Protagonist villain of the show?

Hey guys I've been something over for a while now who is the protagonist villain for MLP

Now before answering this question you must answer this one . What is a protagonist villain? Well by definition a protagonist villain is a character that is a protagonist but also causes conflict and is a jerk . To give you a better idea here are some examples from other fandoms .

Venom ( spider man )

Squidward , mr krabs and Plankton ( spongebob )

Bloo ( fosters home for imaginary friends ).

Eddy ( Ed Edd and Eddy )

Gorgonzola ( chowder )

Stewie and Peter griffin ( family guy )

Cartman and Butters ( South Park )

Bender ( Futurerama )

There are other names they go by Luke anti hero and as I like to call them the douchebag / asshole in every group .

 

 

So if you had to pick one or multiple protagonist villians for MLP who would they be ?

Aside from Discord, the one who comes to mind is Angel.

If she had more appearances, Trixie could be one.

But she seems like she'll be a lot nicer in any future appearances since her bout with the evil amulet.

for ,e it's Discird ( the most obvious choice ) Angel and RD if Trixie makes a third appearance she'll become one . I can also see Lightening Dust , Diamond Tiara and Silver spoon becoming more examples of they reform .

I don't think MLP really has one. The closest is Discord, but he is no longer a villain.

Well honestly Discord is an intetezting case . Now that I think about it I think reformed villains like himself are in a category of their own . I usuallly perceive protagonist villains as being characters that have been on the " good " side since the Beginning but are the jerks of the group .

So for me here my list

Protagonist villain mane 6 member : Rainbow Dash

Protagonist villain background character : angel bunny

Reformed Villains and antagonists that now fit into this category : Discord and Trixie

I think you guys are mistaking protagonist villains for reformed one a. A character dosn't have to be a charactr that's one of the main cast but tends to be a jerk .

Not every show has such a character and FiM is one of them. Someone may argue that RD would fill out the role, due to her being a bit of a jerk but she’s still far nicer than most of the characters in your list. So yeah, no protagonist villain.

I'm unsure as to whether even FiM even has one. Looking at the main cast no one from the Mane 6, CMC, Spike, Royal Sisters, Cadence, or Shining Armor really fits the bill, and these are the one who play the role of protagonist in the VAST majority of all FiM related media (show, comics, EqG).

 

Honestly, unless you count the background characters, it's hard to find one, IMO.
