I remember once, back near the end of my first middle school year, I'd stayed after school to just hang out around the premises, as I often did. It wasn't too hard to guess where I'd be: Either the library in front of a computer, the bleachers reading a book or cheering on whatever team was practicing that day, or wandering the place looking for doors the staff forgot to lock that I could sneak into.

 

Right. So there was this girl who had been keeping a very close eye on me for a while, I suppose. That or she got a tip from someone else, because I'm a very fast person and she should not have known I'd be alone in the cafeteria doing my homework. ...But she did. And I didn't hear her come in, and I didn't realize she was there until she kissed me on the cheek. ...Thank gosh it was on the cheek. I don't know what she expected would result from that. Perhaps a sudden proclamation that I loved her? I'd barely even spoken to her! I kept a far distance from her after that, but now that I think about it, that was a jerk move on my part. I probably should've talked to her about it.

 

So yeah, I've been kissed on the cheek before. Not the best first kiss (would that even count?), I think, but definitely an interesting one.
