies. one day protosippos called fafnir, the wisest of dragons, to come tell him his future. fafnir told the god that a race of his descendants would bring about his imprisonement. enraged by this protosippos slew almost all dragons which is why there are not many today. protosippos grew paranoid, his heads which were usually in total agreement could not decide which of there descendants would imprison them, thus the gods personalities split. each of his personalities chose a race, then they sent them to war! the earth ponies followed terrason( the left head) the Pegasus followed Pegasus (the right head) and the unicorns followed lord karkadann (the middle head). the alicorns looked down from alicron(there homeworld) and saw the war. some alicorns wanted to stop the war while a few wanted to join the destruction. the evil alicorns were weakened, destroyed and banished, these were the progenitors of the changelings. the remaining alicorns attacked there father in his weakened state, the battle raged, the magic of there gods fell like blood upon the earth and imbued certain beings with intelligence, this is how griffons and other intelligent races came to be. the alicorns won and imprisoned his 3 personalities in a reality behind there own, thus fulfilling the prophecy. to keep him imprisoned the alicorns gave there remaining strength to create the tree of harmony, a inter universal lock, which could only open if evil outweighed good in the universe, they then died. millennia later starswirl sensed protosippos stirring, and has been keeping him asleep ever since. MOTIVATIONS as terrason he wants to destroy all Pegasus and unicorns, along with every race created in the battle of the gods as Pegasus he wants to destroy all earth ponies and unicorns, along with every race created in the battle of the gods as lord karkadann he wants to destroy all earth ponies and Pegasus as well as every race created in the battle of the gods. as Protosippos theos he wishes for vengeance on all alicorns and the destruction of every race created in the battle of the gods, he wishes to rule as a benevolent god over equestrian as he did in the days of old. HOW HE COULD BE USED IN THE SHOW/MOVIE protosippos could break out and inhabit the bodies of the princesses, turning them evil and giving them immense power. if his personalities were fused into one again, he could take physical form. I hope he is voiced by james spader please post your thoughts on this guy! I wanna know how everypony would feel about this. apparently sunset shimmer was created on the forums before being on the show, I hope the first pony god can make it to tv to.lord willing will update later how I believe his imprisonment could actually be near its end!

magic and science can both be understood and even combined. I think magic in equestria, though it does have things that seemingly cant be explained like how friendship can defeat bad guys, is also partly quantum mechanics.

twilight is the element of magic, meaning magic is her and she is magic. she has the potential to harness as much magic as she desires and use it for whatever she wishes. most likely she will not master her power until the show ends because if she did no villain would stand a chance.

the tree of harmony is magic itself! the tree reflects the multiverse around it. in my studies I have stumbled upon disturbing knowledge not for the faint of heart! as of the events of the season 5 finale there are more chaotic universes than harmonic. because the tree exists simultaneously in all these universes at the same time,it is thusly effected by all of them as well. this means that the tree is in great danger of either becoming a tree of disharmony or being destroyed!

I was like you, one of many who,( though i loved the episode) was confused as to how starlight managed to stalemate twilight in a battle of magic. here is the answer! I always think of spike as part of the main 6. i actually thought that twilight becoming an alicorn was awesome and needed to be done, but i think many people including myself, fear she might be taking twilights place. i have never been angry at this show but if she takes twilights place and is shown to be more powerful or have more magic potential i will be angry. twilight is the element of magic, destined to be the most powerful pony in equestria and shes a alicorn! i would be fine if starlight glimmer is a secondary character like discord as i do not hate her as a character, i just want here used correctly.

in season 5 we heard twilight talk about eastern equestria magic as being different than the magic she learned. would you wanna see twily learn this new magic in season 6 and if so, what kind of magic should it be. here are some ideas. RUNES! runes are mainly used for enchanting items but can be used for most all purposes. this could be a more dark and brutal magic than we have seen in the show, but im sure the writers could make it suitable for children. runes were not only used for enchanting, they could be used in battle as well. Vikings would use runes and meditation to enter a berserker rage where they were practically invulnerable, this magic could be used for good or evil in the show. who wants to see some berserk ponies! EGYPTIAN MAGIC! who wouldn't wanna see some mummified ponies and a sphinx or two! though Egyptian magic is a lot like equestrian magic it has some differences, most notably its deep rooting in the afterlife. zombies and mummies could be introduced to the show with this magic. DJINN! sandstorms and alchemy, Arabian magic would be awesome. this magic would revolve a lot around alchemy, like what zecora does. we could also see some djinn ponies. ORIENTAL MAGIC! dragons and chi. i know it may seem funny to see our favourite ponies karate hoofing bad guys butthis magic would actually be a great fit for the show. as equestrian magic is very scientific oriental magic is more about feeling and going with the flow. everypony was kung fu fighting! if you have any ideas for new magic or just wanna voice your opinion on my ideas please post thoughts.
