I like mechanical pencils the best, regular pencils when you get a perfect point are good but dull shortly, and sharpening is just annoying. I don't like the feel of pens, and those cheep pens all ways stop working on me, I guess I press to hard.

I hate pen with a passion. White-out is also a miserable thing to have to use.

Anyways, I like myself a classic HB 2 pencil, though mechanical pencils are really nice and smooth to write with (but break too often).

When it comes to actually writing stuff though, I've come to love my iPad. I get blisters on my fingers with how much I write ;3;

Why iPad over computer keyboard? I don't have a computer, so I'm used to my iPad. I can also sit in comfortable positions with a mobile device~

But anyways... HB 2 is master race xP

I usually love writing in pen. I have so many pens that are different colors and for my different moods.

I barely write (and prefer typing overall), but I always use gel pens and regular pens, just looks a lot nicer than pencils to me.

Same. I prefer pens over pencils.

When it comes to writing specifically.. there's no going past these 3 which i prefer for 2 separate reasons..

Artline 200 Fine 0.2 (0.4 is a good one too) Do to it almost never failing to write as well as being very neat and good looking writing thanks to the good amount of ink release..

My personal favorite pen ;)

and there's also 2 variations of erasable pens that I like.. There's Papermate's Frixion, which i found was great when it was first out.. but i found it didn't work so well and the ink quality wasn't that good, by that i mean it sometimes wouldn't write and the ball point wouldn't moves correctly.. Despite it's problems it's a good one..

The new one I've tried recently is Papermate's Replay premium.. Its ink is a vibrant black, sorta like a black gel pen's Ink, and erased very well.. and with a fairly "flat" eraser part on it, It makes it easy to erase even just 1 letter in a word..

But yeah..

In order of favorites (Most -> Least)

Artline 200, Papermate Replay, and Papermate Frixion..

Pencil. I love drawing, and I MUST use a pencil because with pens you can't really fix your accidents. When I write I usually use a pencil because it's easier to fix my mistakes and I just write neater when using a pencil.

Pen

It's just personal preference. Though pens don't break like pencils, you don't have to sharpen a pen, and you can see their marks much better. Sure you can't erase when you use a pen, but I just cross it out and continue.
