There are a lot of people on youtube I watch who do countdown lists, mostly gaming ones.

Here's who I enjoy the most:

I liked the Game Trailers countdown for Worst Consoles.

I love checking out other peoples Top 10s! It's always interesting to see what they have to say.

 

I don't have a favourite person who does countdown lists, though. I would say Joshscorcher, but I lost interest in him a while ago.

I never gave it much thought until you started this thread.  I suppose I could say I do enjoy countdown lists.    And for a wide variety of topics too.  From best beaches and big city skylines to football players and cartoons.  They can be thought provoking and encourage lively discussion. 

 

Sorry I don't know any of those Youtubers you listed but I do agree that countdowns can be fun in general.

I like countdown lists done by individual Internet producers, not really big ones done by media conglomerates. There's a more authentic presentation and a conciseness that you would get out of a Top 11 list from the Nostalgia Critic for example, rather than a top 10 by a site like Entertainment Weekly or TV Guide. There's no bull to it, just the honest and truthful opinions of the presenter, and they don't waste time dwelling, recapping, or throwing in commercials.

No. They are a cheap and pathetic way for a person to go "This is a list of ten things, possibly with a paragraph or two explianing why I put these things on this list. If you disagree with this list, it's because it's, like, an opinion, man. But I can pass it off as real journalism if I want, but only when it suits me, and only when I want!".

 

However, the lists done by Nostalgia Critic and the like are typically good. He's awesome.

Mmmmmm i just pretty much only seen TopTenFTW and that's about it for countdowns. Apart from that, i'm just generally looking for a game to play.

Journalism? I would hardly consider any YouTube video real journalism nor are the people creating the list trying to pass it off as such. They are just stating what their favorite or least favorite things are on an specific topic. 

This is coming from someone who does not really even like countdown videos.

I really enjoy countdowns. It's especially awesome when somehing you like gets a good spot on the list.

I do like countdown lists; I may not agree with everything all the time, but that's okay. There are countdown lists made for practically anything you could be interested in

I'm actually a patron of Joshscorcher! I love him that much. 

 

I also enjoy watching Rabbidluigi and occasionally The Autarch. These people certainly have some interesting gaming opinions and some thoughtful points. I'm somewhat inspired to have a go at it, but I'm afraid I might fail miserably since my video game library is quite limited in comparison.

Sometimes. However most of the time I disagree with a choice and it ruins it for me! Also when lists are overly long and the narrator doesn't have much insight to provide, it's just pointless imo. Good ones though that I also agree with I like though! But even then I typically avoid them.

I love count down lists. I'm a fan of watchMojo, Alltime10s, Danger Dolan, all the big ones really. It's always interesting to compare your opinions to someone elses
