  1. "Oh well...my man card was revoked a long time ago, might as well check this out. Wow, is the whole show as corny as this intro sequence?" A few episodes later: "I love this!!!"
  2. Well, it's just like her to rush into things. What would I do if she kissed me? I would freeze up and be totally freaked out. I'd wonder what the hell a cartoon character is doing here, why a thrill-seeker like Rainbow Dash would go for a boring nerd like me, and how weird I must be for feeling this way about an animated pony. And then I would kiss her back anyway.
  3. Not at all! It's not something I'm really into, like those disturbing pictures of Pinkie being a serial killer or weird fan fiction where the ponies die or commit suicide. And I wasn't even particularly taken with My Little Dashie, well written as it was...but I respect your right to enjoy the darker side. Love and tolerance, you know?
  4. I love MLP because it's the best kids' cartoon show since the 90's. It has great characters that you immediately identify with and care about, different species or not. It doesn't assume kids are dummies who need to be spoon-fed everything. It doesn't try too hard to be clever. It has no agenda other than encouraging friendship, love and tolerance. It has relevant humor without distracting pop culture references. And most importantly...Rainbow Dash is awesome. Rainbow is a pony, therefore ponies are awesome. My Little Pony features ponies, therefore the show is awesome. And I'm here hanging out with all of you because of the show, therefore we are all awesome. So really it all traces back to Rainbow. xD
  5. I don't want to label Twilight as anything in particular, but I'll list some things I've noticed about her... --She is very businesslike and needs to be right all the time. --She's afraid of being criticized or rejected by others. --She doesn't like showing off her abilities. --She wants to do everything "by the book" and gets upset or uncomfortable when things don't go exactly as she plans. I'm a lot like Twilight. Maybe that's why I love her so much.
  6. I'm not sure...something about labeling our beloved ponies with real-world mental disorders feels wrong to me. But I'll throw out a few thoughts. Pinkie Pie, crazy? Crazy like a fox, I say. I think there's more to her than meets the eye. Pinkie knows what she wants, and her seemingly random ideas or fantasies usually go back to that. She wants to have fun and share her excitement with others at all costs. She has a short attention span, more energy than she knows what to do with and a fantastically vivid imagination. She is in love with life and constantly looking for more stimulation. Not in the same way as Rainbow Dash, who loves competition and adrenaline highs, but the two of them could definitely relate. I love the episode where she and Dash team up to pull pranks on everypony. And where she pretty clearly was leading Gilda on when the gryphon blamed her for all those jokes at the party that were actually Rainbow's ideas. I wouldn't be surprised if Pinkie suggested them to her beforehand.
  7. Interesting question. I picked "until she was asked, then she'd crack." Now that you bring it up, I'd really like to see an episode where Twilight has to keep a secret from Celestia. I wonder what Celestia's keeping from HER. I never have trusted that princess. Where is she? What's she doing all day? Has she ever solved any problems in her own kingdom? I can imagine how the citizens of Ponyville might feel. "Hmmm, something weird or dangerous is rampaging into town again and the princess and her stallions are nowhere to be found...but that's okay, because we can always count on these SIX RANDOM CITIZENS!"
  8. Pinkie Pie. Not because she has the best singing voice, but because her songs are the funniest. And that pose at the end of "evil enchantress" just immortalized her.
  9. Stuff like this is partly why I don't use Facebook. I don't like the idea of my pictures or personal life being out there for anybody to see. I also fully support any teacher who confiscates cell phones when they ring or when a student gets caught using it in class. I can't believe kids actually complain about this, nor do I believe any kid under 12 or 13 needs their own cell. When I was in school we had REAL problems to complain about. Like teachers who were so mean they made the kids cry.
  10. The net brings us many great things (like MLP Forums of course), but it bugs us sometimes too. Here are a few things on the Internet that I can do without. 1. Facebook. Everybody talks about how great it is. I had an account for a month and then closed it. It just didn't interest me. I know some people just love it, and it's reunited long-lost family members and good stuff like that, but the appeal is lost on me. 2. Twitter. For folks whose obsession with reporting on every insignificant detail of their lives is too great even for Facebook, there is Twitter. 3. The Youtube comment pages. I look through these hoping to see some people's interesting thoughts on the clip I've just watched...but for every user who contributes something, you get a bunch of them who have no idea what they're talking about or trolls who bring up racism, religion or neo-nazis just to start an argument. 4. The following words/phrases: meme, trope, lolwut, hater and epic fail. I don't even know what a "meme" is, but I know an annoying word when I hear one. MEEEEEEME. Ugh. According to some people, MLP is a meme. Funny, I thought it was a TV show.
  11. Banned for doing such a poor Applejack impression.
  12. 1. What would you do if Pinkie Pie bit you? --Shove a cupcake in her mouth and say "if you're so hungry, eat this." 2. What would you do if Sweetie Belle had a grenade? --Run. But I'd run from anyone who had a grenade. 3. What would you do if you were watching MLP and the mane 6 came out of the screen? --Be the happiest person in the world. I'd be friends with all of them and love them forever. Rarity could do some interior decorating on my apartment. Fluttershy would love my dog, and vice versa. I've got books galore, so Twilight would be happy. Rainbow would be harder to please, since there's not much room to run around in my place. Maybe I'd show her my music collection. (Bet you her favorite band is Cloudkicker.) Applejack could kick my annoying neighbors. Then Pinkie Pie and me would gorge ourselves on sweets. 4. Do you think Spike should grow a mustache? --No, it wouldn't look right on him. 5. QUICK! A wild Squirtle appeared. You have 1 pony ball. What do you do? --Ignore the Squirtle and use the pony ball to catch a pony instead. 6. What would you do if you saw Rainbow Dash spying on you in the shower? --Say "sorry, I'm not a horse. Even if it looks that way." 7. What would you do if Applejack didn't make you breakfast? --I would be very unsurprised and proceed to have a normal day. 8. Ponies or all the money in the world? --Eventually the makers of MLP will have all our money in the world because the show is that awesome, so...ponies. ^^ 9. What would you do if Fluttershy was playing Skyrim? --Start her out with something that's easier to play with hooves, like DDR. 10. What would you do if Twilight had a nightmare and wanted to sleep in your bed with you tonight? --I'd say yes, and read to her until she fell asleep.
  13. You guys hear that album with Metallica and Lou Reed? TOTALY MEDUL, DOOOODZ! ...No. But seriously, this one should put a little hair on our collective chest (so women use caution)...Something ALWAYS go wrong when I try to embed a Youtube video. I can count on my fingers the amount of times I've successfully done it. So just in case, here's a link.
  14. I walk on eggshells everywhere I go, so I'm used to it. Very well, Zoop. As a new member I shall follow these rules to the utmost and leave my many, many volumes of graphic pony romance fan fiction at home. (Well, as soon as I write them.) I don't see why anyone would post sexual images, though. We watch the show for the plot, remember?
  15. I have seen copies of that ridiculous book all over the shelves at my work. If you are willing, Crona, I would like to offer you a deal. I'll burn all the original copies and replace them with your far more entertaining version. No need to pay me--the biggest lulz I've had in days were enough of a reward.
  16. I know what you mean. The ponies were all I could think about yesterday. Ponies playing football. Ponies saving the world. Ponies playing the ponies. Or just being ponies. Is there a limit to how many times you can say the word "ponies" in a post about ponies? Maybe it's insensitive to talk so much about ponies to an admitted pony addict. A warm welcome to you from me. (And the ponies.)
  17. That clip reminds me of the time I used KOS-MOS from Xenosaga: Episode I in a class presentation on whether the truth is relative...but much more awesome. That guy rules. And so do you for posting it. Welcome, from a fellow noob.
  18. Welcome! Although I am new myself. I wish I could draw. There's been some art made for this show that's just amazing.
  19. Tails is not amused.

