"Ooooh, so you gathered all the heat into a central point away from something flamable then and let it out safely?"

Blitz roughly thought she got the idea of this, if she followed this balloon analogy right anyway. In her head, it sounded like removing the air and gathering them up in a secure point where it could pop safely. So it wouldn't be so much putting out the fire as it would be to have just extinguished it's oxygen intake and take the points of heat away like they were smouldering coal just waiting to being able to rekindle.

But then again, it was just what she thought anyway. Who knew if she were right? She hadn't been part of the school in Ponyville for long enough to do much more than read random titbits here and there before she was expelled, so there were tons of stuff she misunderstood at any given time.

"Hehe, awesome. I didn't even know you could Do something like that. You must be Really strong with magic."

Blitz almost had shiny eyes when she looked up at Frosty, thinking on how he would have pulled something like that off. She might have an idea on the mechanics of things, but the underlying magic and actual implementation of its usage was a whole other deal, and not one she at least thought were easy. Strong magic usually wasn't. and this sounded like it had to be powerful.

@@Officer Strike,

Ol' Gregor didn't say anything at first, but just looked over the pegasus that had approached him, thinking about how these dang guards just kept looking younger and younger to him these days.

"Aye, you can. I have a theft to report."

He shrug and the saddlebag on his side opened, revealing the compartmented pockets that were all empty of their content, save a small one where the end of a screwdriver with a little dried blood at the end were seen.

"I was on my way to the Apple farm last night when I went out to grab my tools and found this cloaked whippersnappper rummaging through things in my garage.

I threw my screwdriver at the twerp and made him hit the road, but when I checked this morning it seems like he had nicked some of my tools. I don't care if it's colt games or whatever he's gonna call it if you get yer hooves on him, but I need my darn tools to get back to work, and I don't got the time to ask around town to see if anypony knows the wee one.

Sides, I ain't thinking anypony stealing lockpicking tools are up to any good."

Ol' Gregor had been a locksmith for the past 40 years or so, and though his business in Ponyville weren't always needed and he had his work mostly in other towns, he still had a reputation he liked to keep up in the area. A reputation that didn't allow him to end up being several days late because some punk thought it were funny to take his things. Or some burglar planning to get in unnoticed somewhere, which wasn't good either.

Meeko's first instinct before Lonk opened his eyes were to try and bite and see if he were dead. Free food was free food after all, though his instinct went into caution instead when he saw the pony with the strange-smelling blood starting to move again.

What he were going to do from there ranged from being about to bark at him and seem threatening to... okay, not much more than that. Meeko was still little after all and didn't know that many different ways of handling things beyond *I can eat that*, *I can play with that* and *That is dangerous, scare off*. It didn't really get a chance to go that far since Ginger had followed him though, and the smell of the friendly pony made him turn around and face her, with the whole scene looking like he had perhaps knocked down Lonk and were now presenting his prey to somepony higher up the hierarchy.

That is, if the idea that the runt could do that weren't laughably impossible.

Ziggy wandered out of the door they had gotten in from last night (unless it were locked, then she waited for Serenade to unlock it) and looked around before letting out a yawn and letting the fresh morning air sink down her lungs.

"So, where should we look? Do you know any place like that somewhere?"

She had only been around town a´for about a day or two, and hadn't been spending that time exploring as much as following strangers around to funny adventures, such as with Serenade and Omen last night. Which in turn meant that she knew little of the town and surrounding areas enough to tell where there might be a pond, as well as where one would be that were pretty isolated from searching eyes that would perhaps freak a teensie bit if Serenade suddenly turned Siren around them.

"...Yes...? I...think so?"

Frosty wasn't really sure the message had come across, but it probably didn't matter much. It wasn't a good metaphor anyway, so he didn't expect Blitz to get the idea anyway. It was pretty abstract, and Blitz didn't sound like she knew that much about magic. And even if she did, Frosty had never succeeded in explaining it properly to anyone.

Frosty blushed. He wasn't really used to being complemented about his magic, as he never really used it on large scales in public.

"H-heh, thanks... It's not that impressive anyway, it's just some simple energy transferring, it's my special talent and all, so it'snotthatdifficultmumblemumble..."

