What is the most stupid phrase you ever heard/say?

"On fleek" just why, oh god I laughed so hard when I first heard that.

Okay my friend said this the other day and I can't stop laughing over it. She didn't know what a baddie was or in what context you would use the term.

So she said "so what if someone's eyebrows look really good? Are their eyebrows a baddie?"

She was being serious. And it was so funny. It still is.

"Resolution is a number, just like framerate is a number."

I sure do love playing my games in 256x144 at 10FPS, because clearly resolution and frame rate are just numbers, as Ubisoft said!

lol no, both of these numbers directly impact how much you enjoy a game. Higher numbers truly are better when gaming.

*ahem*

"I don't even have time to explain why I don't have time to explain." -Unexplained Exo woman from Destiny

Bungie apparently has writers, right? I was sure that they did at one point.

I face palmed so hard when I heard this that I could probably sue Bungie for physically harming my body and my brain.

"yolo"

Please, no. I often use this sarcastically just to mildly rustle some jimmies, but I do not understand how someone could take it seriously. In regard to this issue, it doesn't matter what your views are on life, death, God, and so on. You're alive now on this planet, and that's a precious thing to be protected regardless of whether you live once or a million times, regardless of whether there's an afterlife or an eternity of nothing after death.

Using "yolo" to justify being a jackass and putting yourself and anyone else in harms way is not just stupid, it's destructive.

I used to think the same, until I heard this lyric in a song:

Forever revolves around you / That's your time, I'm livin' in mine too / How much positivity are you blind to? / You only live once I'll remind you

It's a shame the phrase has been mostly hijacked by those who use it as an excuse to do irresponsible or otherwise dangerous things, because "YOLO", at it's core, is a great saying.

"You Only Live Once" is really another way of saying "You never know unless you try". It means you should take that next step towards bettering yourself. It means you should strive to live your life to the fullest. It means that one day, your life will expire and all that will remain of you is what you've left behind. What it does NOT mean is to be careless with the life you have.

Stupidest things I've ever heard:
"Carpe diem m*****f*****!"

"Am I the only one that... [insert ironicallyabsurdly common thing here]"

"Can you just try not being so sad/depressed/gay/atheist?"

Stupidest thing I've ever said... I don't know. I've said a lot of idiotic things that from my brain alone someone can make an entirely new lexicon of stupid things. Probably the worst of them all is one your mom jokes I cracked years ago.

The "The Bible said Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve" argument/joke is easily one of the stupidest things I have ever heard in my entire life. It's just stupid on so many levels, and I have a coworker that thinks it's funny to (seriously) use it every single time the subject of homosexuality comes up in the break room and I just want to slap him so hard.
