Treeboy 417 Share November 15, 2013 Normally I'd be keeping strictly to Nothing But Black Metal November, but I need to break it because NEW DEATH GRIPS ALBUM I'll get right back on the NBBMN train after this little detour, don't worry.

IridscentNionios 1,412 Share November 15, 2013 Disturbed is my favorite band. Though I'm the type who believes they've only gotten better as time has gone by. Each album was better than the last (except for Believe which is the worst album imo, though I still love it) though I think Indestructible and Ten Thousand Fists are my favorites. I've come to really love Asylum though thanks to Serpentine, Another Way To Die and The Infection. And the important thing is that they keep making the best stuff ever! I have a whole folder in my mp3 dedicated to Disturbed.

Discordian 5,987 Share November 15, 2013 (edited) I've always thought vocals really bogged down a lot of music genres and metal is one of the biggest offenders of this. I love harsh vocals and clean vocals alike but it's when trying to get other people to listen to anything that's the problem. They can't stand the harsh vocals or they don't care for the "cheesiness" of some genres like power metal and worse yet there's a lot of people who don't like any music that they can't "relate with" So take that out and what do you have? The guitars, the drums, the real metal. You can find vocals just about anywhere in many forms but only in metal can you find just the right combination of instruments with more melody than most. And yes, I realize i say this a lot. lol Edited November 15, 2013 by Discordian

Twiliscael 3,950 Share November 19, 2013 Even though they haven't been good since Forging Future Self, and even though In Dreams was pretty lackluster, and een though the production quality leaves something to be desired... Am excited. Probably my favorite blackened death group out there. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Plk7cn4wJhs Oh this thread looks nice a little early for christmas songs but really. this shit is heavy MISHA MISHA MISHA. I feel like he just doesn't have the same sense of humor anymore that he did when he was a failing living-room musician.
Woohoo 23,815 Share November 19, 2013 (edited) Just got back from the gym. I listened to Iron Maiden's Seventh Son of a Seventh Son (try saying that 10 times fast) Intro kinda remnids me of Rush Edited November 19, 2013 by Woohoo
 Badges
uuunph 288 Share November 20, 2013 We must vex the new guys in the dark arts. Him and Moog decided to commit forum suicide and get themselves banned. They both made threads and posted all this loli-porn and boom, gone. Admittedly, the fact Moog named his "I AM THE ANTICHRIST" was pretty entertaining. Did you save any of the pics That's unfortunate. Moog taught me how 2 Converge, and knew how 2 synthesizers. By the way, does anyone have a date on Casualties of Cool? Halfblood 363 Share November 21, 2013 Been gettin' into Volumes a lot more. Generally, most of the bands signed by Mediaskare are pretty rad. http://youtu.be/BkySKVwY7Ic Good to see the thread's still bumpin' (not that I had any doubt, of course!).

uuunph 288 Share November 21, 2013 Gettin' grindy with it KURT'S NOT DEAD No, just this cryptic video left by God himself 5 months ago. Devin Townsend sure has some interesting stuff on his channel. But it's Hevy Devy so that's expected. Also, Holy Grail's new album. Anyone heard it yet? By the way, I think they're getting big really quickly as a heavy/power/thrash band given how relatively new the band is.