Casting that magic would indeed have challenged even strong unicorns. However, magic of that particular type, switching energy around, is Frosty's special talent, so he had way less difficulties with it. For him it is just like moving things around on a balance scale, taking weights from where there are too many, and putting them where there's room for more. Well, this metaphor would only work if there is some sort of balance scale that has thousands of individual scale...thingies. Not sure what they're called.

Moving energy around is too abstract for metaphors to work properly.

"I may have gone in a circle but I'm certain there was someone, or something, in there." He scratched the adjacent tree and left a deep claw mark on its bark. Senlin inspected his body in case there was anything else on him that might indicate another presence. "I don't feel confident about whatever it is that led me in there but it may just be the lighting."

Amongst the other things in his mind, it was the Omen's need to find Discord. There was time to try again later on and while he might have gone back to square one, at least the trinket was a start. He was more or less content with finding it but he thought about his friend accompanying him around. It may be high time the roles were switched and he be the supportive one.

"Omen, I think we could try again another time. Knowing Lin, she could look after herself if her survival here could indicate something, even if it is still unconfirmed. I have confidence in her. How about we settle for a meal? I owe you that much for helping me. I might remember where I buried my satchel. Don't worry though, it's just bits in there because I wouldn't want anyone to eat dirt."

Serene Sanguine chuckled at a sudden realization. Here she was, on a break from her studies and school, and she still wound up reading one of her criminology textbooks. She didn't mind, however. The subject matter was easily the most interesting thing to her in the world.. aside from learning about others' species and experiences that is.

Out of the corner of her eye she couldn't help but notice a yellow Earth Pony walking around, looking at one thing then another then back. He was hopelessly lost. Serene wasn't too familiar with Ponyville herself, but she was able to develop a rough mental map over the course of a week.

She closed her book and stuffed it in her saddlebag before standing.

"Excuse me, sir?" she called as she approached the Earth Pony.

"Are you looking for someone or something? I'd love to help out any way possible," assured Serene with a genuine smile.

"Wait?"

Omen looked confused on Senlin for a long time, tilting her head from one side to the other and trying to find meaning in this. He had been so determined to find his sister for a while now, and seemed to be sorta close, but then all of a sudden... He wanted to wait? What if it were her, and she got away? Might be it were a trap, but shouldn't they try anyway?

It rummaged around her head for a few minutes before she slowly nodded.

"...Wait, eat, then find a light and try again."

This made sense to her in a way, that he were hungry and wanted to have a better chance by having a light source so they didn't get lost in the dark again. There had been thoughts that he were afraid too, but she couldn't made that fit. Senlin did not seem like a scared type, and with how eager he had been before, it didn't fit. Not in her mind at least.

"Let us find your bag then."

Getting used to flapping your wings and stuff are easy, but getting it in to make it more automated reflexes than actively doing everything to stay up takes time. And that's not including the speed flying, but we will get to that later. One step at a time."

Ziggy didn't doubt that Serenade would pick up how to work her wings right, if she couldn't already that were. That was the most important part, if you knew how they worked. Things beyond that were adding up to things or instinct, but since Serenade was not born a pegasus the instinct part wouldn't be ingrained she'd think, so they'd take it as it came. Might be that Ziggy underestimated her in the long run and she'd pick it up like That.

Blitz giggled and hugged the pony's leg. She liked the shy'ish sort of ponies because it were adorable in her eyes, especially when they sounded like being faced with a compliment were awkward and they started to blush. The blushing in particular, that tended to really draw her towards the pony in question.

It had made some of the other ponies look strangely at her back in school, but what had it mattered to her? It were how she were, and she wasn't likely to care to change that, especially not when it at times gave her some good friends that might not be used to getting random hugs when blushing along, but sometimes appreciated it.

Sure, there were also those getting all Weird about it, but eh, it were a chance, and what were life without chance? Far less full of inventions, that were for sure, and she couldn't imagine a life like that. Not one that wasn't boring anyway.

@@MDLineArt,

Whilst Ponyville were still unsuspecting of the dangers that were lurking near them, and the things going on around them, a few colts ran down the street and threw small water balloons at eachother. Nothing major, and they didn't run where most of the ponies went, so they didn't really think it were bad whilst they played along with their little game.

The one in front turned and threw one in a pretty straight line at the other, hitting him on the side of the face whilst he kept on trotting along. It were fun for him, but it also meant that he hadn't seen where he were going for a bit until he bumped into somepony and turned around, looking up to see who he had hit.

