I guess i could´ve done more complex hair, though.

i have drawn portraits so many times, that i can draw a piece like this in about 4 hours.

but i spent hours upon hours trying to figuring out how to do this when i first started out.

I love your technique! Personally, the hair around the curls looks a little stiff, as does the mouth. And also, the nose seems a bit too smooth for the rest of the picture. Otherwise, well done!

i definitely need to practice hair a lot more, it does look pretty stiff, now that you say it.

 

But i don´t really understand what you mean when you say that the mouth looks stiff.

i am not sure about what you mean when you say that the nose is too smooth, either.

 

Could you clarify that? :)

But one thing you should try is adding longer eye lashes

seems as if she should longer ones

What I mean is that the mouth looks compressed with little to no expression. And the nose is too smooth in my opinion because it lacks nostrils. If, of course, you re-drew the mouth, I'm sure that the nose would look fabulous. Sorry for being cryptic! :)

Character bias aside, you really captured how I feel Rarity views her ideal self. I like to think she sat for that portrait during the events in Suite and Elite.