In the spirit of love and tolerance, Tails forgives you for slighting his character.

I'm not Tails! I'm my original character, Blails!

Hi Blails, I'm SonicShadow the Hedgehog!

  20. This be the flash. A guy called The Coop made it on DeviantArt. Mild swearing and hilarious weirdness ahead. http://the-coop.devi...ntion-282012077
  21. The depressing lack of love, tolerance or pony-ness among my co-workers.

  22. My Favourite Mane 6 Pony: Rainbow Dash How did you find MLP Forums?: I was looking for more information on MLP and the fans on Google, and then I found you guys. I'm glad I did. It's great to meet you! How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: A few months ago I saw this strange flash animation--you probably know about it--where Jon Talbain from Darkstalkers is transported to Ponyville. Well, I recognized Talbain easy, but the ponies left me stumped. Later I found out they were from MLP: FIM and decided to check out the show online. It was so much better than I thought it would be. Where most of the post-1990s cartoons I've seen just left a bad taste in my mouth, MLP is funny, genuine and doesn't try too hard to be cool. It has great writing and charming characters. I'm officially a brony for life and I've preordered Season 1 on Amazon. I'm 27 and plugging away at a full-time job. It's a pretty boring life, but this show really brightened it up. My favorite M6 pony is Rainbow Dash because everything she does is pure awesomeness. But the ponies I'm most like are Twilight Sparkle and Fluttershy, because I'm a bookworm, a critical thinker and I tend to be very shy. The name "TailsAlone" comes from Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
  23. I love them all. But if I had to pick a favorite, Rainbow Dash. She's brave, loyal and ready for action. Plus her voice is awesome. Twilight Sparkle is a close second, though. We're both bookworms who want to be right all the time.