The look in the silver eyes of the black and crimson Gryphon that met his gaze made the colt freeze in place. The Gryphon wasn't doing anything but stare at the small one for a bit before he raised a metallic arm and... Moved along, leaving the colt to stand with his heart pumping away and the scare mixing with relief that he wasn't hurt.

"Dang pipsqueaks..."

Giddon didn't have the interest to waste his time on the small one that had collided into him. It hadn't been fast, and he hadn't spread something all over his clothes, so it were an annoyance. And he didn't even raise his voice over that sort of thing, though he did mumble the two words as he left.

Others around him did the usual thing and avoided getting in his path after that, which he much preferred really. He wasn't a touchy feely type, and he didn't know anypony around here except for Double Chow and a few others that, at the best of times, were little more than business partners. Beyond those, he didn't come to this town to plan to meet with anypony, nor starting to get mixed up with others. He came here to get a job done. Or well, three jobs to be exact.

The first one were tomorrow, which is where he had the deal with Chow to meet up and have the transaction between fish and hog handled. He already had a wagon ready with his crate and a courier to make sure it got to the right place, so that one were mostly patience.

The second one were a bit harder, as where he might be able to use Chow for it, he really needed somepony with a bit more... Subtlety and finesse in it for this sort. Something he hadn't seen in anypony yet, but he had time to get through that. After all, this was a matter of acquiring an item that wasn't on a deadline, but for his own collection, which meant that he had the time he allowed for it. And for this thing... He could use a few days to find somepony he could use before going more professional routes.

Granted, he Liked having things handled professionally, but the sort that would do this tended to leave bodies in their wake, and he didn't need that unless there wasn't a choice, and even then it were doubtful. He were a manipulator and a businessman after all, not a middle man for getting hired guns.

It left him with the third thing, which is what he had his eyes set upon as he went through the door of the local tailor. Usually he didn't care to use anypony else than his own, Gryphon tailor back home, but he had a simple job he needed fixing that any tailor worth his or her salt should be able to handle.

For whoever would be in the shop, they would see a black and crimson Gryphon with what looked like a custom made, elegant adventurers suit. Not something posh, but not something you'd scoff about seeing somepony in when in regular society either. It were focused on leaving movement, so the legs weren't covered - if you did not count the long jacket covering a little of his back legs and some of his tail - and from the looks of things, it had a hood to go with it that were currently slung back, showing his silver eyes and the head-feathers that made it look sorta like he had combed-back, spiky hair.

As he took a few steps towards the counter, another unusual part would be seen in that his right front leg seemed to be made from metal. Except for at the talons were a little walk dirt had gathered, it were glistening and seemed as if he had cleaned it recently, showing off the details in the work that made it apparent it were crafted by a master in his ir her field. One that had somehow made it possible to make the realistic-looking limb work like a normal one too, considering the movements of the talons gave away that this wasn't just a lump of metal crafted on.

Giddon didn't care really. He hadn't cared when his leg had been ripped off to begin with, and he certainly didn't care about the looks it sometimes gave now. Frankly, he were often pleased with it, thinking it gave him more distinction, but now wasn't the time or the place to think over that again.

For now, he had a bit of business to conduct with whoever was in right now. Better hope that whoever it were wasn't with a customer already. He were a patient sort, but lines never really were a thing that sat well with him. They made him a bit on edge.

Cloth of various bright colours were flung all about the small shop, tossed to the side as the lone pony in the room rummaged with panic in his search.  A squeaky small voice came from beneath the chaotic hunt.  "Where is it!?  Oh, Lace is gonna be maaaad if I lost it!"

Half-made designs littered the desk and articles of clothing were hung along the racks, each one with a hands-on delicacy that shown the work of a real artisan.   Maybe someday, this little blue earth pony would be able to match some craftsmanship.  No, Bashful Thread was still just the hired help, he was suppose to be organizing and helping get measurements, all the busy work of maintaining a shop so Orange Lace could focus on making the merchandise, but right now his search was far more important than neatly folded cloth.  He needed to find it!

Taking hold of the red beret and ringing it like some soaked cloth, he started to sweat.  His nerves were getting to him, and it wasn't until his hoof found it's way onto the many needles and pins held in his hat that he was jarred out of that state, giving a sharp yelp.

