I'm honest most of the time, but lying to people and messing with peoples heads when nothing is at stake is so much fun... :3 Like when you tell the truth in a way so that they don't believe you, or when they started trusted you to lie, but you don't, or vice versa... >:3

I don't lie about most things but on the internet I change a few things about myself so that my identity remains more hidden, nothing big or that makes anything I say any less true.

 

A few people once tried to image search and google search me so you can guess why I do it, luckily they weren't any of my irl friends so I don't need to be afraid of any consequences for that needless to say they're also not my friends anymore.

I don't want to vote in the poll as the alternative I'm looking for isn't quite there.

 

First off I'd like to split up the question into two categories: How honest are you to other people? and How honest are you to yourself?

 

To myself.. I really don't know. I mean I rarely notice when I lie to myself hah

To others, usually very honest. The only time I lie is when the truth will have a negative impact. I'm not talking about shit like -"Is my dress pretty?"  -"UUUH YES OF COURSE DARLING IT'S GORGEOUS!" but more uh "serious/important" stuff. You know, stuff that could mess up friendships, relationships. Stuff that prevents the cops from knowing you actually did download those films or when your parents ask if you watch porn. lol

 

Haha what I'm trying to say is, I'm honest when honesty is needed.

I am insanely honest, I won't spare your feellings which is good and bad. If you want someone to lie to you for your esteem, confidence, or ego then I'm not your guy. On the contrast, if you need some tough loving then I'm most definitely your guy. In being honest, I'm always looking towards your best interest and solely that. 

 

If i'm giving you advice/help then that's exactly what it will be and it won't be sugarcoated. 

 

That and I'm a sucky liar so even if I tried then it wouldn't work

I don't know where I fit. I'm definately not honest. I hate hurting others, and to be honest, you can't care about anyone's feelings. Unfortunately, I'm stupid and hate hurting others too much. I also lie for selfish reasons, like to get out of trouble or make myself seem better. I can't say I'm Loki, though. I actually hate lying. I am definitely not great at words.

I make an effort to be as honest as I possibly can be, honesty is the best policy after all. It just doesn't feel right lying, and after all the truth will be unearthed sooner or later - why not just be upfront about it? Now, I will not deny that I do make the occasional white lie to sugar coat the truth a little, but I really do make an effort to be as honest as possible. Even when in the short term it negatively affects me.

I can be blunt when it comes to certain topics, I am always honest in other topics, and about stuff thats nobody else's concern I can be dishonest about, especially if it avoids some misery. Usually about something that in ten minutes will be the truth anyways. ANything that matters I'm honest about though, but you gotta factor in biases, perceptions being different, logical fallacies, etc. SOme people think they tell the truth when its not true.
