Favorite Species of Pony and Why?

That's a tough one. I find it hard to choose between a pegasus or a unicorn. The power of flight would be nice but so would being able to use magic. I think I am swaying a little more towards pegasus though, because I really would love to be able to fly.

I pretty much like all the different types of ponies but if I had to choose my favorite type of pony it would be the unicorn because learning magic would be pretty awesome .

Definitely a unicorn.

 

If I was walking around at night and someone tried to rob me, having a sharp weapon growing out of my cranium would be a definite asset.

 

Of course, I might run into a poacher who wants to take my horn. But that would be cool too, because I could say something witty to the poacher like "you want my horn? Bend over, I'll give you all 12 inches of it!" *charges*

Pegasi don't have it much better. i mean yeah, sure they have an extra pair of limbs, but wings ain't exactly fine manipulators.

I find it hard to decide between pegasus and unicorn. Pegasi get the amazing ability to fly, but unicorns can learn all kinds of interesting magic spells. If I had to pick which one I would be, it would be... unicorn. As a unicorn I might be able to find a flying spell.

The earth ponies aren't getting a lot of love, aren't they? Unfortunately I am not one to join their ranks.

The prospect of flying seems cool but knowing my acrobatic abilities (or lack thereof), I think I would be a pretty boring pegasus.

Magic for me seems the most sensible choice. Besides, unicorn seems to match the intellectual type best (see Twilight and Rarity) and I guess it would suit me perfectly. Of course if I could have a horn AND wings it would be awesome, but alicorn wasn't a choice here.

My first thought was pegasus as I want to fly (hence the pegasus persona/OC) but then it occurred to me that being a unicorn would be better because a) magic would be helpful in all manner of instances and I could always make myself wings like Twilight did for Rarity and just avoid flying too close to the sun.

I'd have to say Unicorn because magic has limitless purposes, unlike wings or...nothing at all.

 

Anyways, the magic thing is the biggest draw to Unicorns.

My personal preferance would have to be Pegasus. Flying, in my opinion, would be awesome.

 

Although, from a technical standpoint, Unicorns would have the biggest advantage what with the ability to bend the laws of nature to their whim. Kinda makes the overpowered if you ask me, but then no one ever said evolution was fair.

Pegasus, 100%. I love feathered wings, they're so stylish. If I could gain the ability to fly, either through levitation or with avian wings, I'd pick the wings. Hands down.

I prefer Earth Ponies and Unicorns over pegasi. But having to pick one, I'd say earth pony. Their subtle magic (headcanon.) seems to appeal to me. Nothing flashy like a unicorn, but something simple, like being able to farm better, such as Applejack, or Pinkie Pie, who is...well, Pinkie Pie, no more explanation needed. Favortie pony is Fluttershy though.

I would be one of the pegasi. I can see why you would want to be a unicorn, with no thumbs and all, and eventually you can conjure yourself up some wings. I'm too lazy for all that study thoughand I would rather just have wings right away, plus reading is NOT for everypony RD.

A unicorn would be a good fit for me I use a sewing machine to make clothes so I would need magic like Rarity. Also magic is AWESOME! It would be cool to be a Pegasus and be able to fly but my travel sickness would probably kick in so maybe not.

Since Alicorn isn't an option it'd obviously be Pegasus. I mean, seriously. Flying. I would love to do that. and I don't even care if I was a fillie or a grown up, I'd spend my life flying around.