Placing the beret back on his head, covering the green and dark grey mane, he began to lick his hoof looking at it with a great degree of self-pity.  "I am never gonna get this right...  And look at the shop!  Oh my, what have I done to the shop?  Lace will be back soon, and if she finds out I lost it and ruined the shop, she might.... she might...."  The thought was interrupted with a heavy grumbling of his stomach.

Bashful Thread had not eaten in days.  Not for a lack of trying, but apples and grains are difficult for him.  His preference, well, he cant indulge it now, so why wait.  Trying to keep up appearances is taxing.

It was then he heard the knock on the door, and jumped at the sudden start, and crashed into the pile of cloth and thread he had just finished throwing around in search for 'it'.  In a daze, he tried as loud as his tiny voice could muster "Be right there!"

Can't keep the customer waiting, that's what Lace said.  Running to the door, he opened it quickly, unaware of the thread and cloth that hung from his tailoring garb loaded with all those pointy needles and pins.  Opening the door, his eyes widened.

There was fear, most definitely.  This.... something, that stood at the door, red and black feathered, mighty beak, a metallic talon, and huge compared to Bashful's diminutive frame.  What was this... WHO was this?  Bashful could only pull away from the door very slowly, as he tried to shrink himself down as small as possible, lowering his head.  For a minute, he wished he could just disappear.

"Um.... H-hello....  My name is..." His stomach growled,  and Bashful could only look down at his stomach, thinking on how it seemed even his body was going to make this more akward for him.

Dark Horse smiled sunnily as he trotted along the streets of Ponyville. It had been far too long since he last visited the serene town, and he was looking forward to spending some quality relaxation time among his favorite group of Ponies. On the bustling streets of Manehattan, Dark could barely take two steps without being accosted by either fans, saleponies, or a group of tourists out looking for directions. The denizens of Ponyville, however, were far less intrusive. It was an aspect of the town he appreciated very much.

He smiled and waved at a passing pair out for a stroll, and was greeted by the same in return. Something else he had noted about the town was how unique most of its residents were. Even though he had been gone for several months, he could still remember the names and faces of many he encountered here in the past, each carrying their own distinct personality that made them stand out within Dark's mind. Glancing around, he could already begin to pick out a few Mares and Stallions he recognized from visits past.

The dark brown Unicorn took in a deep breath of fresh air, and sighed.

"Good to be back, Ponyville!"

Today, he had decided to celebrate his return by visiting his favorite bakery, Sugarcube Corner, and treating himself to one of their delicious muffins they always had on stock. As he continued along, he pondered what flavor he should indulge himself in this time. Blueberry? Banana? Maybe even Buttermilk Chocolate! Dark licked his lips as he tossed the ideas around in his head. He had been so busy fantasizing, he didn't even notice the yellow Earth Pony who had stopped to converse with another just ahead of him, and he bumped clumsily into the back of him, snapping Dark out his daydream.

"Erk! S-sorry about that.." he apologized, rubbing a hoof behind his head and looking thoroughly embarrassed.

It was a sunny day in the small town Ponyvile was. Far from the bustling sounds from the cities, far from the dramas and big hits that would happen in places like Canterlot, this was one place where calm would reign without problem. Ponies were having fun, foals were running on the streets without danger, and even the animals seemed to sing in unison, further increasing that feeling of calm...

In the skirts of this place, there were two ponies ponies, sitting and talking. Anyone that was passing by would simply say that they were just two friends having fun, but there was somepony that would see beyond, somepony hidden behind a tree, observing how this would go...

"Come oon... I know you like her, silly pony"

He was trying to be as silent as possible, just waiting patiently. But, as if his words were heard by someone, they seemed to talk more, and one of them was even blushing, which caused him to squee, althought he kept himself from making too much noise.

"I knew it all along! How they looked at each other... How she was talking to him and how he was talking to her... It's indeed a great day, because a new ship is born!"

Just as he finished talking, he managed to stand on two legs, and hit himself with a branch of the tree, which cause the other two ponies to notice him. In that instant, he just smiled like a kid and flew away before any of them could say anything.

As soon as he was away from them, he stopped and hit himself lightly on the forehead.

"Silly me! How could I interrupt such a beautiful moment? Oh well, at least they seemed happy anyways, so I guess that my interruption won't make things too different"

He then headed towards the main town, and quickly streched his hoofs before setting hoof on the ground, and started to talk to himself again, although in a mumble way so nobody could hear what was he saying.

