  1. The Fifth Element They were showing it on the big screen for the 20th anniversary (can't believe it's that old).
  2. Took this earlier, before work took its toll on me:
  3. There's are tons of good local places near me. One bar called Lucioso's does interesting specialties, like a Big Mac pizza with pickles and Thousand Island dressing (and I can never get people to agree if it's amazing or disgusting).
  4. Interesting to see this thread becoming popular in May. Babes in Toyland (The Disney version and the Laurel and Hardy version) A Charlie Brown Christmas A Christmas Carol (give another vote to the Patrick Stewart version) A Christmas Story Christmas Vacation Home Alone How the Grinch Stole Christmas It's a Wonderful Life A Muppet Christmas Carol The Nightmare Before Christmas Scrooged The Rankin-Bass specials are also a guilty pleasure.
  5. Between the several-month voyage with potential exposure to cosmic rays, an incomplete knowledge of the effects of microgravity on the human body, and a 3-21 minute delay when browsing Earth internet memes, I don't think I'd make it. Hell, I'd probably panic just getting in the rocket. As much as I think colonizing Mars is an essential step to humanity's survival, it's probably not for me. Or at least, I wouldn't be one of the first.
  6. I've taken the political compass test a few times in the past. I know I'm very libertarian, but the other axis varies - I'm neither strongly capitalist nor socialist. At any rate, I'm not a fan of mainstream politics in my country.
  7. I finished high school and have a tech certificate. The few college courses I took drove me to panic attacks, and I never finished a degree. But I've worked about five years at a sign shop and I'm somewhat financially stable, so I'm not too broken up about it.
  8. It was overcast and raining for about a week. But the sun's out this morning and I got to take a walk.
  9. There are times when I feel like an episode didn't live up to its potential. But I think on average, each season has given me something new, whether it's a well-crafted episode, an engaging new character, or an interesting arc/theme for the season. There are series where I've grown to dread any new episode, but I'm not there with FIM yet.
  10. Around 9 to 11 usually. I lost my tolerance for staying up past midnight sometime in high school.
  11. I don't think it applies to the show, though, since those deer just seem like animals. Which is a shame, because ever since the fanfic "It's a Dangerous Business", I was a fan of the idea of all hooved species being sentient.
  12. I don't mind. I like Twilight, but in a show with such a large supporting cast, it's nice to see a variety of characters in the spotlight.
  13. There's a seasonal general store about a quarter mile from my house. As for my town's many grocery stores and half-full strip malls, the nearest is only about a mile away.