"Hmmm... Maybe I should eat something, I don't know... I could keep looking for lovebirds, but I am not sure..."

He kept walking as he was thinking about what to do, without paying attention to what was in front of him, so clashing with something would eventually become unavoidable...

@@Moonlit,

Ziggy let out a small *meep* when Daring Do was mentioned. Back at the hospital, those books were some of the only stories she had to cheer her up with, and she kept dreaming of getting out one day and go on adventures just like her through her years of growing up in training rooms and limited by the small outdoor area to the little slice of the world she were in.

In a sense, the books had formed her into who she were, and fuelled her need for having to get out into the world and see what were out there. If it weren't for Daring Do, she were likely to have just stayed in Las Pegasus, and then she wouldn't have met all sorts of awesome friends. Like Serenade. Not even in Las Pegasus could they boast of having a real life Siren, so this was an experience that she were happy she hadn't missed for sure.

She managed to hold back a bit from making more weird noises and tried to focus on what else had been said by Serenade. About if she had to know things that foals usually figured out.

"Well, that really depends. Some foals can fly from near birth cause it's in their instincts, but for those that needs to be trained, usually it starts with knowing if you know how to move your wings."

She demonstrated what she meant by moving her wings a little around, independently of eachother.Though it might seem like it were often tandem movements whilst flying, you had to account for needing to move one to spin, catch a current, go to the side, etc. THere was a lot of things to go through really.

"That's the most important really. Knowing how to use the muscles. After that it sorta comes down to how far things might be along already, and how deep-seated an instinct for this you might have.

Basically, there's gonna be some trial and error, but I'm sure you'll pick up on this soon enough. It's not as hard as you might fear."

@@MDLineArt,

Giddon looked at the pony in silence, but you could see in his eyes that he weren't overly impressed. Not that he had thought it were going to be a strong one handling a tailor shop amongst ponies either, but he had expected something more than what made him think more of a starving artist.

Amongst the gryphons where he grew up, tailors usually had to deal with impatient, irate customers, haggling prices, those who tried to skip on the bills and so forth. That tended to breed a tougher kind that he could relate more to over ponies and their overly friendly-towards-everything attitude. Well, that, or like this one, nervous fear over being faced with outsiders.

Taking a few steps forward and looking around the shop he was somehow not surprised to see it in such a state. It wasn't what he had wanted, and before wandering in he figured there was at least Some order amongst the do-good bipedal shops in this area, but this fitted the scrambling mess of a being in front of him more. It was a disappointment, but not unexpected all things considered.

"I'm Giddon. Are you the one in charge around here?"

He didn't care enough to wait for the pony to pick up his words before speaking himself. It might be a bit rude, but telling why he were there might jolt the pony back into things and he'd be able to get something done instead of this standstill. He might have patience with things, but this wasn't a point where he should have it.

"I ran into a little complication and need to have my gear repaired properly."

He lifted his right wing showing the damage. Which were essentially what looked like a large bear had slashed at him and made some substantial tears in the thick cloth and the cured leather beneath it. He hadn't been harmed enough to not get the upper talon on the bear, but the damage to his clothes had already been done and he had a use for a tailor to get it fixed back up properly. It wouldn't be fitting if he ended up meeting with... A business associate, and he looked like that.

It shouldn't be much of an issue for a Tailor worth at least a little of their salt. The cloth were easy enough, with some right stitches in the correct colour and materials so it looked whole - or by the use of magic to patch the pieces together - though the leather needed a bit more than usual. Magic preferably, but he could live with it getting properly stitched and hidden beneath the cloth until he could get to a place with a magic-using tailor of some kind. He wasn't set up to have to fight for at least a little after all. Not s far as he had planned anyway.

"Two layers, three places each. What's your rates?"

Hopefully this one wasn't going to be one of those pesky *no-kill* proclaimers that were going to get in his grill about wearing leather to begin with. It were lighter than metal, didn't rust, and could take a good beating before being damaged. That a beast had to be made into it mattered little to him over that, especially considering where the hide being layered and cured to this came from.

What he Did care about, where the endless ranks of preachy annoyances getting in his face about this. It started to get old after a while, and then some time after that it began to get somewhat aggravating. Which were the point it were moving towards since he had started to mingle with pony society more.

For his own sake, he hoped this pony were not stupid enough to call him out on that though. Giddon were pretty sure that he could beat him into a pulp if needed, and considering the rumbling stomach of the unknown pony, he needed to earn some pay so he could get some sustenance. And you didn't earn bits by annoying your customers.

@@EQ_Theta,

"Nopony have talked to me this long since master disappeared, and nopony have called me their friend either. Having somepony to talk and travel with, that are like that, is more than I have had for a long, long time. Perhaps more than ever."

She wasn't certain herself. Discord had been good company in her mind, and he had been a good master too from her perspective, but could she say that he had ever seen her as a friend? A willing servant, yes, and a being he could talk with as she did not pass things along or judge him, but she didn't know if he thought of her as a friend like Senlin had said he did.

How much friendship meant wasn't something she could tell yet. She hadn't thought about it much over the years, and it were still an emotion and situation that she were trying to get used to, or understand in some kind of way at least. Small steps.

"I should be thanking you."

Thanking others beyond mere courtesy was another of those things that were strange to her, but it seemed... Fitting? Like it should be said back to him. Not that she did not mean what she said - she did not lie to him after all - but if it were the right way to say it she weren't sure about.

Perhaps she would know soon enough. For now, he stood by her words, though they were technically just Senlin's she had returned. A more fitting gesture than him having said *thank you* to her in the first place she thought, but he might see her following and asking questions in another light than her. One where he were not the one who deserved the praise for all he had done.

Meeko sniffed the vomit on the ground, but averted his nose pretty quickly from what had been regurgitated by Ginger. Whatever the weird smell on Lonk were, this were right now worse to him, and he backed away and went in a small circle away from it pretty fast.

After getting a better place to sit that didn't put him in the downwind of that smell, he looked up and tried to understand what the two ponies were talking about. It seemed to just go back and forth with strange words and smells until... Something happened with the strange friend he had gotten.

He had never met a Changeling before in his short life, so the glowing horn wasn't something he understood what meant. In his eyes it were just a strange light, and one he followed closely with his eyes. The last time he had seen a pony with a light at the end of their horn, it had been the strange one with the explosions, so his instinct told him this could be a bad thing he had to hide from. Yet, it wasn't the same colour, so... Wait and see?

"It seems like the Ponyville greeting these days is to wander into somepony."

The slightly gruff voice of Stargazer were heard before he took a step to the side after being walked into by the pegasus he had taken notice off after he hit him, though he had taken notice of him before contact had been made.

Not so much because of how he looked, as most of the residents in this town looked special in their own rights and that might be normal as far as he knew at this point, but more because he had been mumbling to himself, and that tended to draw the eye of the old blank flanked Night Guard. Usually it were nothing that he had to get into, but he had been a guard for too long to not think things when it were. It made him prepared in case his slight paranoia actually came true.

It shoudl mean that he hadn't been walked into, but his eye had been drawn for a moment as something a bit away that had turned out to be nothing. Just a stand opening a strange looking assembly of things. Yet the distraction had worked well enough so that the pegasus had managed to get close and bump into the large bat pony before he had taken notice, which had prompted a small response from Stargazer.

(this is Stargazer)

"Sorry, didn't mean for that to sound rude sir."

Internally he let out a sigh. Him and his big mouth sometimes. Even if it weren't said with any anger, sarcasm or anything other than a neutral voice when he had let the first words pop out, it weren't professional to say either, and he should own up to that. If the pegasus were offended somehow... Well, he would take it from there. It wouldn't be the first time he had been wailed at by a citizen before it it were, and he doubted it'd be the last.

Watching the disgruntled 'thing' walk into Lace's shop was bad enough, but to have it in the tattered state of frantic disorganization Bashful Thread had left it in was not helping.  Bashful could only watch this creature he's never seen before walk into the shop, and begin to introduce himself as Giddon.  All Bashful could do was has hear the ringing in his ears, the stress piling up like the cloth he had tossed about in a heap at the center of the room searching for 'it'.

"Um... Bashful Thread.  My name is Bashful Thread.  This shop belongs to Orange Lace, she does most of the clothing designs and, well, I kinda help her out."  Nervously Bashful was twisting the tip of his hoof into the wood flooring back and forth, feeling a little exposed with his stomach grumbling.

Watching Giddon show the results of his 'complication', he seen the wares in tatters!  The proud adventuring gear Giddon wore told the story of who he was, but it was the damage to his gear that served as a heavy reminder of what kinds of dangers his profession held.  "Are th-those TEETH marks?!"  It was at that moment Bashful's gaze fell to the mechanical limb of his patron, along with the talons which could rend him to pieces.

Dangerous, Brave, Forceful, Proud.  What ever Giddon was, he knew these characteristics. Trying to muster as much courage as his tiny frame would alow, he stood straighter, but in doing so came to realize how much bigger Giddon was to Bashful.  Swallowing his nerves with a loud 'gulp', he tried to look at the amalgamation of parts that was this 'pony' in Lace's shop.

"Um...  Three places, two layers...  Leather, looks like underneath.  I suppose there are some scraps we can use to re-enforce the seem, though not alot of ponies use leather, but it's always good to have some on hand.  Sometimes you got to make due with what you have.  Waste not!  The cloth will need to be catch-stitched, maybe with a tiny bit of ......" Bashful paused, looking back up at Giddon.  He rambles when he's hungry and nervous, and right now was that moment.

"Yes, yes, I can do this, shouldn't take more than a couple minutes.  May need to use a leather-punch, but it shouldn't take much.  Just put it on the counter, I'll go get what you need!"  Like a shot, he ran down stairs into his room/storage, and even more of disorganized chaos started flying out from out from the bottom of the stairs.  "FOUND IT!"  Galloping up the stairs in a sprint, he held a piece of heavier stock leather, strands, and a leather-working kit.

He could feel the excitement of getting to work on an adventurer's gear.  If he did a good job here, maybe he could show Orange Lace that he really is worth his Cutie Mark, the scissors cutting a spool of thread.  He tried to push the thoughts aside about how ridiculous of a choice of Cutie Mark he gave himself, how other ponies were so committed and how natural it came to them.  No!  Now is not the time to wallow in self-pity!  Bashful, you have a job to do, and by Star Swirl's Beard he wasn't going to let this opportunity pass him by.

As he waited for Giddon to remove his gear for it to be worked on, Bashful spoke in that small voice, belying an inquisitive nature.  "Um... Mr. Giddon, Do you love what you do?"  It was all Bashful could do to not lower his eyes to stare at Giddon's heart.

"N-nuh, I'm not emb-barrassed..." Frosty said as he blushed even more, giggling nervously.

He put a hoof around Blitz in a sort of one hoof counter-hug. He kind of liked Blitz. She was weird, but in a good way. Most ponies that Frosty knew didn't really know what to do when somepony was really embarrassed. Do you try to comfort them, or just do nothing? Blitz solved it properly by not making a big deal out of it. So what you're embarrassed? Somehow, in a weird way, it works out the best.

Frosty looked over to Summer and Damon, wondering what they were doing. He saw Damon sitting on the ground, looking pretty sad. What 's up with him? Frosty wondered, He looked pretty happy a minute ago, when he was shooting fire with that stick of his.

@@Blitz Boom,

There hasn't been a time when Senlin could've thought about family or friends and while he had them, some bonds were stronger than others. To those like him back home, they saw each other as acquaintances but nothing more. With his sister, they were inseparable. Here, he wasn't sure what to think but his words almost sounded like he wanted to reach out and give friendship a try.

He didn't know how to reply but he was at ease with Omen's reply. He smiled rather sheepishly.

Syo suddenly felt herself forcefully teleported out of the group and landed bottom first on the hard ground. In front of her was a very familiar face. Though confused at first, her constant use and experience with teleportation has given Syo some knowledge that is beyond a book. There was only one that she knew that could force her into teleporting like she did.

"Didn't I give you a map?" Syo grumbled as she got up and brushed off the dirt a little by patting. "I said in the clearing."

"There are so many clearings in this forest, how would I know which?" Melke said with a sigh as his magic died down and Syo did a flip to stand back up. "So, you were busy? You usually just make a beeline to where we said we meet."

"I was in a group and now I just poof out of there without saying anything." Syo said. "So come here, I am going to get us back."

Syo walked up to Melke and grabbed his paw and dragged him over to a tree. Placing Melke's paw on the tree, Syo used him like a relay. Syo was able to see the forest like a high tech map for a short moment then she made a telepathic message that she sent through Melke, into the tree, into the magic network and up to...

"Briar~! Can you hear me? It's Syo!" Syo said to Briar, as if it was a whisper in his ear.
